I'm interested in buying more if need be but with the price I'd like to go slow and show I can be trusted also. I'm down to spend $ 175 right now, is that good?

I'd be interested in helping you if you can do $1000 or more.

Us trusted users are rarely interested in "a" bitcoin trade.  How much are you working with?

305  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Trade with ghostdog on: April 03, 2013, 03:11:14 PM
FYI:  John the dog acted as escrow for a trade between me and bitzing.  He re-used the BTC address of: 1A4Zy61v5XcoDmJ7265WLmtN7UW4ngdiqH for escrow, and then sent to my address of 1BFkQgvuaNnt2VEKm2CHzTJQVsxNm9G471 when we completed the transaction.

John, bitzing, please confirm.

Thank you.

Contract PM'ed.

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1

I agree to this contract.

- -EPiSKiNG

- -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1

The escrow address for bitzing(the seller) and episking's(the buyer) transaction would be:

17oChzmc1ttdnDcDZPDqpG6vu6GsRCCT7K

Please state and agree to the conditions (if item is received damaged, item lost with tracking, customs fee etc) beforehand.

If possible, GPG sign your agreement to prevent any discrepancies later on and please ship with tracking to prevent problems during delivery. GPG signing is not a requirement, and any verbal exchange in the form of private messages or posts on bitcointalk.org, or email is effective as a ‘statement of condition’.

The fine print:
This Contract is solely generated for the purpose of facilitating the transaction between the seller and the buyer, which refers to the pseudonyms used on bitcointalk.org.
The escrow holder, John, assumes and gives no liability or guarantees on the satisfaction of all parties involved, although he agrees to mediate and facilitate the deal to the fullest extent he is capable of.  On the event that any problems arises, he will release the escrow to whichever party that presents him with the most convincing proof and/or after an open discussion with others or theymos.
The verbal acceptance by both parties (or the failure to reject) and the sending of Bitcoins to the escrow address above constitutes the acceptance of the terms and conditions stated, and the activation of this Contract.

Please understand that I am doing this partly as a community service for members, I am assuming the risk of holding the escrowed Bitcoins, and I am using my own time to facilitate this transaction.
If it does not represent a burden to do so, please tip me at 1NB1KFnFqnP3WSDZQrWV3pfmph5fWRyadz .

Thank you.

John (the escrow holder)

My offer still stands.

310  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] Ziggap Bitcoin Sales Service on: April 01, 2013, 09:13:27 PM
As for me, I just PMed aethero on IRC.

Quote
[16:21] <Namworld> What's up with ziggap?
[16:24] <aethero> Not much, down for a couple of days attending to a few issues
[16:25] <aethero> Has some massive hard drive failure. Lightning took out my laptop and portable hard drive, toasting my keepass DB which had my forum passwords in it. Family issues at the same time means I couldnt attend to the site
[16:25] <aethero> I'm back, everything is fine Smiley
[16:25] <Namworld> Looks like people were incredibly worried from the lack of communication.
[16:25] <aethero> I noticed.
[16:26] <aethero> Im getting with theymos right now to recover the password db
[16:26] <aethero> the forum password*
[16:26] <Namworld> As long as you can sign with your OTC key, I guess that's always possible.
[16:27] <aethero> Man, all these people thinking I ran off with money. Kinda sad. 3 day outage and I'm a theif now.

Note: Non-authed, but his nick is password protected. People should probably standby until an official announcement.

I approve of this message. Wink

311  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] Ziggap Bitcoin Sales Service on: April 01, 2013, 08:44:02 PM
I just talked to ziggap, and they had a couple pieces of hardware go down.  They made good on a payment to me today for $1400 (not related to ziggap directly), and last weekend WAS Easter.

I expressed your concerns and I'm told they will be taken care of by end of business Wednesday (if not sooner).

312  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Seeking ~$5K worth of BTC (Cash Exchange) In Chicago (P2P) on: April 01, 2013, 05:20:22 PM
Hi, I am the foreigner (Bra-zil-zil-zil!!!) who is trying to buy the BTC´s. As already explained above, I am not allowed to carry more than 10k in USD, nor would it be feasible to me at this very moment. We are talking about ~ 5k USD.
All I ask is a far exchange rate and a trustable seller. If anybody wants to sell a smaller amount, I would not bother (or rather prefer) to split the deal into 2, 3 or more purchases from different people.
Thanks a lot for the help anyway. It is very difficult to move funds offshore from Brazil (I guess from many others countries too, that is one of the very reasons for the birth of bitcoin), so that we face a chronic shortage of bitcoins here. Anyone who sells their coins will also help to spread the cryptocurrency worldwide.
I cannot properly thank Phinnaeus for his help!! Thank you, bro!

I'll sell you $5000 worth via a cash deposit to my Bank of America account for 5% above the spot rate, or for cash in the mail, I'll do 4% above the spot rate.

Thanks!

313  Economy / Currency exchange / Buying $20k worth of BTC on: April 01, 2013, 03:49:33 PM
via cash in the mail or same day bank wire.

Send me your offers --  I don't pay above spot and you will be sending first.

314  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Seeking ~$5K BTC for cash In Chicago (P2P) on: April 01, 2013, 05:05:31 AM
Probably $5k worth of BTC, 5000K BTC worth in cash would raise red flags at a port of entry if undeclared. https://help.cbp.gov/app/answers/detail/a_id/447/kw/carrying%20cash%20in%20excess%20%2410%2C000/session/L3NpZC9GcmpXYkJtbA%3D%3D

Totally understood.  Thought the funds were already here.

5K BTC? or $5K worth of btc?

The former would get me out there for sure.

316  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Looking to buy about $2200 worth bitcoin.... on: March 31, 2013, 06:03:18 AM
Thanks for the offers. I was able to find a more secure, less worrisome method to buy my coins.

How'd you manage that?

318  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Looking to Sell $4000 in BTC at Mt Gox Rate for Cash on: March 31, 2013, 05:57:18 AM
I'm a first time seller located in Riverside County.  Doesn't have to be one buyer, willing to sell smaller amounts to multiple buyers.  I would prefer to transact in person at Pechanga Casino, where there is plenty of security.  Doesn't have to be right away either, some time within the next week or two.

I might be able to help you out.

PM me.

319  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Any Exchanges that allow Anonymity? on: March 30, 2013, 02:32:47 AM
I believe all exchanges are bound to AML regulations.  If you want to stay anonymous, your best bet is an over the counter, person to person trade, which I'm more than happy to help you with. Smiley
