301  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: How is bitcoin supposed to be? on: June 26, 2018, 09:26:23 PM
If you search at the google about bitcoin for criminals, there is a lot.
For example at this link https://www.thesun.co.uk/tech/5092224/criminals-use-bitcoin-for-dark-web-illegal-activity/amp/.
So if there is nothing correct regulations, maybe a lot of countries will be block this payment system.
And as the effects, price of BTC will be drop soon.
So let's start to discuss, what it the right regulations to avoid Bitcoin used as a payment for crime.

Government now implementing law to avoid this scenario. Though it's not followed by the others because they want "decentralized system" to avoid or bypass taxation. The Anti Money Laundering law(AML) is implemented to avoid people from bypassing their burden tax through Know Your Customer(KYC) which force to reveal the identity of the crypto user before they withdraw and liquidate their cyptos. Every bank uses KYC to know who uses their service and what kind of transactions he/she made. Many people don't like it but there's nothing much they can do about it. Yes, people use dark web to buy stuffs there. But to liquidate crypto, it is impossible to do without being traced or reveal your identity.

Try to read this first.

You must be aware of this rules about merits. Try to read sometimes at Meta sections where all rules about this forum are posted. It's very hard to receive merits. So try your best to make your posts useful and helpful to others. I saw some of your posts. Seems you have to make some improvements on your posting. Some of them are 1 liners that doesn't make any sense(sorry). My tips how to get merits is go create interesting topics or tutorials. Tutorials are good source of merit in my opinion. I'll give example https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4541732.0
It will give you all the elements that you need to make an interesting topic and get some merits from it. Hope it helps you.
303  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Trading bots are running this market! on: June 25, 2018, 10:13:09 PM
This is something I've been worrying about. The Bots are maniputing the market by using fake volume and inflating the prices so the investors have to overpay on their trades. Anyway, for those who don't know what bots are. Bots or trading Bots are automated trading program to buy and sell automatically. Usually they are using for short term trades. They are responsible for market crashes causing people to suffer and loss their money. Just like what happened on BCN. From 4/digits to 2 digits. They pump the coin and dumped it really quick. But not all of them are consistent. Sometimes it can help you. Sometimes they're not.
304  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best, cheapest place for Cryptocurrency exchanges? on: June 25, 2018, 09:56:50 PM
Im using only Binance because it's secured and all listed coins/tokens there are quality. Also it offers cheaper withdrawal fee which is .0005btc for every transaction. Far more cheaper if buy their own coin BNB which gives you more cheaper fees. I don't know other exchanges offers this kind of privilege to their customers. I also think Kucoin does the same way too. Since they are offering tokens at their exchange. I just don't know what other privileges they are offering. I wanna trade there in the future.

Poloniex is good exchange too. Actually, it's my first exchange to use. Just the maximum threshold there for non activated account is way too small compared to Binance which is 2 btc for non activated account. But my experience there is good. Just few glitch at their system sometimes. But the team is working fast to mitigate it.
305  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best altcoin to hold for long term? on: June 24, 2018, 10:32:55 PM
You can buy TRON/TRX. This coin is a potential altcoin that can compete with other top altcoins in the market. Right now, it's on their way to their token migration which they are getting out from ethereum platform. In other words, they are now an independent coin. June 26 (if im not mistaken)is the date of migration. Though im not sure if TRON will boom because of weak market. But this is 10 year project to develop. Also it has large community which supports TRON. So HODL it and im sure you'll get some gains from it.

Anyway, if you're afraid to buy some of it. Then i think you should stick to top 5 altcoins in the marketcap right now. I think they could give profits in the long run. Bear market is really makes altcoins drop for weeks now. If you're thinking about buying. Then i think it's the right time go buy. Good luck.
306  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Slovakia: The Central Bank is fighting the crypt on: June 24, 2018, 10:10:14 PM
I think adoption of crypto there could weaken their economy even more. But the government is not looking for alternative solution for this. Instead of being hostile. Why don't just impose tax for every crypto transactions? Other countries which are crypto friendly are now imposing tax. At least the government get benefits from it. But seems to be the decision is finally made. Citizens cannot do much about it cause they could be criminalized by the authority for using cryptos. Anyway, if the government just ban crypto at their territory, i think citizens can trade outside exchanges. There's still hope for them. They just have you use money remittances like Wetern Union or something like that.
307  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: South Korea Opens Doors for Cryptocurrency on: June 24, 2018, 12:40:05 PM
Hope huge country like China will also do the same thing as South Korea. They see cryptocurrencies as good investment. South Korea soon to be the cryptocurrency haven just like Japan. Imposing 10%-15% on trading tax is not bad. Atleast their government is not thinking about prohibition of usage and trading cryptocurrency at their territory. Philippines is known to be a crypto friendly country too. People are just not properly educated about it. Also they've already got an local exchange there. So if the government is optimistic about it. Im sure this country will be known to be crypto haven too. At last, we a good news today. I hope there's more to come.
308  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why today another big drop? on: June 23, 2018, 11:08:08 PM
Hello, do you know why today is another big drop in crypto market?
What is happening? I thought that there will be positive trend because last day were green.

Maybe market just reacted from the recent FUDs which was the hacking of Bithumb and the questions about Bitcoin's legality worldwide and many more. Huge capital was pulled out from the marketcap causing Bitcoin falls down to $6100+. This is not new to me. I think whales are manipulating Bitcoin to scare investors and sell their Bitcoins so they coulld get handful of Bitcoins. Some analysts predicted that Bitcoin could rebound to this price which contrary to what markets movements and it makes investors lose trust to Bitcoin and i think it's a possible reason why Bitcoin dropped $700 of its price. We all don't know what's the reason why it drops hard.
309  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What signup method do you prefer on Bitcoin gambling websites? on: June 23, 2018, 07:34:34 AM
Just the traditional betting site. Just username and password for me and e-mail for recovery options and withdrawal confirmation. May be just add some additional features like Binance for anti bot. It should be work just fine. No need for other stuffs because it's gonna be annoying. I don't like the automatic sign up. It looks shady to me. Most gamblers don't want their identity to be revealed. So i think sign up with your social media account is ideal to use. Anyway, it's just my opinion.
310  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Should I buy the current ICO? on: June 22, 2018, 01:05:27 PM
That's really depends on what kind of ICO you are going to invest. Good ICO has its reputable developers and huge community who supports the project. It doesn't matter if the concept of the ICO is a bit bad. It will successful because there's huge community who supports it. And most of all, you'll never have to worry about scam because you picked a reputable developers. But it is up to you how you find them. Also i give you keys to find good ICO.

1. Available supply - the lower the supply, the faster the price could soar after it hits the market
2. The idea of the coin - how or what problem it could solve. Better look at their whitepaper

ICOs can give you huge profit if you know how to find them. You must take a research first before jumping into any kind of investment.
311  Economy / Speculation / Re: Did you buy bitcoin in December 2017? on: June 22, 2018, 12:30:34 PM
Well, that's the risk of investing on Bitcoin. If you let your emotion control you, you will never be a successful trader. They buy Bitcoin hoping it could rise more. They were wrong. Luckily i already sold my btc to another altcoins before it falls down to $12k so i can get more profit. Sad for those who buy at the peak. They should keep their Bitcoin a little bit more. There's still a chance for Bitcoin to rise again. We are just at the first half of the year. Many things can happen.

Quote
That's my mistake. There are many analysts saying that the price will rise to $ 25,000 on December 31, 2017. So I invested a lot of money to buy bitcoin for $ 18,000.

Wow! That must be almost the half of what you invested. Sorry about your loss. This is unexpected. I thought Bitcoin will rise even more this year but it's not. I loss $20k because of this bear market
Hope it recover soon. So i recover atleast half of my portfolio..
312  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bounty on: June 21, 2018, 05:27:27 AM
What i did from my previous bounties, i took a reseach about the project that im going to enter. Good projects has it's good team of developers. Just take a look at their profile and look if they are reputable team. I got scammed once and that's very frustrating because the bounty campaign took 2 months of shilling their scam coin. Also, most of ICOs here has their ann thread here at ann section to introduce their coin to public. So if you don't see their ann thread, don't enter that bounty. But im not saying that every ICO that has its ann thread at the ann section are all legit. That's why you should look at the roadmap and their reputations. Also, one key to see if a project you want to enter is legit is at their codes. Source codes are important. Make sure that they publish their codes in public, and see if the third party has audited and validated the code. Well, if you're not good at this. You can do the easy ways which i have given.

315  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: At least 1 in every 5 ICOs is a scam! How to avoid the fraud? on: June 20, 2018, 10:28:56 PM

That stat is scary,i think ICOs should be regulated by Government,at least to some level. It will reduce the chances of scammy ICOs

That's why governments are now evaluating these ICOs to make sure that shady ICOs will removed and banned. So they won't be able to scam investors. There are so many scam ICOs out there. So every ICO must comply to every regulations that government needs them to do. For me, this is not a bad thing in my opinion. Many gullible investors are being scammed everyday. Atleast we see the government is doing something to protect us.

Quote
I think ICO's can never be regulated by the governments. These governments are the people stabbing us at our back so how can they regulate ICO's for us?

How they regulate these ICOs? That's very easy on their part. They just evaluate those ICOs. Of course quality ICOs can only pass. And when an ICO passed, then government will set a regulations which the ICO must comply. At this terms, they won't be allow to do any shady business and eventually scam their investors. Actually some countries are doing it now.
316  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: This market might split: SEC Regulated and other! on: June 20, 2018, 10:11:18 PM
This is why decentralization will not exist in the long run because of this. Now all centralized cryptocurrencies are able to survive. While decentralized cryptocurrencies are in danger. Anyway, a lot of scam coins specially are from ICOs. I think it's a right thing to do to protect every investor from being scammed by them. Every ICO must be a compliant of SEC's regulations in able for them to operate freely and to market their products. Some people rely on darkweb exchanges which are way more risky tgan regulated exchanges. I think people will force to embrace new changes at this new regulations which SEC wants to happen.
317  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bithumb under attack ? on: June 20, 2018, 09:55:03 PM
$32 million stolen funds is not that seriously affect the Bitcoin price despite of this recent hacking. But it is quite alarming because even the best exchange can be hacked. But the good thing is they are going to cover the stolen funds. Unlike other exchange that just disappeared. All exchanges should do this also so people who are using their service are insured. Anyway, the error was at their side. So people should not suffer from that loss.

I also heard that it got hacked and 35 billion were stolen.Has the hack affected the price of bitcoin?.can anyone explain me this?

Where'd you get this news? All i know is only $32 million of funds worth of crypto were stolen from Bithumb. 35 billion i think the value of money in korean currency. But good thing Bitcoin is not seriously affected from the recent hack. https://www.coindesk.com/bitcoin-retains-short-term-bull-bias-despite-exchange-hack/
318  Economy / Speculation / Re: ICOs are the cause of recent bitcoin fall. on: June 16, 2018, 10:27:37 PM
Yeah, because the volume goes to altcoins. Causing the price of Bitcoin to decline. That's why when altcoins are dumping, Bitcoin is rising.
But what happen right now is different. It's massive sell out which caused by nonstop FUD that caused the panic sell. And the futures expiration fueled the sell out. ICOs are not the reason why it keeps falling right now. But it can affect the price of Bitcoin. There so many factors that could be a cause of fall of Bitcoin. Not just ICOs. There are manipulators(whales), hacking and FUDs.

Anyway, people buy ICO tokens to make some profit because Bitcoin alone is making your money sleeping. ICOs can make your capital 10x or even more. But at the end of the day, they will sell it for Bitcoin.
319  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Beware of Binance!! on: June 16, 2018, 02:35:55 PM
Binance seems to be working fine to me. I've been using Binance for months now and so far so good. My log in was smooth. Just had a problem when i sell and buy at market price. Sometimes you see insufficient funds message. Anyway, it's just a minor issue. I think it's normal to happen when high volume exchange is taking a lot of volume from traders which makes the server to lag. But this should be fixed soon because a lot of money lose because of this system glitch. Binance should be atleast be fast on responding to any customers complain.
320  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Investment i Altcoin on: June 16, 2018, 01:35:58 PM
Hi

I have 300 Euro and want to make some profit . So i want to ask you all whichcoin i should Invest in. I want to Invest in Small Caps Altcoins so i can make quick profit, withhigh risk and high reward. Anyone have any suggestion.

They way how the market behaves. I don't think you can make easy money from it. I suggest search for good ICOs to invest with. You'll get cheaper tokens since its on ICO and get huge profit when it hits the market. Just make sure you've got quality tokens because there's so many scam ICOs out there. Just look at benchICO to get Ideas which are the good ICOs.

If you don't like ICOs. You can do day trading. It's way more profitable than long trading. But riskier so you must have the knowledge for this to make tbis profitable.
