What is the difference between IN-12 and IN-14?
Tube shape. The 12's are rounded rectangles and face forward while the 14's are tall and pointy. Just placed an order...cant wait to see these in person

The old system was better IMO... Obviously neither system is perfect, but the new setup allows way too many people into DT1 that clearly should not be there.

The rare green slabs...they only lasted for about 4 months. 2013 Casascius Brass Half [MS-68] + 2.5 Gram Gold Bar - Asking .6543210 BTC (12BqheYK) 2013 Casascius Brass Half [MS-68] + 2.5 Gram Gold Bar - Asking .6543210 BTC (12BY3md9)Free shipping in the USA. Not sure about mailing gold over seas, but if someone that isn't in the USA is interested I am willing to split shipping 50/50

Is it scratched up or is that just the case?

Let them redeem them to make he rest more scarce! Every time a coin gets peeled it makes me happy that mine become more rare.

If the collector community all decided to fund their Kialaras it would be a very good thing for the total value of the slabs. Over time, some percentage would be opened (and destroyed) to redeem the bitcoin, thus deceasing the total supply of Kialaras on the market, which obviously drives up their value. They could also function as a transferable bearer bond of sorts, a la OpenDime.
Has Max released the total numbers created for each type of Kialara bar?

|
|
Nope. Unless you make the keys there is no benefit to loading most items. Not that I wouldn't trust Max, but breaking those open would be a real pain and renders them worthless.

So what is the verdict on this new DT1 system? I looked through the current DT1 members and I am lost on how some of these guys are DT1. I am not complaining as I opted out of it and all, but am really curious if people feel things are better/worse/same etc...

I wonder if Casascius would create a coin for this? It would probably be worth at least asking him as he has created commerative coins in the past (St. Petersburg coins). Imagine how cool a forum coin made by Mike would be.

Bump! Please don't Merit my bumps Merit snob. You should try reverse psychology, and start begging for your bumps to be merited. When you try to tell stubborn peeps what to do, we frequently do the opposite (unless we think that you are employing reverse psychology, then we will do what you say). It seems to be a no win situation. It took a lot of personal restraint to not merit that post...

Bump: update complete!
(I don't want to delete the merited post above this one)
Good call

In the past week, 4 DT1-members have wiped their Trust list. This is probably caused by the drama that followed after theymos introduced Trust flags: Three of the four DT1 users who wiped their list are closely associated with Lauda, and likely did this to support lauda. minifrij has previously told me that he doesn't want to be in DT at all: reference. [...]I have no real interest in being a part of the DefaultTrust system, but I'm not going to put the energy in to remove myself from it. I have been DT1 for years and just do not want to deal with it anymore...too much drama. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5153678.msg51446619#msg51446619

Given that hes essentially just another member of DT
You are delusional to think that people see theymos as "just another member of DT" or that he would actually be just a member of DT. Agreed, Theymos is not a regular user at all. I decided to just remove my entire list and get removed from this whole DT disaster moving forward. The never ending drama of this stuff has gotten old and just ignoring it all makes life easier.

Or perhaps a Layer 2 board, for threads about Lightning, Liquid sidechain, Statechains and whatever else is coming. I like the Layer2 board idea...this should happen.
