bitcoin's future is more than bright. this fake satoshi announcement doesn't even sound real. so why do you even mention that satoshi has talked about it....
there might be a short time of panic by people, but that might only be if certain things don't go right at the first moment. we don't know that, but it is also possible that it doesn't even have a slight impact on the price.

bitcoin definitely has the potential to become one of the better alternatives for storing and transferring wealth. and all that without the need for a third party.
i don't think this is really satoshi. this smells more like some one is trying to trigger panic sellers to sell. it is a failed attempt. people are wise enough to see that this isn't real.

Since this thread has been opened(created) it has been passed 13 days. Around 2 weeks and the bitcoin has changed it price time by time. But at the end of these 2 weeks it is still the same ~280$
Within the range $240-$300. from my point of view the range is more like $250-$299 definitely not below $250 as that would make us lose precious ground.

Just keep collecting your coins. I think that next spike will be near the time of halving in July 2016. Till then, I don't think that any spike can take place.
that's the thing. people don't have the patience to wait for the block halving to take place. they want profit right now, and not next year.
don't think we'll see the price being stable above the $300 level this year. selling pressure is too high. i think in 2016 when we near the block halving we will start to go over $300 maybe to $400 but that's at most.
to me it does matter as we invest money to get a financial gain, and not to lose money. the coins i get from sig campaign are different, in this case i don't care about the price as i am holding them for quite a while.

For me it's being decentralized and not issued by any central authority. I think that's what makes it special ultimately. There's been nothing like it before.
it's amazing to have a bank in our pockets and finally own our fiat that we all store in banks. we have got this power thanks to satoshi. in these times people around the world can make the difference by using bitcoin.
the main advantages are very low fees and no chargebacks. most of the merchants do get their sales directly converted into fiat, which means no worries about volatility.

Well, I think I'm going on the good way; 17 days later my wallet grows faster than my first time gaining satoshis for free ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) I'm close to raise 0'1 BTC on my new wallet (around 1M satoshis left), and probably that will be made in less than month. I have to THANK YOU all for your suggestions, because what I've done is clausure completely my other wallet and nothing is entering or outing there. All what I've done has been from zero and results are really good and with future. I will continue doing that, for sure ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) P.D. I NEVER bought a satoshi, all earnings have been for free, by using my skills for work too. earning it by doing work is what bitcoin is perfectly designed for. we need more people like you accepting bitcoin for their services. that's how they help the bitcoin eco system. good luck man!

I trust price will stable at 350 and above ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) at some point it surely will. only don't think it will happen this year unfortunately. the block halving will definitely give bitcoin a price boost in 2016.

Unfortunately I think this is going to be the future trend for bitcoin in the USA.
Personally don't think it is going to stop with just the USA. Wait until the banks/countries start creating their own coins like in Ecuador. The moment they do they will either try and ban bitcoin and or will bring in even more regulations and through that essentially shut it down. No government wants a currency and or payment system over which they do not have full control. could be, but at this point it only shows how much they fear bitcoin, which is a good thing as they take it seriously. they just need to stop fighting against it. bitcoin and its network can be used to do so much good, but that's what they don't see or don't want to see.

This is the most important sign of the "importance" of bitcoin in our days. People don't want more fiat money but bitcoin. Even the evildoers. Remain the questions: for what he wanted bitcoin and not fiat money. Maybe to save that bitcoins with the hope of the increased price of it compare to the fiat money and then with that money pay the college of the son....
he just needs to create a bitcoin address which takes less than a second with just one click, and then he only has to wait till they send him the desired amount. it leaves no trails or whatever that might point into his real life information. easy.

First time i random found about bitcoin. I remember that I can register on forum and got 1btc. But i didnt register because I didnt know what is bitcoin. Second time I found about bitcoin on news idk what news. And its price was 1btc=1000$ and yea... And later i read all about bitcoins and started with faucets, ponzis(get scammed some times) than dices etc.
these are the things that make you angry, back in time the faucet gave 2 bitcoin to a captcha, we need a time machine ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) we surely need a time machine. if you compare the 2btc payouts back then, to now being just 1000 satoshi's, it only shows how much more mature bitcoin has become.

for sending money i only use bitcoin while i used to use paypal and western union. i hope to replace other services as well if there is a good alternative.
as far as the price goes, i think lots of people have to lower their expectations. my guess for the price in 2020 will be around $1500 per coin, which sounds quite reasonable.
of course it will rise to over $300 again. just have patience and don't expect peaks and rallies once or twice a month. these times are over.

I agree in a thin market the heat can get intense real quick, in both directions that is. But after 6 years of drama I think most of us will be a bit more careful which could negate this effect.
for once i do agree with what you say. people should always be careful when there is money involved. especially with bitcoin as it is still very volatile.
i would want to know that as well. if we all knew when to buy, then there wouldn't be a market anymore. make sure you buy now and have patience.
