The site seem confusing. Icocoundown said the ico starts tomorrow but on their site they write (ICO started on 3pm Aug 5) ICO in progress and again the start here button for registration is not working. We also need there official thread here not a faceless project. No facebook nor twitter link.

We're now past the most serious obstacles in the transition from inhouse tests to distributed p2p server configuration, and working on integrating the features mentioned previously ( - we also call the Asset-to-asset exchange barebones, as it's essential for the HEAT architecture despite not being considered basic feature generally). Due to the extra time required we've also had a few moments to think about the surplus 606k HEAT and conclude it's best to distribute it to stakeholders with the genesis block. Thus the genesis amounts posted last night will get approximately 2.5% extra added on top.
For the web wallet thin client we're configuring a new URL so alpha.heatledger.com should remain a testing ground.

Exactly ! I have been sitting on a few investments which are still under development for close to 3 years or something like that. I don't complain as they are transparant and there is a huge team involved with a publicly available Github repository therefore I don;t mind waiting. My issue with this investment is a) its closed source b) this is a one man team c) they give deadlines which they never meet and the investors have no way of knowing whether there is a legitimate code base being developed which fits the purpose as advertised. I doubt we will see launch this month however I really really want to be proven wrong. They have already missed the deadline after being given close to 5 months extra time. The fact that they just realised this issue with the surplus coins on the launch day is disheartening to say the least. HEAT - PROVE ME WRONG |

The 19th wasn't meant to be an 'update of status'- The 18th was meant to be LAUNCH.

What will be some of the features to be expected on launch ?
Token transfer, Asset-to-asset exchange, private blockchain messaging at least are what we're aiming to enable. And some sort of demi-centralized BTC gateway to be able to trade the BTC/HEAT pair with any fluency of moneyflow. The core p2p however still is under configuration, let's see how the rest of the night goes, we need to be pushing ahead like no other. What has happened to mystery man of marketing? Not working for Heat anymore?
As you noticed the hiring offer the on HEAT web site has been changed to technical development personnel, with whom we can also work remotely. The onsite ad produced some contacts however it has occurred the Marketing lead / technical sales core team member needs to be employed full time locally and carefully selected from only the best. This we're currently doing with corporate hiring service. Until the product is ready there hasn't been much to sell as such and having full time marketer would've been waste of money. The contacts and leads we've built during the past years are much better handled by us founders ourselves than a fresh marketer stepping in, while with the product available (in fact meaning numerous various offerings enabled by the live HEAT mainnet and tailored to the situation at hand) the sales person(s) will be able to show his skills from a clean slate. I am confused by what you mean by 'aiming to enable'. Launch is in less that 3hours GMT time, You must know whether you are launching these features or not |

Not all of the advertised features will be available for genesis block. In fact the system will be relatively barebones at initial launch. It's work in progress with focus on the eventual 3rd gen scalability whose implementation has taken most of our resource in the past months, and still does.
