3001  Other / Meta / Re: Nominate (insert name here) to the default trust list on: May 30, 2015, 12:59:26 PM
Yeah I am added to Philip and Tomato's lists already so adding me will do not much. I only joked about being added due to the use of trust scores since mine is fairly high. I do think that with public disputes the default trust has gotten much better.
3002  Economy / Collectibles / Re: CASASCIUS PHYSICAL BITCOIN - In Stock Now! (pic) on: May 30, 2015, 12:45:08 PM
Is there any site (not eBay, the prices are fire!) still selling Casascius coins, with escrow?

What Casascius coin are you after? I have an auction up for the lowest priced coins he made right now -> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1072042.0

24 hours left on this!  Shocked
3004  Other / Meta / Re: Nominate (insert name here) to the default trust list on: May 29, 2015, 07:18:05 PM
I do not see the point of this thread...anyways the people I would vote for are already in the default list. If you are going off of trust scores than I should be in the list  Wink

1 - Remove DeadTerra
2 - Maybe add some people into trust lvl 2
3 - Not sure we need any more level 1 memebers
3005  Economy / Auctions / Re: [Auction] Casascius 2013 Brass Halve (Graded MS-65) on: May 29, 2015, 04:54:24 PM

I dont think there are any trust issues with Blazedout419.

Clearly not. Brewins is obviously just a signature spammer judging by his posts.

Agreed he was just looking for some posts...
3006  Other / Meta / Re: Are Forum signatures really useful ? on: May 29, 2015, 01:04:34 PM
BadBear...then why are the paid campaigns still allowed to continue? I myself have a flat rate so I am paid the same no matter what. It is a shame that these farmers ruined these campaigns for us non spammers. Either ban the campaigns or force them to some strong rules might do it?

Only a set amount of users
If members spam in your campaign - boot them or be shut down
No paid per post only a flat rate
Etc...

I think that would force the campaigns to pick only good posters and not farmers.
3007  Other / Meta / Re: Are Forum signatures really useful ? on: May 29, 2015, 03:46:42 AM
... Imagine a few dedicated signature spam hunters...might work? I think that personal signatures should always remain even if paid campaigns are banned.

The problem's that spam is so subjective. And the problem with signatures is each time I read something potentially stupid/insipid, I jump to the most likely conclusion: It's being posted to make some change. The fault is partially mine, I should be ready to give the benefit of the doubt (for the sake of that 1% who would've posted the inanity without getting paid). But we all know life doesn't work like that.
See what I mean, sort of?

I would rather have less spam and a few extra bans if given the choice. Signature spammers are pretty easy to spot though...just a thought.

If you wear a paid signature you just have to deal with it.
3008  Other / Meta / Re: Are Forum signatures really useful ? on: May 29, 2015, 03:21:35 AM
As far as I know, there is a software here created by a mod to lessen out the visual quality of annoying signature ads. If you don't want to see ads, then you might find that software useful. There is no need to disable forum signatures imo, but yes, I can agree that post quality nowadays are lower compared to last year when there are only a few signature campaigns available to the users.
I agree, the post quality has declined, you see so many newbies with the 777coin signatures and they are posting useless stuff in useless topics just to get the couple satoshis from the signature. However, disabling the signatures will only remove the signature, not the useless post made by the signature user.

But once signatures are disabled, you will see a drastic change on the number of low-quality posts that are related to signature campaigns. Low-quality posts and off-topic replies are sometimes made by newbies with their signatures so as to get a couple of satoshis. I myself do not support the idea of removing the signature, but maybe set another limit to newbies? Maybe they shouldn't be allowed to wear any form of signature until they reached the Jr. Member rank because as far as I can see, the most off-topic and nonsense posts are usually made by members with a newbie rank.

I think the forum should add some special staff members to be very aggressive and their job is to hunt down spammers. Imagine a few dedicated signature spam hunters...might work? I think that personal signatures should always remain even if paid campaigns are banned.

BTC0.56 if you throw in the piece of paper with "Brewins" written on it.

Haha.  Very funny.

.59BTC if you throw in the piece of paper with "Brewins" and add 'OgNasty' written on it.

Auction Update: The original paper will be included with additional text if requested!

3010  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: MoriartyBitcoin is also Envrin and BlackLilac Financial on: May 28, 2015, 05:53:20 PM
BlackLiliac scammed me too.

10 BTC bounty for whoever gets him arrested for fraud.

I will add 2 BTC onto that bounty
3011  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: ndnhc is an extortionist on: May 28, 2015, 05:48:18 PM
He is not really all that trusted when you look at his feedback. Pretty much all of his feedback is from running that campaign, and he does not even touch the funds...devthedev does.
3012  Other / Meta / Re: Why are there so many Egoistic People in the Default Trust List ? on: May 28, 2015, 04:17:07 PM
I can say with 100% certainty that QS and TBZ are not the same person.
3013  Other / New forum software / Re: Public ban list on: May 28, 2015, 12:15:11 PM
I think the user account should have a tag on it while it is banned. I think a little public shame goes a long way to deter people from breaking the rules.
3014  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] S1 Brass Casascius Error Coin - Sep 2011 Mint - Graded MS-66 on: May 28, 2015, 12:05:37 PM
This is most unfortunate. I looked through Astro's history, unfortunately he did not post an bitcoin address anywhere, so it will be very difficult to prove who owns the account now that it is locked.
arkab can strengthen his identity by posting an image of this coin (which is unique in terms of ANACS serial and vanity prefix) next to a paper slip with his new username.
It would properly not be enough to have theymos restore the account, but at least it would provide you prof for future transactions.

Under these circumstances is escrow mandatory - TheAnalogKid is already on top things in regards to this.

Good luck to both of you.

If only he had a unique desk to post images from... Tongue  TheAnalogkid is on top of it using escrow though.
3015  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [Official Seller] Silver Wallets - A New Kind of Physical Storage on: May 28, 2015, 11:46:40 AM
Eh, I have a gold-plated limited edition Silver Wallet and I don't particularly think it's that ugly. Even if I try hard to find any errors, I still can't really find any.

They are nice, I'll vouch for that. Definitely a nice alternative to other options on the market.

Thanks! I agree the font is not ugly to me, but I would not mind seeing it updated for a new coin release.
