3002  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Periodical Cleaning of Antminers on: February 29, 2016, 04:45:12 PM
Well just thought I'd update this seeing as I started it.

Cleaned out the 2 S3's I've got with a small brush and a vacuum cleaner. Both intake sides of the heatsinks were pretty clogged up with dust, so were the gaps around the fan motors.

Just got them up and running and after a few minutes they are already running 2-3 degrees cooler and seem to run quieter too seeing as the fan speeds have dropped around 200rpm (so the gui says anyway).

Ill update again in a couple of days to see if the hashrate has been affected.

Hopefully we will get a drop in difficulty

Bitcoin Difficulty:   163,491,654,909
Estimated Next Difficulty:   158,205,408,409 (-3.23%)
Adjust time:   After 628 Blocks, About 4.5 days

That'll be nice.  Im getting fed up with these loooooong gaps between blocks. Although waking up to a double whammy this morning was nice.
3004  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Antminer's Power Outage / Payment on: February 29, 2016, 02:29:45 PM
Personally I'd switch pools as I chopped and changed my miners a couple of weeks ago and still got paid out even though they were offline for 10-20mins or so because it's based on your shifts.

What's your domestic power? 110v or 240v? Are the miners getting the right power?
3005  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Antminer's Power Outage / Payment on: February 29, 2016, 07:45:06 AM
Where abouts are you located? What's your general power supply rating? Also what pool are you with? The pools that I've used use the same system (pplns) but you don't lose a payment of your miners go down as it's based on the last ten shifts you've completed. It may drop the payment slightly but never stops it.

Bought another 0.1btc from Sardasa. Once again everything went smoothly.
3007  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: [WTT] I HAVE Bitcoin - I WANT PAYPAL on: February 28, 2016, 08:25:38 AM
I'll take 0.05 btc and pay $23 as an opening trade? I usually deal with sardasa via PayPal so if you need a reference see his thread. Never reversed a payment and never will. I just want to trade with people.

Thanks.

3012  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Bitminter bitcoin mining pool - Pays TxFees, Merged Mining, Fair PPLNS rewards on: February 26, 2016, 10:50:42 PM
Is there something wrong with the pool? Just logged in and saw an unusually high rejected rate  Undecided

Current shift does have a high reject ratio. Everything looks normal (to me) though, including latency communicating with servers. Could possibly be some part of the net lagging. I'll switch servers around a bit and see if it helps.

Ok no problem. I'm only a small fish in the pool but just pointing it out.  Wink

3019  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Im selling bitcoins for paypal on: February 25, 2016, 05:36:43 PM
I'll take the $20 you've got left via PayPal if you like? I usually deal with Sardasa but I'm trying to get positive feedback on my account from other members  Smiley
3020  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Looking to sell 7BTC on: February 25, 2016, 05:33:51 PM
I can take 0.1 via PayPal if that's ok? I know I'm not a "reputable member" quite yet but I've been dealing with "Sardasa" via PayPal for a while now if you need someone to ask if I can be trusted.

If not then no problem I'm just trying to get feedback on my account so I can deal easier and get that elusive green number  Smiley
