461  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BTC and TOP alts price action. on: October 30, 2017, 07:23:52 AM
Don't consider to invest anything in alts now you did mention the fact it is going to be for mid term investment let me tell you there is going to be another SegWit in November which means we will again see alts falling it's better to do only short term trading now and set a stop loss.
If you wanna invest , do it a day before the SegWit because at that moment no matter what people will dump alts.

Yes, there's upcoming fork on Bitcoin in November. So expect the altcoin market to bleed for weeks again. But actually that's the right time to buy altcoins because they are way more cheaper than before. Actually, i bought some miotas a long time ago. Not that huge but i think i could get huge profits from that in a ling run. IOTA is a good long term invest because the devs are very active. Im pretty confident about this altcoin. I have some SYS, STRATS and XRP on my bag too.

Anyway, can't blame others why they dump altcoins for Bitcoin. They want quick money. So this is the best and quick way to get free money. Segwit2x seems good though. I think it's price may be higher than the other forks of Bitcoin.
462  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Mycelium or Electrum for mobile wallet? on: October 30, 2017, 07:03:29 AM
Electrum wallet is good in my opinion. They suggest what's best fees possible. In your case, you are only choose dynamic fees. Try to uncheck dynamic fees and it will give other fee options which is more cheaper than dynamic fees. .0001 btc/kb i think is the lowest fee. But those are not recommended because your funds that you're going to send might get in to trouble. Maybe it could get stucked in process but normally it takes days to receive the funds. But if you still don't meet your standards. Then switch to Mycelium which you can set the fees manually.

I suggest you to use only recommended fees because it's more safe and faster. I've used lower fees before and my fund were stucked. Luckily, i am able to accelerate the transaction thru txacclerator. I never used lower fees since that. I know the fee seems higher. So what i do is i don't send funds unless it's necessary.
463  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are the banks going to kick-out bitcoin with their new digital coin on: October 27, 2017, 12:25:28 AM
You know, there are saying that if you can't beat them, join them. That's what's happening right now.
Trying to be like any other cryptocurrencies. But they can't because the essence of cryptocurrency is not there. Cryptocurrencies are made for decentralization. Banks are against decentralization. So expect their cryptocurrency is centralized. What's the difference? No difference at all. They just imitate Bitcoin by using blockchain technology. I doesnt look enticing to customers. This is a joke. That's why i don't their project will be successful.  Cryptocurrency is unstoppable. But i think it's going to be a problem in the future. This must be supported by the government. This is great though. Atleast they are able to compete in a good manner. Not spreading FUDs to scare people.

464  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: October 27, 2017, 12:23:40 AM
Who are your guys early favorites to win the NBA Championship this year?

I would have to go with Golden State at 5/1 to repeat and win it all again.

I am 100% sure that the cleveland cavalliers will be win on that season and get back for the championchips tittle. Because there are so many all stars on there.
Like: Wade, Isia, Love, Rose, Lebron james and Crowder.

Are you sure about that?
It's not about all star. It's not about individual play. It's about how the team work together. Sure they are individually talented. But if they are not gonna work together, i dont think they are gonna make it to championship. Golden State is pretty solid when it comes to teamwork. And Cavs doesn't seem solid to me. Sure, they acquired some good additions. But they need to work with their chemistry. To be honest, I don't think they can match the play of Golden State. They are way too far to beat this powerhouse team. But let's see how they manage to adjust and able to beat this team.

465  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Should I Invest in Bitminer.io? on: October 26, 2017, 10:01:13 PM
Stay away from bitminer mate. It's a scam https://www.google.com.ph/amp/s/amp.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/54a2vt/its_been_verified_bitminerio_does_not_pay_out/
As you experience, you are not be able to withdraw your funds there. Many victims experienced that too. That's true.
Stay away from any HYIP ponzi scheme. You'll only lose your money there. Cloudmining can turn into a scam. If you their history, you'll know why people are avoiding them.

466  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tezos leaders ask for patience over dispute on cybercurrency project on: October 26, 2017, 08:46:47 AM
"In the Tezos fundraising, participants were told they were not making an investment, but a “non-refundable donation” to the Tezos Foundation, which is seeking not-for-profit status."

This is the biggest ICO ever if this is really true. I have not see any updates about the project this past few weeks. Until i see this news. That's really sucks. So everything that has been invested to them was all donations? What the hell? What will happen next? I feel sorry those who invested on this project.
467  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: XAPO TRANSFER STILL PENDING AFTER SEVERAL HOURS, NO TRANS ID, NO TRANS HASH on: October 26, 2017, 08:12:12 AM
How much time does it normally take? Should I cancel the transaction and make a new transaction in the app?

You cannot cancel a BTC transaction, once the transaction is broadcasted to network there's no way to cancel it. can you post the address you sent the coins to? you can obtain transaction id/hash from any block explorer(if tx was sent).

But there's no transaction ID provided. How's that?
That sucks. Im using Xapo few months ago. But never encountered anything like this. Maybe Xapo is just undergoing maintenance or something to fix. Anyway, Xapo is bad when it comes to support. Expect their response after several days. That's the problem with these online wallets and exchanges. If you want quick response regarding to your problem. Most of them are very urgent. But the response takes days and even weeks. Sometimes you feel that they don't care with their customers. Their support sucks.
468  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Does Coinmama private the private keys? on: October 26, 2017, 07:57:54 AM
I think CoinMama doesn't provide bitcoin wallets to their consumers. So impossible that they can have access to your bitcoin because you are the one who will provide bitcoin address in able to send the bitcoin to you. That's all i know. They are not not like Coinbase which they can provide wallet for you. They are just bitcoin broker. Just provide them your address which you have access to your private keys. Mycelium and Electrum can do that. Don't use wallet which you can't access your private keys. Usually online wallets doesn't support that feature. So, avoid them. Use only wallets that you can access your private keys.

Edit: maybe i can help you.

469  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Its good the China banned crypto because now the price doesn't need China. on: October 26, 2017, 07:38:33 AM
That can be true or maybe not. Cryptocurrency there are not actually banned. Exchanges and ICOs there are prohibited by the Chinese government to operate. Chinese cryptocurrency holders are now migrated to the other foreign cryptocurrency exchanges which they can freely trade their cryptocurrencies. So i still believe that China can still affect cryptocurrency especially it's price because the flow of capital is not stopped. But their influence for cryptocurrency is already gone. Now Japan is already conquering the cryptocurrency market. They are now going for mining which is China dominated for the past few years.

China i think still have interest to cryptocurrency. There are rumors that they are going to issue license to all exchange there. So, ban of cryptocurrency there is not going to happen. But still there's a possibility.
470  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What annoys or worries you most in crypto? on: October 26, 2017, 07:22:57 AM
Those scammers. They're the most annoying and what i worrying about. I receive several DM on my messages about their ongoing token sales. That's very suspicious because, why don't they post here so the public will be able to judge the project.? Also someone send me a phishing link. He almost got me. But it's not that serious because he just want to trace me. But he failed, because im using VPN. He can't trace what's my exact location. Anyway, be careful to those members here who just sending you some links. This is the reason why many accounts here are being stole.

Scammers now are already in the ICOs. So be careful what ICOs you want to join. Investigate their backgrounds to check if they are reputable ane trustworthy. Scam ICO gets millions of dollars from their investors everyday. That's why i can't blame other countries are now prohibit their citizens to participate in this kind of investment.
471  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Review of Bounty Campaign Managers on: October 26, 2017, 06:58:00 AM
For me, atriz so far the better campaign manager here. No offense to others. He is on time counting posts counts and sending the funds on time. He is also very active and also very lenient to his participants. Actually he still pay the participants who dont meet their required posts count. He let those participants to make up and post extra for the next round. Other managers cant do that. They are not going to pay participants who have not meet the requirement. I understand them. That's their rule. Participants must comply to their rules. Atriz is quite strict, but i understand that. The reward is high compare to the other campaigns. So participants should be level their posts to the rewards they get. We should be worth the rewards they are giving to us.
472  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Identify a fraudulent project? on: October 25, 2017, 11:26:34 PM
Me, im taking a research about the people behind the project. If they are reputable developers. I consider them as legit project. If i found out that they are not real. That's absolutely a scam. If you are tech savvy or code specialist. You can check their source code to github and compare them to other altcoins. Im not good at codes. So im not doing this. Check the whitepaper. Some project are just copy-pasted from other projects. And finally, the roadmap. Check the project if they have roadmap. Roadmap is their aim to accomplish their goals by presenting whether short or long term milestones. That's my strategy to determine what is scam or legit project. Good luck.
473  Bitcoin / Press / [2017-10-26] Distributed Denial of Service Attack Greets Forked Bitcoin Gold on on: October 25, 2017, 11:06:30 PM
Distributed Denial of Service Attack Greets Forked Bitcoin Gold on First Day

Only hours into its first day live, Bitcoin Gold’s Twitter account announced it had been hit with a distributed denial of service attack (DDoS), forcing its website down for nearly four hours.

Bitcoin Gold Site Suffers 10 Million Hits Per Minute

Bitcoin block height 491,407 was reached 23 October, more than a day earlier than anticipated, triggering the so called Bitcoin Gold hard fork. It is the second such fork of its kind since August, and another is predicted mid-November, Segwit2x, at block 494,784.

Not long after celebrating block height 491,407, the Bitcoin Gold (BTG) team noticed 10 million hits per minute clogging up its web traffic requests. BTG’s Slack channel later attributed most of the hits to internet protocol (IP) addresses routed through China.

was a clear a DDoS campaign was used against the site, which rendered essentially unavailable for four hours, causing numerous reports about either the team’s inability to insure against such basic attacks or the team’s lack of knowledge in critical areas of website security.

DDoS attacks are fairly routine, and many markets exist to facilitate those who wish to disrupt a company or group’s online activities. For under 200 USD, robot networks (botnets) can be had in the service of DDoS attacks. Smaller organizations are especially vulnerable.

474  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Anyone here living full time on cryptocurrencies? Can you give guidance? on: October 25, 2017, 01:18:18 PM
What is the minimum investment a newbie needs?

Did you mean here in this forum? If yes, the answer is no. Forum is for free. You don't have to pay anything.

> How do you select an investment?

I make sure that the investment i joined is not scam. On ICOs. I always carefully study their whitepaper, roadmap and developer team. Just to be sure that the investment i joined is a legitimate and not scam ICO. I avoid HYIPs. Theyre all scams.

> Do you HODL or day-trade?

Im more on HODL that day trade. Because it's safer than day trade. Im a student and day trade needs a lot of attention. It's time consuming because you have to monitor everything to make profits. Im holding some IOTA on my bag right now. Im going to keep it until next year.

Quote
> If you day-trade - how do you pick a coin that is day-trade worthy?

Well, i usually looking at the news. It's very helpful tool and give you idea what altcoin could possibly pump in the future.  Also i have joined a group from telegram which gives me signal what altcoin is good to buy.

475  Other / Meta / Re: How to Get Help w/Locked Account? on: October 25, 2017, 12:46:58 PM
You can move this thread to meta section. Are you sure you put the right password? That's the right place to report your locked account. Here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=24.0. Staffs and moderator will be able to help you recover your locked or hacked account. Just provide something that proves your ownership like staked address. Just give them signed message that proves that you own that account.
Did you check your account? If there's something changed like email change? If your email was changed. Then your account must be hacked by someone.
476  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Signature Campaigns on: October 25, 2017, 09:29:50 AM
I have never saw one. Actually it's very rare to see signature campaigns that are paying with popular altcoins like the examples you have given. Those are already huge altcoins now. They dont have to pay for advertisements unless they want to. Most of the signature campaigns or bounties are usually pay with their own products or bitcoin only. I think you can only earn them thru faucets. Bitcoin still what's people preferred here. Altcoins will be just dump for Bitcoin after the distribution. But still depends on the bounty owner/manager what they pay for their participants.
477  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Did someone make money with Steem (https://steemit.com/)? on: October 25, 2017, 09:06:29 AM
You can earn money from steem as far as i know. Just by creating posts and good articles. Also you can earn by commenting and voting. You have to build your SP(stands for Steam Power) which earns you STEEM. I never tried it though. But I've read some threads here about steemit few months ago. They are saying you can earn money from that site. But i think this forum is better compare to that site. Here you can earn good money. Steemit is good. But i don't know how to create good articles. Also, you have to be active to earn huge from this. If this forum never exist, i will join steem. But still this forum is the best.
478  Other / Archival / Re: ,,KYC" selfies for sale on: October 25, 2017, 08:47:19 AM
Are kidding me? Even on others jurisdictions it's illegal. Selling someone's identity could lead you into serious trouble my friend. Don't do that. If your identification documents came at the wrong hands. They can use it for something illegal. As the other said above. They can use your identity for illegal activities like money laundering, they can use your identity for scamming  attemps and other illegal activities. Authorities will come after you because you let someone use your identity for illegal activities. That's a messed up situation you don't want to be involved with.

Don't do that because you're gonna regret it.
479  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: So many coins to choose from on: October 25, 2017, 08:30:28 AM
Me, im looking for news and updates for upcoming events of a particular altcoin i want to buy in the future. Yes, most of the altcoins are just pump and dump coins. So if you see an altcoin pumping without any reasons or any unusual movement. You should be careful not to join them because that's is surely a pump and dump. Some people are trying to manipulate it's natural growth. Don't just ride the flow unless you know what you're doing. Invest only on good altcoins. Ethereum, Litecoin, IOTA and Monero are good altcoins in the market. Those are for long term because they have good future. Coinmarketcap is a good tool. I used to visit there and hunt some good altcoins. Try read news and upcoming events also. It can give you idea what altcoin will pump.
480  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DOGE INVESTMENT on: October 24, 2017, 06:26:39 AM
Doge or XDG is so low right now ... Do you think its the best time to invest in doge or it will drop until its gone Sad ?

Worst thing you'll ever do. Don't invest your money to them mate. I don't think there's a future holding these coins. They are not worth it if you ask me. Just make research about them first. Dogecoin is worst. Dogecoin has hundreds of billions of circulating supply. And every year another 5 billion tokens are being added to supply. Imagine how huge is that. That's why if you notice the price, it hasn't moving. Still on 2 digits of sats. Aside from that, the devs are not so active. No wonder why it became the worst altcoins. It's very risky to buy them because they are too cheap. Once it drops a bit, you lose huge. Just buy other good altcoins out there. Not these pump and dump coins.
