I was in full control, but I lost $650 in thirteen rolls. If I'm not wrong, this is pure fate. Why I state it fate is due to the win I encountered. It all started with $5 worth of bitcoin, roll over 50.50 and thirteen continuous fail of roll. To compensate the loss I kept doubling, and at some point I lost control taking the bet value to $160. Here it is the fate that I need to loss.
Have anyone encountered similar losses. I'm truly fed with this loss, because my girlfriend wholeheartedly gave to try my luck. What it shows is I'm an unlucky fellow, and I have hidden it from her. Because, she feels bad that we're unlucky.
Learn from that. It's not always that you're lucky or if you've already felt the gut feel that there's no luck with you, you shouldn't pursue it anymore. With those little losses that you've started and if it keeps on coming and adding to the former losses, it will form to a bigger amount which will push you to recover and make you lose control. |

I can't remember anymore the exact year when I've first heard of bitcoin. Maybe that was 2013 or 2014 or even earlier.
And then I jumped to bitcoin and joined by 2016 but I think I've bought a small amount of bitcoin by 2015. Regardless of the years as long as it's in the past, those were good old days.
I can't imagine how far and great bitcoin is today and in the years to come.

With the 51% attack that happened on it, I think this bull run is waking up every coin that it can base on what the investors want to wake up. With the upcoming transition of ETH to POS and other updates.
I think ETC is getting livelier due to those miners that are seeing its profitability as they mine it.

Hacking incidents are real mostly if it's from the reputable platforms that are being affected. Well, the doubt really kicks in if it happens but they're legit hacks and exploitation.
The reasoning that it's just a hack could be used by not so popular exchanges as a gateway to their exit. It's becoming the exit scam and they're using it to scam their user's funds.

There are some people in Twitter that are complaining that the Ethereum code fork, the more centralized, Binance Smart Chain is currently having high fees in moments of high transaction volume. Plus there has to be some value to incentivize the authors of the blocks to keep everything in a closed loop and sustainable. Nothing can run for free. Few try to understand why Bitcoin works. What's happening to Ethereum might happen for those chains that have also been having network issues. At first, they're good as an alternative. But as the same as Ethereum when they get crowded and clogged, they'll also be experiencing the issue that have experienced by Ethereum and as well as bitcoin. |

Yes, you're right. It's always like that in that case. The whales would always turn back to btc after making some sweet profits. This is the time for those altcoins and the money is with them.
But after that, you know what's going to be next. Things will return to btc again.
Yes, within couple of months dogecoin's market cap reached 65 Billion USD and that's just unbelievable thing to happen to any altcoin in the history of crypto currency. It is literally a triplicate of what it had in the earlier days. With Elon's strategy of tweeting in between, the coin is gonna be pumped by public power with endless hopes! The dominance might be increasing because that's what Elon wanted to happen and who knows he just want to see or imagine the DOGE at #1 position? Dam if DOGE even hit 1 USD people will not sell this coin, they will buy more and more out of FOMO. Then there would be mentality that DOGE might be the next BTC so just buy and hope that DOGE would hit couple of 100's in years to come. So yeah, it's good to have some chunks of this coin in your wallet at all times. I think it's the opposite if ever Dogecoin will reach $1. There will be a lot that will be in FOMO but mostly, they're going to sell it and won't let it pass the opportunity of taking their profits. We'll just ignore those holders that will have that mentality who will think that it's next to BTC. It's a mistake for those holders that have seen it hitting up and won't take profit. |

Exchange hacks are always bad. If significant funds are stolen, exchanges will face with harmful losses and they will end up with two endings. - Compensation: Pay hacked-funds for customers, at once or gradually prospective.
- They often refund for customers prospectively with trading fees in the same time they earn from customers on their exchanges.
- They don't lose anything, simply sacrifice earnings in a few months whilst spend funds from their pockets to pay for staffs, operational, maintenance, security and other costs.
- They end with exchange shutdown or scam exit. If the hacked exchange is a new or small one, it will be most common ending.
It's a different case with hotbit as per reports that we've seen, it's about their database that has been taken by the hackers which are also vital. I think it will cost them more if those are the information by them and as well as their customers. If it's containing a huge database with verified customers of hotbit, then that's a big issue which shall give some trust issues against hotbit. And a simple reminder and not giving an egoed statement that everything is fine although it's not.
Database and personal identity documents can be sold and compromised in dark market. I often try to not submit my documents for KYC as much as I can. If I want to buy a coin, I will look at Market/ Exchange list, and choose the best exchange without KYC from the list. When I finish my accumulation, I withdraw all coins to my computer wallet. Just in case, hack occurs, data breach occurs, etc. I also choose not to pass KYC but if I've got no option but I trust the exchange, that's no problem to me but in this case, I wouldn't probably do it on hotbit and the same exchanges. |

Exactly, I don't think that the hackers will simply delete the database, perhaps they got a copy of it first and then deleted it later. Why they want to get a copy? simply because this criminals can sell this underground, KYC's and all of the stuff and they can used all those accounts to send email with crypto phishing. Win win for them. So stay tune, we might here in the next two weeks of crypto users getting lots of phishing email from this breach. Gas fee had dropped a lot unlike a few weeks ago. The standard fee is around 25 gwei which will validate an ethereum transaction within 5 minutes or even earlier.
It’s laughable, because despite Ethereum’s fast confirmation between blocks, and its miners deciding how large the blocks should be as limited by Gas, it’s fees still have become very expensive. I believe it’s a hard lesson that maintaining in blockchains, and for it to incentivize itself to work, there has to be “cost”. Yeah, I would agree with that. You need to analyze first how to trade.
My low price might not be low for you. My high price might not be high for you. You can start your trading on Binance with a small amount. And if I understand your question about knowing what happens.
When you buy when bitcoin falls, that's the good time to buy.
But when you buy when bitcoin rises, that might be also a good time for you to buy because another addition to its rise might happen. However, most likely buying during the rise or the peak is not the strategy of most.
Many are buying during the price lows of bitcoin but these times, it's difficult to know about it.

Research in a way that you need to know if the altcoin that you're investing is worth to take the risk. If the teams are very much familiar with the project that they're working and if they're working hard on it. There is no one that has been involved in any of scams before. Holding times depends on your goal, it could be for a week, a month or for years. |

The bitcoin forks, mostly they are. There are bunch of it.
And those that are pump and dump tokens that you can see from time to time being shilled on different groups. I'm starting to see another one which is being treated like Doge whilst on its early stage.
You'll see most of them on different swaps.
I made some cool money from BCH, the coin that many underrated simply because it's a bitcoin fork, few weeks back everyone starts saying it's over for BCH because it's not showing any bullish sign when BTC was surging but today things are different, 1000$ isn't hard for BCH, I'm not against any coins unless they are scammers projects, I'm ok with any project that can give me profits so how ever people feels about them is none of my business It's also like an airdrop for those early holders of bitcoin. But the price of it hasn't reached the ATH that it has made. $1k is a good price but it's not the only fork for bitcoin. There are many of them that really can be said as useless coins but if you get significant profit, you dump it. How much you've made with it? |

Never used hotbit but if they have that much affected users and the funds are safe, they should remind all of their users that they have to change password.
