3081  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is trading an occupation? on: April 04, 2021, 08:48:37 PM
Depends on who you ask, some people will say that it is an occupation and some people will say it is way too risky. I am in the middle, I think it could be a profession if you just work for someone else, and you may think "who would hire me to trade for them?" but that is the whole financial market. All those big banks and investment brokers are doing this in wall street, in fact that is the only reason wall street exists, people pay them to use their money to trade.

So yes, in fact trading is a job that you could do and you use others money and trade with it and if you do a great job more and more people will pay you to do the same thing and if you are horrible you would be fired. How you get involved? You study and become one of the best in finance at a top school and you get experience and get a great job and start working in the wall street world for it.
3082  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH is falling fast right now. At what point do you get out? on: April 04, 2021, 08:25:58 PM
Of course people will be scared, people are always scared, look at ETH right now at nearly 2.1k price, and it will definitely go higher up as well, there is no doubt in my mind. However one thing is for certain you can't stop people feeling scared, they will always be scared. OP was wrong, but he wasn't wrong to feel bad about the situation he was in, who likes going from nearly 2k to 1.5k? That is a bad fall and that scares everyone and it would scare me as well if I wasn't here for years.

First time I ever got bitcoin it was 150 dollars, it dropped to 100 dollars and I felt super scared, for me that was a lot of money because I was a kid at the time and that is why I think I got super scared. Nowadays bitcoin could become 5k in a month and I would be fine, ethereum could be 100 and I would be fine as long as it is there I know it will go back up.
3083  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: April 04, 2021, 08:14:04 PM
People are talking about how Nets played as a proof that they will be the best team in the league with these additions.
I have to say by that logic Suns is the second best team in the western conference, while Nets is second on the east, does that make sense to you?

Nobody talks about how Suns is second in the rankings at western conference and has the same amount of wins as Nets while having one less loss as well, do you think that makes Suns a better team than Nets? Nobody thinks that, we all know suns will not be nowhere this good when playoffs comes and they will not fight for a title at all, they will lose either first or second round. Which means Nets may not be as good as we all think, sure they are good with a lot of superstars but remember we called many teams superstar filled and they ended up losing as well, just because you have good players doesn't mean you will win.
3084  Economy / Gambling / Re: Duelbits.com | Instant BTC & ETH withdraws | Live games & Slots! | VIP | on: April 04, 2021, 07:44:16 PM
It is nice to see many people are excited to see more altcoins in duelbits, I hope it is not just a "hope" from you guys. Hopefully once duelbits add more altcoins, most of you (especially those who suggested it) will come to deposit and play. I know some people will come (back) for sure once more altcoins is added but I'm not really sure with the others to be honest.
I can talk for myself, I think I do play at each decent casino time to time, I do not like gambling on the same place for years that never made any sense to me, the longest I play in one place is about one month and usually even shorter than that, on average I can ge about 1 week and I do comeback to same places as well, so I play at place A then place B then place C so forth goes on then I go back to place A again later on. That is what I think will happen as well for here if they add altcoin. Wherever I am gambling when there is a new altcoin announcement I usually go check it.

I mean the cost of deposits and withdrawals are increasing a lot with the bitcoin price increasing which is why I like to check places that add coins that would be very cheap to move around and not have any cost to deposit or withdraw and if that happens here I will play for sure.
3085  Economy / Economics / Re: The President creates a "Ministery of Extraterrestrial Affairs" on: April 04, 2021, 06:29:26 PM
Politics is a weird thing. The insides of it is so filthy that no regular decent human ever becomes a "good" politician, or at least not someone who would get votes, normally "good" people can't even sustain in the political environment, and that is why they end up not having long careers there. There are of course few, but I do not care who you are, where you are from and who you like, the most probable outcome is the fact that if you voted for someone, there was a better person than your candidate that wasn't an option.

The result is people who are willing to do filthy stuff and get dirty end up at the top and those people are idiots, they became politicians because they were idiots who wanted a lot of money and power without actually working for it, just having that position would help them have both of it so they went with that. And that causes us to have these kinds of funny headlines.
3086  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: April 04, 2021, 05:47:37 PM
tickets for what? because there are a bunch of different types there. 5000 sounds more like lottery tickets because the Lambo game tickets are extremely rare and it doesn't give that many away even if you win it.
Yes, rhomelmabini is definitely referring to weekly lottery tickets. Every time you spin the wheel in WOF game, you have 1.3% chance to win 5000 weekly lottery tickets.
The maximum number of golden tickets you can get is 50 and the probability of winning that is only 0.0025%.

I mostly get that 33 satoshi one, the only other thing I have ever got was 33 rewards points so I did assumed it was easier than most others, but I never guessed it would be this common, I get it rarely so I assumed it was like easiest was 33 satoshi and then a bit harder was 33 reward points, didn't know it was this simple. I guess I am lucky from the satoshi side, or maybe unlucky I don't know which one I would prefer to be honest, but it is really weird to see it so commonly won when I got it only few times compared to tens of times I got 33 satoshi instead.

In any case, I think this is a good situation, sure it is very very unlikely that anyone will win that 15k rolex, I assume it will be won one day but it will be very very rare, but in any case having that is a great feeling, it is not about others like lottery it is all about your own luck so that's great.
3087  Economy / Speculation / Re: Despite six months of rising Bitcoin prices, Peter Brent says up to $ 50,000 cor on: April 04, 2021, 05:02:12 PM
Nobody can deny that bitcoin may have a drop of 50k in the future, that could happen, however most of the bitcoin bulls just do not think that it will happen now. For example if we are at 1250000 that's 1.25 million dollars, a 50k drop is normal right? Well, I am not saying the only 50k drop will happen when we reach that high, but I just think we will be a lot higher than the current price before we see that. Right now a 50k drop would put us under 10k, and I do not think that we will ever see under 20k ever again.

Some "financial experts" will keep talking about how bitcoin is bad, and they never end and they always keep talking bad about bitcoin, they were around when it was under 100 dollars, they were around when it was 10k dollars, and they are now around when it is 60k+ dollars as well, nothing really changes, they will keep saying the same when it is a million dollars as well.
3088  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: significance of different altcoilns on: April 04, 2021, 03:30:02 PM
trader might work on possession of knowledge and more to find ideas with the chance on investment as appealing different news and release from media and developer as followed with the chance on decision with the option for the order confirmation by the market.
On the contrary, I will say never trust any news and articles because they are just paid to shill for some coins. Yes, there are some who actually write the truth but the percentage of such articles is really low and I would rather analyze and invest based on my understanding than investing/trading a coin because someone else recommends it.

Marketcap: If you are investing in any coin, it takes a few seconds to check their market cap on CMC which tells you how much it is being traded and what is the market volume cap right now. The bigger the cap, the more is the confidence in the coin while investing.
Honestly I never believe into marketcap number because in my opinion it is highly a manipulated thing but unfortunately most of the crypto investors are believing into these numbers as their primary criteria while choosing a coin for their investment/trading purposes. Overall, I must say we are all misguided with wrong criteria tools for selecting coins. Your other 2 points are perfect and I agree with them.
3089  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best place to invest, earn and predict among new projects???? on: April 04, 2021, 12:01:27 PM
So guys after these few months how many of the projects on the list survived? Smiley
Haha! Some did well while some didn't do as expected but there was no list which we can tally, you certainly did well Smiley and congrats on that.

We on the contrary, just launched a new feature which is getting popular (https://www.newsbtc.com/press-releases/as-exchange-launches-peer-to-peer-trading-of-spot-bitcoin-with-zero-trading-and-network-fees/). Now you can trade on as.exchange Bitcoin P2P with 0% fees, and we compensate your BTC network fees (https://as.exchange/BitcoinZeroFee). How many other projects you know able to do that? Wink
That's really amazing and zero fees is surely one of the first times I have heard for a P2P platform. I hope you can keep it like that for longer period though, do it doesn't look like a promotion.

That being said, from what I understand, you are an exchange while we are discussing what are the best possible options for investing (coins/tokens) so I mean yes you are doing great, but if I am not wrong you don't have a token of your own, right? Or if you have it please mention Smiley

You bumped a little old thread by the way, but I don't mind because you gave some really good information and I might use the 0% P2P myself in near future.
3090  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: April 04, 2021, 10:48:23 AM
<snip>
I have more trust in a site that requests KYC information when a player registers his account and before the first deposit is made, than a casino that asks for private details when it's time to withdraw money.

How many crypto-related casinos will do that these days? How gambler want that or will play on such casino? Things have changed and the only thing that doesn't change is that casino follows the rules and regulations of their game provider and master license holder.
<snip>
There are a lot actually. And it depends on the country that the casino were registered. I know one on our country that does this, I guess it is to follow the law and to avoid future lawsuits to casino. They needed to know who their costumers are, probably to fight/cought money laundering and other related illegal issues.
I do not think that there are a lot of casinos that requires KYC, I never faced one that required it upfront, only if there is a problem. I have been gambling for about 8 years now on crypto, I was here when it was just satoshidice and you could play it on blockchain.info and nowhere else and I remember when primedice and just-dice first started, so basically I doubt that there is anyone who can remember further back since that's the start anyway which means I was here from day 1.

And I can tell you that there is really no reason why any of this should happen upfront, places sometimes end up asking for KYC and I never really liked that but at least that's when there is a problem, not when everything is going smooth without a problem, you can't ask it upfront. Hopefully roobet will stay at "no-kyc" zone in the future because with KYC requirement, I am out.
3091  Economy / Gambling / Re: Chips.gg |🎰 100k Event | Daily New Slots | on: April 04, 2021, 06:48:25 AM
Honestly after some time when you end up betting on slots for days and days and days (which is where I am at right now) it becomes more possible to hit big things. I remember clearly going from 3k to nearly zero and winning 1.5k on a 12 dollar bet as well. Like I ended up losing sooo much, but then recovered it with one bet. Those kinds of things happen and I still get shocked. It is about how many times you gamble, it is not impossible to believe because it is really about odds and if you gamble a lot that means the odds of you winning something huge increases, it eventually happens and you get lucky.

I once made 900 dollar win from 60 dollar bet on my first ever try on a slot machine, first ever bet there, and I assumed I found my lucky charm, played there for 2 days and lost it all back Cheesy So those kinds of stuff do happen, not frequent but if you keep playing it eventually happens.
3092  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲BetFury.io|⚡️Free BTC+BNB every20min|⚡️$3.5 mln Staking pool|⚡️$100K BFG event on: April 04, 2021, 05:20:45 AM
As always, the future will bring a lot of fun for all Betfury players... of course, some will win, some will lose, but that's gambling! Smiley

Betfury started with TRX only! And just look where they are now with so many coins they accept! Why hurry with so many new coins? They will add new coins from time to time, and high chances every new listing will have some promotion, like until now! As a site, they are growing fast, and I don't see any reasons for that growth to stop!
I think it is obvious that we are not going to see something shocking from the results. Nobody will be super wealthy, and unless they go way too overboard nobody will be broke because of it neither. I mean wealthy is guaranteed because I doubt people would do something that is not going to be like 1000+ bitcoin bets, and those TRX days were fun too.

I think casinos are a place where you could break even if you know how to gamble, I have been around casinos for nearly 7 years now and I can tell you that if you know what you are doing, you do not lose much money and you do not earn too much money neither, both of those radical ends require a lot of luck.

This is why I believe betfury will be here for a long time and we are going to end up playing here for a very long time as well and I doubt that we will end up with anything too radical on average (except few people).
3093  Economy / Economics / Re: Miners Hodling Rates Increases. on: April 04, 2021, 03:15:05 AM
in my opinion and a bad thing, when the miners decide to sell their reserves of bitcoin, which i imagine there are many there will certainly be a bad dump of btc on the market
Yes, but if they continuously sell it will still create a dump although regular and slower as compared to selling in chunks. I think miners have the right to sell when they want and no one should have a problem. Lesser mining dumps also mean that there is a scarcity of BTC which means higher the price. It is a really tricky situation, the longer they hold the better price we have for our coins as well but then at some point they will dump which is always the worry in the back of the mind.

It's a natural movement at the moment and I'm not worried if miners unload some ammos for sustuaning their businesses in the future. Don't forget that mining is a very complex business which involves a huge money and risk management to stay competitive as the hashrate grows so crazily.
I don't see this as a problem, really.
Also, there are so many miners and not everyone is holding so there is always some supply being thrown into the market which keeps things stable and with more and more investors and traders coming into the market, ultimately it won't matter too much about the miners holding coins.
3094  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀 Sportsbet.io - New Community Chat feature on site now!! 🚀 on: April 03, 2021, 08:00:51 PM
I think this is going to get super fun with leagues coming back. It is going to have an impact on premier league obviously but it's not going to have just impact on premier league, it is going to have one in every single league.

I think players who played in their national leagues will have an advantage because they will come both prepared and maybe a bit more tired but at least have a good condition whereas players who weren't there only had practices maybe but that's about it, that's why I think it's going to be a big deal when those players comeback, aside from those who played in teams that ended up losing most of their games in which case it will not be easy of course.

I can't really stress enough how great this will be because even though there were a few games in those national games period, it's nothing even close to what leagues would be providing us, 50+ games a week across so many leagues.
3095  Economy / Economics / Re: A Decentralized Roadmap To Compete With Elon Musk/Tesla: The Open Source Car on: April 03, 2021, 03:32:06 PM
I believe for real that Tesla should keep every single thing in hiding. However if I am not wrong SpaceX has all their info public so that others could take a look at it and improve on it if they want to, just like the idea here, just for spacex and not for tesla and that is the difference.

I know for sure that tesla would have been able to do that as well if other car manufacturers wouldn't steal it, but that is the difference, if spacex info is stolen and it was given to people, the outcome would be having a lot better ships that can go to mars and that is acceptable, but the reality is that if we have car manufacturers stealing from tesla that is not going to be fine, that is not going to be ok, and that is what Tesla and Elon would be worried about, stealing the info and making profit from it is not going to be something that anyone would be fine with.
3096  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔥Sportbook and Casino: BITSLER > $10,000 DAILY Wagering contest < on: April 03, 2021, 09:09:02 AM
So for players who is okay in doing KYC with Bitsler: aside from the hassle, and having to trust bitsler with some personal information, it would be an advantage if you would like to be sure that the games you played are legal for you, thus you wont be a victim of casinos not giving wins especially "BIG WINS" to players just because they can argue about the legality of playing a certain game.

-So imagine you win 100 BTC on a game by 3rd-Party provider, and you find that your winnings are forfeited because you shouldn't be playing that game in the first place.
-For me that would be a real disappointment.
-Better be safe than sorry. Cheesy
You know what's the problem with that? The fact is that, bitsler could have faced with a "must" situation if they are asking for it, and that could be true, maybe providers wanted it, maybe something else, maybe government personally sent them a mail, doesn't matter why but they may end up being forced to ask for it.

However that doesn't matter to gamblers like me, I do not care what happened to them, I do not care what's the reason for it, the fact is that they are asking for it and there are other places not asking for it, that's good enough reason to not play here and gamble somewhere else. That's the problem bitsler facing right now, no matter how reasonable their reason could be, it's still fact that they are asking for it and other places are not asking for it, and that makes things complicated for them.
3097  Economy / Gambling / Re: Chips.gg |🎰 100k Event | Daily New Slots | on: April 02, 2021, 04:31:48 PM
I really do not think that slot games should be picked depending on something one person likes, it should be something that everyone likes for themselves. So if I think one is better, that doesn't mean you should play there too, I like this one and you could like the other one and that's how the slot games are picked.

Why do you think there are maybe a million different versions of the same slot, I mean all we do could have been just one regular slot old fashioned system and just make it work, nobody could have done anything else, and that would be alright if we all played it, but there are so many different versions of it and so many different graphics as well. Why? Because everyone picks a different one that they enjoy and that is how it should be, that is why there are so many options, if we all played on the same one then why would there be more options.
3098  Economy / Economics / Re: U.S. rent has increased 175% faster than household income over past 20 years on: April 02, 2021, 02:56:32 PM
Renting and buying a house will change a lot in a few generations for sure. Older generations had the chance to buy any house they want, because they were doing something that wouldn't really cost them a lot, my father once bought a house 20 years ago for the price of my current salary, and I am not joking. Sure inflation plays a big role in house prices who can deny that, but it shouldn't be THIS much, one salary worth for a house 20 years ago, that's not crazy to think about. And at the end of the day today that house worths maybe 10 years of my salary, more like 8 or so but still quite a lot.

It means we should not be looking into these kinds of things from younger generation, because younger generation do not have that kind of money and we can't keep buying houses. This results with us renting, and the more we rent the less available houses for rent and that increases the price.
3099  Economy / Economics / Re: I'm afraid of the crypto craze in Korea. on: April 02, 2021, 08:55:18 AM
I don't quite get it. Rich and poor theory never works because let's be honest, Bitcoin was not made to make the poor richer or vice versa, it was simply designed to bring freedom into the markets and remove trust from the trades. And as far as speculation goes, everyone invests into bitcoins because they have some expectations from the investment obviously.

I mean if you are looking at the value of Bitcoin through sheer use of "real-life use" then actually it is not as much and frankly, I would still prefer my credit card over Bitcoins when shopping or making any transfers because it is cheaper and way faster. Bitcoin's value comes from speculation of the demand and supply in the market.

I think Korea is no different than others because anyone who invests in bitcoins will look to cash at some point and will speculate.
3100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BNB still undervalue on: April 01, 2021, 04:15:46 AM
People are still thinking it is not really centralized in the sense that Binance can't print more whenever they want, or they can't make a rollback whenever they want, sure they could add it to other things if they want to, but it all depends on us you know that right? Like if bnb users hate a new feature they could ignore it and not use it and Binance has nothing else than just accept it and move on.

I would have to say it is not really a "copy" of ethereum, it has its own blockchain that's true but it is nearly getting to ethereum levels already and even have more volume in swaps and the cost of bsc transactions are like 20-90 cents which is why it has a huge advantage.  But, everything they do so far is awesome so we take it and use it. Look at eth 2.0 situation, does that make eth centralized? Of course not, same way why BNB is not as centralized as you think.
