301  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [AUCTION] Mixed Lot: AlpenCoin DIY, Crypto Candle, Bitcoin Bull, Bitpay silvers on: April 07, 2023, 06:32:22 PM
Lot 2 @ .0009BTC

I remember looking in to the crypto candle when I first saw their cheesy ass ad years back (believe I’ve even got that advertisement video saved somewhere).  I read their Terms of Service and it was a complete scam. I wonder if they actually ever paid out any bitcoin to winners, or if there’s any information out there that talks about it being a skam. Regardless, interesting part of Bitcoin history.

Also, it probably doesn't smell all that good either. Stop bidding!  Grin
Jokes aside I'm bidding for the novelty, saw it auctioned before and the concept seems interesting.

Flappy bird is the most played game on Bitcointalk!
Came for the Bitcoin technology, stayed for the gaming.
Bitcointalk, the forum that shows the bird to spammers!

At 11 coins for the CAPTCHA this is probably one of my most demanding posts here!  Cheesy

Srsly, I hope you might be able to somehow log the total game time for this event!

Edit: Session timed out while posting. Guess I'm a spammer now  Cheesy

What a great idea! One for me please.
And please roll it instead of folding it. Even if the cost is higher, it sure is worth it to avoid creases.

All the winners should have been contacted by now, thanks for confirming @fillippone, @GazetaBitcoin and @Royse777!

Not sure if Event of the Year qualifies, but would be honored to have one of these.
Yes, it does! Would love create and send you the Event of the Year print.
I don't think anybody would claim Fail of the Year print, but this is  Bitcointalk after all Cheesy

a very nice idea you have with the bca22 fine print and gives us the opportunity to also secure this artwork.
some questions i still have and that is, from which region is the artwork sent and would there be the possibility to order directly also a matching frame (i know, it is offered here an unframed version but you can ask Wink) and the whole fine art print then framed to send?
It's sent from the EU. Framing is possible and we've worked with with a great framing service in the past. This of course will increase the shipping cost.

Not sure if Event of the Year qualifies, but would be honored to have one of these.
Can I donate the cost of printing/shipping my print to making one for ChiBitCTy instead?
We're creating these on a confirmation basis, so if someone refuses (which is totally understandable!), there is no added cost to us. But we could consider that you donated yours to ChiBitCTy if it makes you happy Cheesy

Congrats to all the BCA22 winners! And of course thank you to icopress for organizing everything and GazetaBitcoin, Sorsis and everyone else involved for their contribution!
Took the liberty to start a thread detailing the fine art prints that Cryptios offered to sponsor the event. Link here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5440192
319  Economy / Collectibles / [REFERENCE][BCA22 prize] Open Mic Forum - fine art print BCA22 special edition on: February 17, 2023, 02:12:50 PM
First of all, congratulations to the winners of the Bitcointalk Community Awards 2022. The event already reached it's 3rd edition. We'd also like to thank icopress for organizing the event and everyone else that sponsored the event by donating their time, knowledge, money or a combination of them.
And of course, thank you to everyone that helped make this place what it is today, with it's ups and downs and everything in between. It literally wouldn't be the same without you!

As some of you might know, Cryptios pledged to sponsor the event with a physical prize consisting in a special edition of the Open Mic Forum artwork. The original piece was commissioned by us from likehiro of Hard Fork Studio, which you might remember from his awesome entry in the 10th anniversary art contest.

This thread serves as a reference and a way to present the print before contacting the winners to ask if they want to claim this prize. Thank you Fillippone for letting us showcase your print here.

Click the image for high res.

The Bitcointalk forum, as Bitcoin itself, is a very open place where each of us has a voice. the Open Mic Forum is a visual representation example of that statement.
This edition is a limited run of at most 12 prints, one for each category of the BCA22 (a digital high res file is available if for privacy or whatever reason you decline the physical prize, it's fine, we understand!)

Details

Giclée fine art print on Hahnemuehle PhotoRag Bright White, 310 gsm.
Size: 60cm/24'' wide, unframed.
Due to the cost of these prints, we will print them based on confirmation from the winners.

This item is not for sale, it is a 1 of 1 print for the winners of Bitcointalk Community Awards 2022. Another edition of this artwork will be available for purchase later + a surprize item.

Great to see they arrived intact and that you like them, really means a lot to us!

About the number shift, this was an error from our side! The lot system was confusing to everyone, including ourselves. First auction, first mistake - lesson learned  Cheesy
We also went back and forth about what how many and what numbers to auction off. On the plus side, everyone got a lower number.
Sorry about the screw up and hopefully this isn't a big deal to anyone! We will try to make it up in the future.

This means the #1 prototype and #10,11,12 remain. We will post on the forum and contact those of you that wanted a heads up after missing this auction (know how it is, it sucks  Cheesy).

Thanks again and hope the rest will arrive soon and that you will enjoy them!
