301  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is a Madmax outcome coming before 2020? Thus do we need anonymity? on: December 21, 2014, 07:43:13 PM
When the State removes the effects of the free market and attempts to establish women as equal to men (which they are not), then fertility and society collapse. Watch 2016 onwards the horrific outcome...

I agree that women are not equal to men. Women are more compassionate, more loving, more social, and more self sacrificing. A strong argument can be made that they are the superior subgroup.

You fell for propaganda. It's pretty much the other way around or equal in some cases. They are not more compassionate and loving, I would say they are more selfish, exploitational and more violent. Self sacrificing? I mean where do you get this stuff, Hollywood?

XRP won't go below 2 cents again.

Sure, and bitcoin won't ever go below 400.

I believe I know what needs to be done in terms of an altcoin. But getting it done may be more than one man could do timely.

Why don't you start campaign to collect funds? If jl777 and Vitaly managed to collect funds, I am sure you could get at least enough to sustain yourself and small team for a year.
304  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin as an investment on: December 15, 2014, 08:53:30 PM
The long term slow drop in Bitcoin value, is it the result of bad press foist by banks or the dumping of mined Bitcoins by large farms like those associated with KnC?

The main thing is there is less demand than one year ago which is typical for post bubble period. Then we have less press coverage, centralized mining which must sell to have positive ROI, unfavorable regulation & bans in some countries, regular auctions of seized coins, possible returning of gox coins, possible slow selling of stolen gox coins, merchant selling pressure. Bitcoin is fucked until we see something that will spur the price - new demand like accounts seizures, higher inflation, new great app,....

Impulse continues, bear flag triggered.

Good good, got my money ready Smiley

Any estimate of target? Sub $200 was a typo, right?

Nobody knows, depends on a level of panic, but below 200 is not impossible.

The relative lack of interest by whales, compared to small fish, seems bearish too.

Why do you think whales are any different than small fishes? Psychology behind is the same - they will start buying after new uptrend starts. Whales are not any smarter or less afraid of falling prices. People are attracted to raising prices and not to falling prices regardless if you are millionaire or not. Simple fear and greed control markets and nothing else - fundamentals are bullshit, people were buying tulips, collecting baseball cards and similar shit.

I feel current situation as my fault: I was too slow with new  GUI implementation and price is going down because some people think that BBR can be abandoned.

I'm trying to complete it ASAP to fix this problem.)

It's not your fault. There is also BBR:XMR ratio and xmr in also in capitulation mode + BTC is falling and people want to get in cash to buy back later.

Can't Zoidberg come work for Monero?

Heard that Monero can pay for coders, but have hard time finding competent coders that understand the CN codebase.

lol

Sure he can, but he can also try to outcompete Monero. Isn't this better?

One has not fully grasped the stupidity of the the whole financial sector until one has understood derivatives. It's howling mad nonsense like derivatives that are responsible for the current worldwide economic shambles.

It's sad that 6 years after financial crisis people still blame imaginary objects for problems. The problems aren't derivatives, the problem is the government, but the main problem is YOU who believe in every shit someone tells you about. Governemt is their to create moral hazard and lure people into hell.

Derivatives are OK, they are good and needed in this world. Peoples and companies need to hedge to save their asses from unexpected things.
310  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: trading Forex with Bitcoin deposit/withdraw on: December 04, 2014, 05:21:32 PM
@TradersWay,

Can you explain why a Withdrawal in Bitcoin can be denied and your company recommends with response to use a Wire transfer instead?

So you can only deposit using bitcoin, but withdraw only with traditional banking methods?

I think this article fits this thread: http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2014-11-12/russell-napier-declares-november-16-2014-day-money-dies

Summary: the upcoming G20 meeting in Australia is supposed to bring new rules on the ranking of bank deposits. By all means bail-in-able in case of bank trouble, leading to the question: why hold money in a bank account instead of cash?

I guess Cyprus was only a experiment how people will react - nobody got killed, so everything is OK. Worldwide implementation may continue.

319  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 24, 2014, 11:55:13 AM
Guys I have a question, especially for traders of other stuff (stocks, commodities, indices etc).

Which other asset has similar volatility in the same timeframe as Bitcoin? And with good volume?

I want wild price fluctuations in about the timeframes that BTC has (not so fast as forex).

Any ideas?

Help appreciated.

FX has usually daily volatility around 0.5-1% and I would say this is quite low volatility compared to other assets, there are of course strong trend moves which can change rate 10-30% in a couple of months.

I would say VIX (volatility index) and it's derivatives (VXX, XIV, TVIX...) resemble the BTC crazy moves. When stock markets are in uptrend expect around 5% daily volatility, when in crashing mode 10-30% daily volatility is normal.
320  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 21, 2014, 10:57:57 AM
I wonder how many QE can US do before the crash.
Will we see QE 10, QE 100 ?
Can the madness go on forever ?

The rest of the world is in more shit than USA. Capital has found save haven in USD as the rest of the markets are in poor condition, for example EU is in deflation and soon there will be nobody willing to lend to some of the EU members (France, Spain,...) which may need to default and thus many investors find holding Euro risky. There are taxes raising everywhere in hunt for money to prolong govermental status quo and socialstic utopia in many countries. Oil prices are only indicator that we may go into another global recession in the next months and investors are expecting lower demand for energy.

What will happen when West Europe goes bankrupt ?
The economy is global but as long as there is no real crash, everything goes well and USD get stronger.

If EU goes down it will also affect USA. Strong USD is a problem for USA as it becomes less competitive and strong USD is also a problem for many countries that borrowed in the USD. It's like vicious circle and "invisible hand" will always rebalance things. I guess more pain to come in the next years as countries will deleverage it's debts or defaults. Wars are also very likely scenarios as crisis just calls for blaming others for things you did wrong (as we saw in Ukraine you only need few idiots and momentum and shit can happen).
