“Special attention should be given to the international exchange of suspicious Bitcoin addresses that threaten economic stability.” Economic stability is bureaucratese for economic control."

Privacy and freedom are so much in danger these days.
Policy makers, regulators, politicians should work their way out and try to understand they are the main responsibles if we are in such a situation.
So good I've never given my data to any exchange. Mostly because I don't use exchanges.

Who sold at the bottom?

We are all a bunch of professional traders and investors on here. Tongue
I made a bunch of silly trades and eroded a bit of my profit Sad

I should honestly just HODL.  Pick the prices I am exiting at and stick to it.  My trades are about 90% bad looking at my track record.
It doesn't help that the exchange I use is has pretty bad liquidity.

I understand what you mean. I did that as well back in 2012/13 and I lost most of my bitcoins. But I had to learn the hard way and I am glad I lost them back then. Today I know so much more because I started studying and researching about BTC.
Don't despair and stop wasting your coins Wink

Ranieri fired? It's a bit of a surprise to me. It was about to happen at some point but hey, he did a miracle last year, he made history, something will stay forever in the logs. I mean come on, they could have wait after the game with Sevilla! They still have a chance to pass.
I don't get it.  Roll Eyes Either way, good luck Mr. Claudio.

Massive red candle live right now on finex.  Shocked Shocked Shocked Someone pushed the panic sell button. 3000+ changing hands on this exchange...
I couldn't have had a worse morning wake up

Why do you still care about FIAT money?

Don't you see we are reaching the point where it will make no sense at all to exchange our BTC for fiat?

See you all on the moon

Easy come, easy go: that means easy money will go away if not sustained by real hard work.
I personally think that David put his real hard work on this project and slowly this will pay off. He's recognized for his value and that's all we should care about.
3007  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 23, 2017, 07:46:56 AM
So I guess these Bitcoins are still a thing. That's good.  Smiley

I actually had somebody say almost exactly that in a bar recently. I was wearing a BTC baseball cap and someone asked if it was a Boston Bruins cap.

When I said no it's Bitcoin, he asked, "Oh, are Bitcoins still a thing?".

He seemed surprised when I told him they'd been worth over a thousand dollars each for a couple of months now.

Most people still don't have a clue. When you tell them about it, it either goes in one ear and out the other, or they forget almost immediately.

Bring them all to your funky Canadian ATMs, exchange some paper money and buy them a beer. Then they will never forget Grin unless you make them drunk.

Seriously guys, what is this silly fascination with Bitcoin's ATH?  Who cares?

You guys need to dream bigger, and more long term.  Roll Eyes  Wink

I second you on that, I don't care about any ATH. This is still very low for my standards Wink
3008  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Europa League/Champions League Lounge on: February 23, 2017, 07:34:21 AM
Studying a parlay for tonight Champions League games: Porto - Juventus is the one to watch. Bianconeri want to keep marching in Europe as they do in Italy, I don't see Porto stopping them. Sevilla might win against Leicester playing home.
The following is my bet:
Porto - Juventus Juventus
Sevilla - Leicester Sevilla

This is what one could think naturally, but what can say to me : Porto is at home and is showing great recent performances ; Leicester is not that bad in Champions League, and Sevilla showed not that good performances recently. For this, I can say that two draws can occur. But both Juventus and Sevilla remain favourite in my mind, this is just that I do not have a total confidence in them.
As you may have seen you were utterly wrong and I won that (easy) parlay. Sometimes is good to go small and win than to risk as you did and lose.
This was an easy 0.1btc profit.

By the way,, Juventus will have its say in Champions League. Mark my words

Updated without glitches and performed a full backup. This is what we needed as it was a bit of a hassle to perform a full backup before. Tonych did another good step forward. And the market reaction is only physiological
3010  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: February 22, 2017, 06:47:38 PM
I think the price will be around 0.02 by the next distribution
A wild guess? Any thoughts about that? Why it should be so low? Is it simply that you believe that with more gbytes in circulation there will be more available for newcomers?

Anyway the time is right for more exchanges to accept Gbyte. Trading can't rely solely on Slack, Transition Bot and Cryptox

7 green candles in a row on the 2 hour...

Even the daily is 9 out of 10.

Is this Gentlemen?

Can't stop watching it! While China peacefully sleeps (maybe) Europe and the US West Coast are having so much fun. I don't think this is over yet and as some others pointed out this might be an attempt to price in the ETF.

I repeat, this is not over yet, gentlemen
3013  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Official BitBay Thread |Smart Contracts Wallet UPDATE|Decentralized Marketplace on: February 22, 2017, 06:30:25 PM
Wow, yeah we are just learning about it.

No way to confirm anything yet for sure.

The most important thing to remember is that David has been trying to clear his name from the BitBay ICO thievery for over 2 years. All the while the founders that abandoned BitBay literally took the BTC and ran. Then they proceeded to slowly dump the stolen BitBay on the exchanges for over 2 years. Rather than revert the blockchain, the community decided it was best to leave the chain decentralized. We've been tracking their wallets for the last 2 years and finally believe they are out of coins, hence our recent increase in price.  However, the good news is that David has never given up hope that one day his name will eventually be cleared from the ICO scandal!
He is the sole coder for BitBay, which currently has the most advanced Client UI in crypto, yet the most undervalued coin on the market!

The truth will out eventually. I've already said that it's undeniable the true dedication that David put into this project. And sincerely hope the above will come to an end soon and that who did this will finally be judged for his action.

Bay goes on either way
3014  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Official BitBay Thread |Smart Contracts Wallet UPDATE|Decentralized Marketplace on: February 21, 2017, 07:18:31 AM
Two quick questions.

1. Who are bitbays competitors?
2. Does any altcoin have any type of ownership? It's just a token used to transfer funds. If bitbays technology was bought for some reason. The bitbays tokens wouldn't really change in value? Just thought technology is bought.

1. very few coins boosts such a robust coin with a decentralized marketplace built on top of it
2. Any cryptocurrency is based on possession of the corresponding keys: no keys no coins it is as simple as that. Bitbay is open source there's no hidden tech behind it, but Bay has one of the best dev around.

Do I answer you? Someone will chip in to tell you more

3016  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I have found a wallet with 40 BTC on: February 20, 2017, 06:45:15 PM
Hi,
i have found a wallet with 40 BTC.
The last transaction was 2011.
Can i take the money?
Or is it not legal?
Please Help!

Best Regards!

They say take the money and run. Bitcoin is identity agnostic: who (what) owns they key owns the bitcoins associated. I would not make such a big deal, you've been lucky enought to find those keys. Maybe share some with a charity... http://bitcoinforcharity.com/bitcoin-charity-list/

Look at that Chinese LocalBitcoins volume:

Chinese exchanges weren't fake after all, what a surprise!

wow, the chinese managed to invent zero fee trading on local bitcoins??!?  Cheesy

No way! Absolutely unbelievable! I think I was a bit wrong about my thoughts on China Volume after seeing this. Well, they create most of the new coins and surely they have to find new (old) ways to trade. Sure this is a good one.
3018  Economy / Speculation / Re: Sell or wait? on: February 20, 2017, 06:48:09 AM
We have the ETF on our way: like it or not that will affect the price very much. Do your own research before that time because it might affect ( for the good or the bad) our BTC holdings. IMHO selling today is a very bad move
3019  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-02-20]U.S. Senate Confirms Bitcoin Supporter Mick Mulvaney As Trump’s on: February 20, 2017, 06:28:44 AM
Quote
He and Jared Polis, a Colorado Democrat, launched the bipartisan Blockchain Caucus in September.

Other pro-bitcoin enthusiasts in the current administration include Peter Thiel, PayPal co-founder who served on Trump’s transition team, Balaji Srinivasan, 21.co-CEO and potential FDA director nominee, and Travis Kalanick, Uber CEO who joined Trump’s team of advisors.

Mulvaney steted that the Fed has “choked off economic growth”: that is a rather unusual statement if you ask me.
It seems are getting truly interesting in the States

1st the dump...after a bounce back not strong enough and maybe now the second wave..maybe we see 2nd bottom for today? who knows...fingers crossed!

Soooooo downward it is... lets hope we get level stable again soon. Question for the people who actually know about these things: where is the next support we're gonna hit if this keeps going?

oh wow, it is going down sooooooo much. i think it went down ALMOST ONE PERCENT in the last 24 hours. the end is near. crypto is dead.

seroiusly folks, what tf are you talking about?

I find the absurd bearishness around here to be very bullish.
I second your thoughts and I would like to add that considering the very small trading volume seen recently now the price seems in the hand of very few traders. With such a low volume small drops are not significant to me
