304  Economy / Speculation / Re: how much of your life savings is invested in BTC? on: December 11, 2013, 03:30:08 AM
It didn't start off being so high, but now it is more than 50% of our savings (I didn't include my house).
just a friendly reminder your house is a liability not a asset

make sure you did not send the funds from a USA bank

care to explain?
platforms can merge their liquidity with each other so for example if other brokers  use soft-fx solution they can take advantage of btc-e liquidity

Question for btc-e.com admin

do you use http://soft-fx.com ?? i see the MT4 lagging some times and did not allow to place orders, making some trades move outside btc-e web orderbook

anyone ever noticed that fxopen has the same BTC/USD pair as BTC-E? but it's not enabled for trading

It is quite interesting how events materialize at expected timeframes, esp on longer timeframe cycles, kondratief cycle for ex.

Still unsure what to make of masterluc's predicted bear run for these next couple years.

Don't want to just be blinded, but I mean, at this point it just seems absurd.  Anything could happen obv, I'm certainly not betting on it.  Still interesting to read the varied perspectives.

just a small detail for u http://www.calpers.ca.gov/ is the 5th /6th word wide pension fund and they got 1% (LOL) since all the funds like this do relay allot on compounding few more years like this and u have a good scenario for a long time bear market

Has anyone figured out how withdrawals from MT4 work?

They said withdrawals are processed in 24h but that is not the case for me. I made 2 withdrawal requests, it took two days for the money to arrive in my account. Now I am waiting for a third and it's like 36h. If they send the money instantly to MT4, why does it take so much to withdraw? What is involved in this "processing"?

If anyone has experience please share it with me here. Others may benefit as well.

Thank you!
have ur positions closed

man you dont know when the market is ready to move on, this is zero sum game and if u think the next rally will be fuelled fully by new deposits u are naive, next push will be fuelled in a large part by pig money and there are plenty of people who can lose more money

Because the institutions that I consider big money - like Goldman Sachs - dont even own bitcoin. Yet.
I have different information about GS and Bitcoin.

Ok. So where are we going from here?  Did you call $400 as the bottom of this down cycle? Or are you really holding fiat to 2016?
dude just stop, understand there people will have money and they need to lose a large portion of that money so the market can move on

EW theory seems a bit too shady for my taste (though I tried wrapping my head around it in the last weeks), and his basic premise that "news follows TA, not the other way around" is something I strongly question.

how many times the market ignore the news, not just btc all markets ... u hear that on tv

when the TA become bullish good news is the kicker and TA become bearish news become the kicker, think about the news like a tipping point for a move

just look at all past news good bad and add TA on them to see the kicker
