301  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: WHAT DOES A TRADER NEED? on: November 20, 2019, 01:01:08 AM
Reading news constantly and being on track?
Using platforms/tools?
Is trading view enough?
Thank you for helping in this matter!
A lot!

But one most important thing for trader is stability of emotion.

No matter how great you are at analyzing with different tools, no matter how long you do a research, mo matter how much time you invested to get experiences, if your emotion is not stable then you might take a wrong decision.
emotion controlling and lot of practice will help us to be good trader.most of traders didnt prepare their self with good skill before join in market.tools just a tool that could not used if trader doesnt understand how this indicator work.if ever heard false signal, it caused by trader that confused with tools utility. I am agree capability in controlling emotion will make us survive in our trading  carreer.

Emotions are going to be a poison for us if we will not control it properly because mostly we will not notice it until we have lost some of our money, controlling emotions will lead us to a better decision in our trades which can help us lessen our loss and indeed no matter how good you are at technical analyzation if your emotions are not stable then you are at risk of losing.
302  Economy / Economics / Re: Is small business ready to sell for cryptocurrency? on: November 17, 2019, 01:53:02 PM
The volatility of  cryptocurrency  might be one of the reasons to discourage small business from accepting any crypto payments in exchange to their goods,  perhaps if usdt is being considered they might,  because a small business might not be able to bear so much loss during bear season

Volatility can really stop people from accepting cryptocurrency as a way of payment but the main thing that can really stop people is the legality of the cryptocurrency in their country, if its not very well accepted then they won't think about having crypto in their payments. Well yes they can consider usdt because it's price is stable but you can't take the fact that if their country accepts crypto they will be surely interested in bitcoin, if you really want to create a business that accepts crypto you will surely be prepared about the market, you will know what to do when the market goes to a bear trend and bull trend and what actions you must do when you suffer in the bear trend.
303  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Smart hodling vs just hodling on: November 17, 2019, 07:32:19 AM
Many of us here are hardcore bitcoin believers. If you are anything like me, you've put most of your savings in bitcoin.

I am one of those bitcoin believers, but I dont see myself putting all my money or savings in bitcoin because I know the risk. Once that there is money involve then risk is heading for sure, I don't want to take high risk so I don't want to put ALL MY SAVINGS in bitcoin.

Quote
However, how painful is it to watch bitcoin price plummet?  Cry   Undecided  Roll Eyes  Huh  Sad  Angry
Of course it's hard to see that.

Quote
What do you think would be a smarter way of hodling bitcoin other than standing still, bag in hand, while watching the price go back down to the $3K range?
I don't think there is a smarter way of holding bitcoin.

You really shouldn't put all of your money/savings in bitcoin alone, yes bitcoin is profitable but just like what you've said its risky, having it invested on multiple coins is much better. Holding coins means you will not touch it or do anything about it because you are keeping it, you are holding so i think there is no such thing as smart holding because our one and only goal in holding coins is to wait for the right moment to sell it and have your profits, no one holds a coin just because he likes it.
304  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Altcoins or Bitcoin? on: November 17, 2019, 03:09:07 AM
The fact that altcoins like ETH, BCH and others are slowly gaining more use has made me thinking. If somebody were to HODL one currency, what could it be?
A 100% altcoin portfolio? Or a 100% bitcoin portfolio?
Or do you support holding multiple crypto coin holding?

If i were to hold a single currency it will surely be bitcoin but i do not prefer holding or investing my money on just a single coin, imagine what will happen if the currency you are holding losses its value then you would not have anything in your portfolio to back it up because it is a 100% whatevery currency you are holding, multiple crypto holding is a must do for us.
I like to hodl altcoins because it is cheaper and you can have many of it so that a little move up in price, you are making huge difference in your hodling. I look for valuable coins though not really easy to determine.
Cheaper and holding it more than bitcoin won't guarantee you will earn profit from that. I ever buy an altcoin which i think promising, but in few months later it turned to shit token and almost down to 1 sat, which make my investment value dropped so deep.
Since bitcoin halving will come soon, people would prefer to buy and hold bitcoin rathee than altcoin

Well maybe it is still a good time to invest on some really good altcoins out there because bitcoin halving may increase btc price next year and btc affects the price of the altcoins so you may also consider buying some good altcoins.
305  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to learn bitcoin trading? on: November 16, 2019, 05:59:58 PM
I have invested in bitcoin, and i would like to learn about trading bitcoin to hopefully maximize both my current and future investments.

Since i am completely new to the world of crypto i would appreciate it if more knowledgable people have any good resources or tips to share. Both for (hopefully) profiting from trading, and for practical tips on how to reduce fees, maximize security in a practical manner and anything else that is necessary and/or helpful in my quest to accumulate bitcoin.

One of the best way for a newbie to learn something like bitcoin trafing is through watching videos that explains the basics and as well as the vital information you will need to consider before, during and after doing a trade, of course before trading make sure you invested money that you can afford to lose because basically you're just a newbie and you are more vulnerable in doing mistakes and you also need to analyze the market whether it is a good time for you trade your btc, sell or just hold, during trading you must be wise on your decions and you need to have strategies that can save you when things don't go the way you expected it, do some research about strategies and by those you can even make your own and after a trade you should continue in looking at the possible things that can happen on the market and think about your next trade, that's all i can share with you and then everything will depends on you.
306  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can I still get wealthy through Bitcoin? on: November 16, 2019, 04:49:32 PM
You still have a chance to be a millionaire through Bitcoin... If you have the guts to invest a big amount of money in cryptocurrency however even if you invest a big amount of money you can't still be a millionaire if you don't have enough or proper knowledge about the market or trading.

You can gain profit from the volatile market take the guts on buying on the bearish market and earn a lot in bullish market however the risk of investing to a volatile industry is high so you should know the considerations you might get in investing to cryptocurrency industry.

Well you will also have chance even if you have invested a small amount of money but it will surely requires you a lots of effort to achieve it but whether small or big everything will depends on you, on you skills and knowledge, on how you analyze the market, the charts, that will dictate whether you will earn or not in bitcoin. After you have exert lots of efforts and money on bitcoin i think you can achieve what you want to achieve to call yourself a wealthy man.
307  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Buy now or wait for Bitcoin? on: November 16, 2019, 01:42:49 PM
I think this is a right time to buy some bitcoins because as we can see bitcoin's price goes down from above the $9k range back to $8.5k range, well for me this is a right moment to buy because i cannot lose the oppportunity, this is a perfect range for me to buy some bitcoin for long term investment. I really think that halving will trigger bitcoin's price to pump up next year and will give me some good amount of profits.
308  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Newbie should trade or not? Please give me idea. on: November 16, 2019, 10:44:16 AM
Hello every body.I am a Newbie. I joined Crytopia about four months ago. I hold ont and dog Now I want to practice to trade .Please help me give some idea for Newbie as me, I should trade or not? I really want to receive the instruction of the go-ahead, thank a lots.  Kiss Kiss
Well yeah it is a good thing for a newbie to try trading because this is something you can get profit but first make sure that you have studied enough about trading, i suggest that you watch videos because for me videos are good for you to learn something without having hard time understanding it because if you don't then you might just lose your money in there and remember that you will experienced losing money but take it as a fuel to move you further.

It is best to know the methods first. to trading to earn. Maybe you start it with small capital and try to increase it by buying the coin you want. There you will find the problems and fears you must overcome in order to be successful in trading.

All you have to do is learn all the mistakes so you know what to do next.

This is one of the best tips for newbies, start with small capital so that when you lose in a trade it will not be that big.
309  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How did you start trading? on: November 15, 2019, 03:50:27 PM
Hello traders!

I would like to know how you started trading? Any interesting articles,
videos or guides that you found helpful before you started?
Can you share your opinions and experiences please?

Well i learned about trading when my friends introduced it to me, they explain a little so i decided to check it on the internet, to be honest reading articles is not working for me, i barely understand things so i decided to watch videos and that is when i really understand trading, so after that i searched about the more technical things you will need to know like charts, candles, demand and supply and many more, so i suggest that we watched it because we can understand it more but of course reading is not bad at all but for me watching is much better than reading

311  Economy / Economics / Re: How many bitcoiners on here have actually used bitcoin/crypto for commerce? on: November 13, 2019, 05:07:34 PM
As of now i haven't used bitcoin/cryptocurrency as my way of payment to buy some stuff besides cellphone loads because i have not yet encountered a store that accepts bitcoin/cryptocurrency as an alternative way of payment but if i do i will definitely use some of my cryptos as my payment.

it's hard to find ecommerce that uses bitcoin/crypto, since steam no longer supports payments with bitcoin anymore. even more worst is that in my country prohibits all transactions that use crypto for payment.
at the moment I can only use bitcoin to pay for VPS/RDP or cloud storage (such as awesomerdp, wushare). it is better to exchange bitcoin to FIAT if it is indeed want to make transactions on e-commerce.

Exactly, i am having a hard time crossing paths with stores or ecommerce that accepts cryptocurrency as a payment so i mostly exchange it to fiat just to buy stuff.
312  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Mining o Trading? on: November 13, 2019, 11:40:40 AM

Base to base scenario kasi yan:

Mining - madami ako old friend nakilala na may malaking bitcoin mining dito sa pinas at still ngayun in progress pa din at patuloy ang kanilang mining, protibale ba o hindi? na more than a year ng miner.

313  Local / Pamilihan / Re: [Hospital] Accepting Bitcoin on: November 13, 2019, 06:07:45 AM

314  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Best ways of bringing Bitcoin to non-crypto users on: November 13, 2019, 02:26:22 AM
Just do it how most people do it, the easy and straightforward way. Earn fiat through a job, a business, or a gig, then use a percentage of the earned fiat to buy bitcoin in a peer-to-peer exchange. Or better, you can try to ask your employer to pay you straight in bitcoin.

This is exactly what I didn't strive for. In order for people to spend their hard-earned fiat for crypto, they have to be very convinced that what they're buying is worth an investment. If they get some crypto for stuff they do anyway that's a much better way of introducing crypto / Bitcoin to average people.

Ok, on the top of your head, name one investment where you got 800% profit in one year? Also, Bitcoin is a high risk investment and should only

form a small part of your larger portfolio. There is no guaranteed profits in Bitcoin investments, but there are a huge potential for large profits.

Look at the price history of Bitcoin and you will several opportunities where people could buy low and sell for a massive profit. I buy/sell old cars

and I use the proceeds to buy more bitcoins.  Wink

Not sure whether this is going the right direction, but what I meant is that giving non-Bitcoin-educated people easy access to Bitcoin by "just giving" it to them is probably a better path to adopting Bitcoin than telling someone: "Hey, there's this great thing called Bitcoin which can make you money - go invest!"

That's why I was also giving examples like Lolli or Wirex - people can just shop without thinking about the price of Bitcoin (at first) or whether they're making a good investment, because they get it anyway.

Exactly the topic was going a bit off track. People will not be convinced by just saying bitcoin investment is something you must try because it gives you profit, they need to see something in order for them to believed like besides giving bitcoin to them, you can show them how you invest in bitcoin and how will you earn your profit in there, once they know how to do something they will surely be interested in it and will definitely ask you some more about bitcoin investment.
315  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Investing on cryptocurrency is too hard for others on: November 12, 2019, 06:17:14 PM

I'm not sure if cabalism's bitcointalk charity program could also be used for this purpose.

I'm not against the initiative of the foundation. I just prefer to donate my coins to people who knows how to deal with cryptocurrencies.
