wow fascinating! I actually do not really like to count or to convert the price from bitcoin to my local currency, so it will assist me, really.

I am not really sure because the price did not heat $1000+ by the end of the year, and in the initial year, I do not think the price will be higher. so probably the price will be around $800-$950 on february. but if it hits more than $950, it will be better. |

I think buying drugs with bitcoin is a bad choice. bitcoin created for some benefit. such as ease of various financial transactions that we do. bitcoin use it wisely, use for something useful.
a few people take advantages from bitcoin's characteristic that is anonymously (even it is not exactly anonymous), to do something bad like buying drugs. but it is not a right deed. drugs itself is not a very useful thing unless in medic. so I myself never bought drugs with bitcoin or another currency. |

You can't really tell how many but you could just estimate. It's all about that like the human population, it's hard to say the actual number. You can't count your hair but you could estimate. It increases everyday for sure, some maybe just use it for business but not always being used.
true you can only make estimates or predictions of course, no way to calculate the exact total bitcoin users. but perhaps it estimates it could describe the number of users bitcoin that's right. we can use statistic theories to count, but the result will not be the exact number of people using bitcoin. besides there is a factor that makes the count cannot be measured exactly. if we count it based on wallet address, then there is a person who has some address right? so it would be difficult to count it exactly. |

when I hear word " virtual", my mental picture is something I cannot touch. I think it is what most people think about. but when I hear word "cryptocurrency", it sounds cool. my mental picture is a currency in another shape. so I prefer to use cryptocurrency.

I think you forgot one thing. even if someone has the best skill ever exists in this world, but when he/she does not have will in his heart, or he is to lazy to take benefit from his skill, then it would be useless anyway.
so, just add "will" or we can say kind of "motivation" to earn bitcoin.

I do not remember much what I have bought that I regret for. but I think I used my money (some months ago) to buy useless stuff like clothes and bag because I already have many of them enough.
I also used my money to fixed my laptop a few times. I think it would be better if I buy a new one.

Many wealthy people can live off the interest of the money they have in the bank,or other passive income, How high would Bitcoin price have to be for you to live off Bitcoin?
I would say 10bitcoin in price $950. it would be fulfill my daily needs in 5 years I think, as long as I live myself. and I will use it to start a business in order to get some profit I can save for my travelling in the next few years with my family. |

I hope there will be more people who use bitcoin in legal ways than those who use it in illegal ways, so people will not think that bitcoin users are criminal anymore. probably it will make higher adoption, and it will be more mainstream and higher price. Haha !! This thread was posted 2011 I hope those guys all listened because they would habe made 20x their money. Its crazy to think. It probably still true now. I think bitcoin will only go up and not Eben the sky is the limit ! Its not too late !! Just dont spend all your bitcoins at once  You might need them for later when the price sky rockets. OP's prediction is right, but it still does not hit $10,000. probably it can be true in the next years, just keep watching. those who keep holding their bitcoin from 5 years ago, even 3 or 2 years ago can be rich know because the price is high enough now. |

actually it is not about how easier it can be moved, but how easier I can earn it rather than fiat. the simplest way I mean is joining a signature campaign

My kids love bitcoin, they have had wallets for 3 years and have introduced the friends to the concept. They are all swapping bitcoin and exchanging things for it. It reminds me of the ted talk by andreas which i have posted below. It is not necessarily "taboo", just illogical. You are mixing two methods of payment, one reversible and the other one not. Especially when charging a 15% Markup.
No one in their right mind will pay almost $100 more for a bitcoin. This will only encourage scams.
I think it is right if OP uses " taboo" term because it means that the thing is not acceptable to do about. I think many bitcoin users do not agree to use bitcoin and paypal in the same time. imo well I never try the site first, but I think they have a system they think it is good enough. |

I think I find it difficult to look for stuff to buy that is near from my country or seller from my country because the ship cost should be more expensive than the stuff itself when it is sent from the other country. so I do not try to buy things there yet. |

On my state , Indonesia , still not implement that yet. But I'm waiting for it cause using bitcoin as the payment will speed up my transaction. that is right. we do not have any flight accepting bitcoin as payment yet here. I think it will take so long to wait until we can pay flight tickets for bitcoin. because it is not famous yet here. and there are so many people who do not know bitcoin |

I am always wondering this question. Of course from the computer science point of view, nothing is really random. You have a random function which may use system timestamp as a seed, or combination of mac address, computer architecture etc. So if I try to generate the bitcoin address using the similar conditions that Satoshi once had, maybe I can generate his address with a larger probability and may succeed one day, and get his lost treasure, lol. Though sounds not easy, but it is still possible, right?
I also wonder and in doubt about how random bitcoin address is. I think it should have a formula to create those addresses. well, I think you should find the formula first. but it should be related to how Satoshi's computer random an address. eve. if you find it, how do you assure yourself that it belongs to real satoshi? |

I am sure that one day will be better than bisane bittrex, yobix, and poloniex. I'm sure if the service of bitane improved, and make services for sale ico. I believe it will happen in the near future.
yeah, it has possible to happen as long as the developers work hard and develop the platform, fix the things should be fixed if it exists, add some new features, or in other words, provide what people need in an exchange. so just keep on eye on what people nowadays need. |
