301  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tatsuaki Okamoto = Satoshi Nakamoto? on: June 16, 2013, 09:35:59 AM
sorry I'm just curious, is it really important we know who satoshi is? Even if someone did know with absolute certainty, who he is... Would he/she even reveal him/her to the world?

I mean think about it. Satoshi gave us this amazing technology. Would anyone really want to expose satoshi's identity? Satoshi invented crytocurrency. A huge part of cryptocurrency is anonymity. The anonymity is there for a reason: Satoshi wants to left alone. Why persue knowing who he/she is?
302  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will you do if governments try to take away your bitcoin? on: June 16, 2013, 09:27:43 AM
They don't have to pry over your dead hands, just get them out of your computer Sad

Cold storage baby!
303  Economy / Goods / Re: WTS Laser Engraved goods (aluminum business cards, cold storage drives, more!) on: June 14, 2013, 06:03:46 AM
Would it be helpful if I had a prototype to display?

I  kind of also like the Idea!

Would it be possible to do something like this?

http://www.bitaddress.org/bitaddress.org-v2.4-SHA1-1d5951f6a04dd5a287ac925da4e626870ee58d60.html

-->>Paper Wallet

Businesscardsize!

Yes this is possible. Shouldn't be too hard at all!

I can engrave any info you wish onto these cards. Custom messages, bitcoin addresses, private keys, qr codes, just about anything!

So we're clear: I am not currently producing these. This post is to gauge interest. If anyone can honestly say they would buy a product listed above, please put that in a comment!

Hi, what kind of price do you see the business cards selling for?
I like the idea of having a card that could be used as cold storage, maybe two factor.

Right now I see the business cards selling for
$9.99 (in BTC) for 1 - 2 cards
$6.99 (in BTC) ea for 3+ cards
$4.99 (in BTC) ea for 6+ cards
$4.49 (in BTC) ea for 11+ cards
$3.99 (in BTC) ea for 20+ cards
$2.49 (in BTC) ea for 75+ cards

These might seem like it's a bit expensive, but keep in mind these aren't some cheap flimsy paper cards. They will be laser engraved onto sturdy aluminum.

(These prices do not include shipping. contact me for custom shipping prices.)

Yes having a card that is linked to a cold storage savings account sounds very nice!

Also a reminder, these cards will be custom engraved by me personally. I'm not just designing them and sending the designs off to some company. Smiley

307  Economy / Goods / WTS Laser Engraved goods (aluminum business cards, cold storage drives, more!) on: June 13, 2013, 06:25:45 PM
Hello everyone! I recently got a membership to Techshop, and with that membership, a laser engraver.
So I was trying to come up with stuff to laser etch, or engrave, that could be useful to the bitcoin community.

Here's what I have come up with so far:

- A USB key thumb-drive engraved with the bitcoin logo. (Perfect for cold storage) Link to possible USB drive for engraving: http://postimg.org/image/thcqzbjxj/

- A QR code aluminum business card, complete with Name, Business, phone number, physical address, bitcoin address,
choice of small or large bitcoin logo, and QR Code that links to either your bitcoin address (for easy payments)
or a URL of your choosing. Engraved onto aluminum, this business card will stand the test of time, and convey
professionalism.

- Acrylic laser etched "Bitcoin accepted here" sign with double sided foam tape for hanging in store windows.

I am open to suggestions of new products, but for now this is mostly a post to see if there is any interest out there for anything like this.

If this sounds interesting to you, please comment below, and let me know which products you would be interested in. I want to make sure there is enough interest in this before I order any supplies.
308  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Would anyone be interested in buying jewelry for bitcoin? on: May 30, 2013, 10:03:36 PM
What type of jewellery do you have?

I think it might benefit you if you post what you have first, or put them onto bitmit.net

That's probably a good idea. I'll do that.
309  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Would anyone be interested in buying jewelry for bitcoin? on: May 29, 2013, 11:48:07 PM
I'm guessing since nobody answered, that there is no interest at all?
310  Economy / Marketplace / Would anyone be interested in buying jewelry for bitcoin? on: May 28, 2013, 10:48:05 PM
Hello, I'm just posting this as a question. I'm trying to gauge whether or not there is a market for buying jewelry with bitcoin.

If I were to start a thread, that I would constantly update with my inventory of jewelry, as well as links to photos, would anyone be interested?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

P.S. I DONT carry costume jewelry.
311  Bitcoin / Hardware / I preordered a BFL Jalapeņo early February. Worth keeping, or sell on ebay? on: May 15, 2013, 06:41:45 AM
Hello, my question is two-fold:

1. Should I keep my pre-order of a BFL Jalapeņo, that was placed early February?

2. How much would an early Feb. pre-order go for on ebay? (ballpark estimate)

Thanks in advance to anyone who replies!
312  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is there a website I can buy groceries at? on: May 10, 2013, 03:00:20 AM
I haven't done it yet myself, but here's an online grocer, which you could order from with bitspend.net:

https://bitspend.net/

Pretty sure I saw a post on someone doing this here about a month ago.

I looked into that. Hmm, It seems like that's a little long and involved, having to copy and past the URLs for each item... Is there no website that just has "add to cart" and "checkout" simplicity?
313  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is there a website I can buy groceries at? on: May 10, 2013, 02:42:16 AM

314  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is there a website I can buy groceries at? on: May 08, 2013, 02:12:17 PM

320  Economy / Goods / Selling Silver! Take a look at my collection... on: April 25, 2013, 08:33:20 AM
Hey everyone, this is my first time offering anything up for sale with bitcoin, so please don't be too harsh if I do something wrong.

Anyways,
I want to sell my silver for bitcoin. I would LOVE to sell them all as a lot, and if you buy it as a lot, then shipping is on me! If however you would like to purchase individual items, a small (most likely 0.01 BTC) shipping charge will apply. Interested in individual items? Then make me an offer! The worst I can say is no. I've never used an escrow service before, but I am willing to use escrow, if you buy a reasonable amount. If you just want to buy one of the dimes then sorry no escrow.

Please post your offers as a reply to this topic!

Thanks!

Here's a link to the photo gallery: http://postimg.org/gallery/12fbz02q/

1943 War Nickel - it's very dark in color, but you can definitely make out the 1943 in person. I can't make it out in the pictures, but maybe you can.
