301  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [2000 Feathercoin Bounty] Promotional Animation/Video on: May 06, 2013, 09:52:39 PM
I could assemble a team of 4 people who study cinema(skills+free equipment) + me, but no one knows much about animation (they can do intro and that kind of stuff, but not the whole story). I would have to talk to them and convince them, since some of them don't know cryptocoins at all.
Anyway: we could initially work privately and with the community on the script. And if they agreed we would move on. If not, someone else could use the script.
Cause, you know: the script is the most important part of this job. You can get the guy who made Brave (pixar) to work for you. But the final result could turn out shit, because of the lack of a good script.
We know video marketing is very good, and I think this is the community interest. It would be dull not to use all of it's power to achieve the best possible script.
What ya think?

If everyone would rather make this project a big collaboration rather than a competition, I could (and maybe some other generous Feathercoiners) donate coins and the total bounty collected for the project can be distributed among all the contributors proportionate to their efforts/ideas. Maybe assemble a team of people to talk through its process, design, and creation.

I thought Bushstar will take control of this coin seriously But he failed. Price is going down and down.

Any future plan for this coin?

Things take time. You can't go from a wannabe to an all-star in a month even. People need to get used to the coin before they accept it. All of us in the community are chipping in some of our time trying to get this and that done in promoting it, myself included. If you have time why not check out the Feathercoin forums and donate some time and brainpower? Smiley Besides, prices are unpredictable now because they are being controlled by pump and dumpers. There's nothing we can do about it at all if they control the majority of the trade. Until we get some more more merchants to use it, the pump and dumpers will have the majority of Feathercoins. On top of that people who mined a lot are dumping their coins, so it's not bushstar's fault, it's the people who mined to make a quick buck rather than support a viable currency.

304  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are all the alts suddenly tanking against BTC? on: May 06, 2013, 11:50:35 AM
FTC/CNC are only getting dumped by the miners.

Does anyone REALLY believe, that will be used as currency to buy things in the future?

Actually there's already been adoption by a few merchants such as a floor cleaning product called Got Spots and an SEO/web design service.

I was honestly surprised... an hour ago it was just under 5k and now it's just about 8k. Anyways I'm glad for Feathercoin's achievement Smiley

314  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: need some advice on buying some feathercoins on: May 02, 2013, 07:12:01 PM
Look, if you want to spend 4BTC or 6BTC for the risk of buying FTC, go ahead. But spending that much money on a clone coin only a couple weeks in existence, especially since the OP obviously don't know Crypto very well, is a very bad idea.

EDIT: the fact that no one else seems to be chiming in to agree with me makes me think there are a whole bunch of wolves who are more then happy to take your dads six thousand dollars. So, well, have at it then. Don't say I didn't warn you. :-)  Wink

Thanks for your help (sarcasm). My Dad did pretty good today!!

Congrats Smiley
315  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CHNcoin will be the death of Feathercoin! on: May 01, 2013, 11:48:49 AM
There's a difference. The dev for FTC actually takes active part in the community growth and participates in public discussion. As for CNC, well we haven't heard from the dev since he released his post, which only made his total post count 7. Not to mention his account was only created yesterday as opposed to bushstar who has been in the forums for almost a year.

So how is everyone liking all those people trying to scare people into crashing FTC's by making a big deal of the upcoming difficulty? lol
What do you mean upcoming? The difficulty increase the last 2 days has halved my daily coin output, that's a fact not a scare tactic.

I know, it's halved everyone who mine's FTC including me. But lately people against FTC have been making it a big deal with the jump from 40 to 80 something tomorrow. They don't realize it's already made 4x jumps several times during the first week. Not to mention even halving half the miners jump off after a big difficulty change isn't going to kill FTC.

319  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [FTC] In 16 hours, the fun could be over :-) on: April 30, 2013, 07:11:24 PM
Well who knows what'll happen, look at TRC and all they've been through with the crazy ASIC jumps. They went from around 6k difficulty to 160k difficulty at which point a majority of people jumped the ship, and they're still around today and their price even doubled from what it was before after everything was fixed and settled. Thing is no matter who says what for which side, it'll follow its own course. FTC difficulty is merely jumping x2 compared to almost x30, not to mention FTC seems to have a larger long-term support base than TRC had at the time of their troubles.
320  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [FTC] In 16 hours, the fun could be over :-) on: April 30, 2013, 06:55:15 PM

Keep truckin' along. Big time miners can go back to LTC and forget about FTC. We need a difficulty roller coaster to shake them.

Maybe he's trying to play the market at an exchange? I know I did to make a couple hundred FTC on cryptonit
