3161  Economy / Economics / Re: Can a Stock Market Crash affect Bitcoin? on: August 17, 2019, 07:02:09 AM
I think it used to affect because people who were sick of market crashes in stock market moved to bitcoin but that doesn't seem to be the case anymore. People who are willing to move to bitcoin or crypto in general already moved and the people who are sick of market crashes but still don't move to bitcoin is not that much in numbers anymore, what would happen already happened and now it is just few that doesn't make that much difference.

Remember there are trillions in big investment companies but all of that is consisting of people with a bit of money coming together and giving their money to those people, there are people with less than 20 thousand dollars investing into those places, those people already moved to bitcoin if they were inclined and now only the few major players left which I assume won't since they haven't already.
3162  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price On Way To $250,000 By Q1 2023: Tim Draper on: August 14, 2019, 02:03:03 PM
Please let him be right Cry
In 2014 he predicted $10,000 in 2017, he was right.
You think so because he is a public figure, I do not know why we always hold these people’s world like that have one magical thinking sense that they use to see the future, whatever analysis they do is not far difference from what you and I do also, so before we conclude that they are true about something, we have to take that report also and then analysis it first, he could have predicted the 10K for 2017 and anyone could have also predicted it then but not seen because they are not pubic figure like him,
If he was completely accurate, why did he not see that bitcoin was going to actually hit $20k, and why did he not also warn people that after hitting $20k, it would decline, they just predict to create fomo for their own interest. Well, I believe that bitcoin by 2023 would have a realistic value of $50k but not that $250.
3163  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: August 14, 2019, 01:44:20 PM
Kobe demanded to be traded to Lakers because he was a Laker even before he was in Lakers, that is not the same as demanding trading someone to your team.

Let's compare what we are talking about here, Kobe wanted good team mates and demanded to be traded to some other team if Lakers couldn't build around him and never really did it even when he was playing with Smush Parker and Luke Walton, Kwame brown and so forth that was his team and he never left for 20 years even tho he said he would plenty of times, whereas Lebron literally got his agent to represent AD in order to persuade him to come play with him and got Lakers get rid of all the promising future players on their team for AD just because he wanted him to play there with him whereas Harden literally got rid of a top 20 of all time scoring guy from BENCH just to have more shots to shoot for himself instead of sharing with others. Those three things are not same at all.
3164  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Breaks $12,000 Before Plunging, Crypto Markets Turn Downward on: August 13, 2019, 07:03:26 PM
Market has been on the downturn for a long time if you do not look at bitcoin prices.
People assume crypto is just bitcoin but its not and if you look at the past 5 months only thing that has been consistently going up is bitcoin.

It is great that at least bitcoin goes up, its better than everything going down, I would rather get bitcoin going up and all others going down over the possibility of everything including bitcoin going down.

However, just because bitcoin is up doesn't mean the market is doing well, its not, the total marketcap is not moving too much high and even going down on the days altcoins fall which means the total crypto market is on a downturn for the past year and a half. I hope we can switch that soon and realize that we need altcoins to go up to say crypto market is doing fine.
3165  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Binance Hackers Bombard Chipmixer to Launder at Least 4,836 BTC on: August 13, 2019, 05:53:37 PM
Well, it is a good news and also a bad new, bad news in the sense that it would now be difficult for people to trust this chip mixer to convert their unanimous transaction into a private one which is its main purpose because I wonder how they could easily detect that it was hacked through chip mixer, and the good news about it is that gradually are getting to that stage where hackers can be detected easily, of them to have even known that this is what was used to launder such amount of btc from Binance.

I wonder why chip mixer too would allow such transaction to take place within their services without investigating, if the close chip mixer now, that would be sad news and at the same time bring regulation to the cryptocurrency industry.
3166  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Understand this - Bitcoin is not a commodity it is a working product on: August 13, 2019, 05:07:23 PM
You can preach all this from now till eternity, people would still be more interested in the financial breakthrough part of it and if you were to be sincere to yourself also, you will agree with me that it was what first attracted you to cryptocurrency also, abut with time, you saw and understand better the useful of crypto which you are no using now.

In my church, they usually say that allow the worldly people to comes as they are, even if they are not dresses rightly, we will change them and their mentality, same as what we should do now, if having that mentality temporary is what will bring them to the cryptocurrency community, then we should welcome them, from here, we will hem make them understand the real reason why crypto was created and encourage them to use it.
3167  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What your family thinks about that you into crypto on: August 13, 2019, 03:19:33 PM
If they are not buying into the idea, then leave them, you just hold on to what you believe and take it strong, when the time comes, they will see if with their own eyes when they see you driving that car of your dream and then having that house of your dream also. In as much as we want cryptocurrency to grow to every part of the world, we will still have many people that will reject it because of lack of understanding, except maybe it is being imposed on them by regulations or by law.

Let’s just keep creating the awareness as much as we can for those who would believe it and also have need for its usage, because not still everyone will use it as payment system because of lack of technology understanding also. In my own family, only the younger ones is interested and the elderly ones there are zero.
3168  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: August 13, 2019, 02:31:20 PM
Kobe was never really interested in who Lakers were getting at all, Harden and Lebron has been doing that for a while now, hell Lebron actually made sure his friends that he wanted to play with got huge contracts as well and he managed to make that happen too whereas if you look at Kobe dude played with likes of Smush Parker and Kwame brown because those were the people given to him.

Even during Pau Gasol and Lamar Odom era he became good friends with those players AFTER they were traded to Lakers, he never showed any indication that he wants them to be traded to Lakers or made any moves about it. Kobe just wanted to play and beat everyone on his way, nothing else, he was a killer who didn't care about who he had in the team and who he wants to kick out, dude would have kicked half of the roster if he wanted to get rid of bad players.
3169  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I've lost on: August 13, 2019, 08:41:13 AM
Move on, try to learn from your mistakes and try to recover it by trading again and not with the gambling since I can sense you aren't that type of an expert gambler.

Only with move on you can survive from your losses, and you will learn something from the mistake. Never mind if you cannot become an expert gambler, because you will become a success other things as long as you want to try.

Losing in the gambling game was normal, but the problem is, can we learn from the loss so we can stand up for the other day? Many gamblers cannot accept they're lost, and they still gambling on the other day because they want to get their money back. That will not be possible because we can get another loss in the future if we don't realize it.
I am very sure this particular OP has learnt , once you see a gambler that is able to share his lost story be rest assured that that particular player has learnt the hard way and would never repeat the mistake again if opportune to play again. I knew this from my experience, just like the OP, I lost literally everything I ever saved for all my life, I thought that would be the end of my life but thank God for friends and families that helped me to get back on my feet. I at first ran away from gambling and everything that relates to it. But I noticed I wasn’t completely healed, but suddenly I knew it all gone and I started to talk about my experience.

Today I am back to gambling and I have learnt never to think of recovering a loss. That mistake was terrible and I don’t ever want to see myself in that position anymore.
3170  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Things That Comes Into Your Mind When Winning... on: August 13, 2019, 07:15:09 AM
"The Things That Comes Into Your Mind When Winning..." - hope if I win big, this would be recorded anywhere and I don't have to pay a winning tax  Grin
You are not alone mate. This is exactly what runs through my mind. I never Have fear that ill loosing or not winning, I only wish to win a good some of money because it can sometimes be annoying how we win very little meanwhile we had planned big on the money, lol.

I promised my girlfriend on my last bet that I would by her on vacation because I really hoped for big money but at the end what I won that day could not even take us on a one day outing. I felt disappointed but I have learnt not to make promises based on what I expect to win, instead, I hope to win big so that I can carry out the plans I have for the money.
3171  Economy / Economics / Re: Binance Swirled into ‘KYC Leak’ Turmoil, Binance not Safu Anymore on: August 13, 2019, 06:33:14 AM
So what's the update of their investigation?

We have different sentiment in the space, some believes that the news is true, some KYC information has been leaked and that should be the job of the Binance exchange to keep it safe and private, we as users of the site entrusted them our info but if we mess with us, they should be wary of their future.
If they have a way of killing the news, they would do it, but I doubt if it is really true or a serious matter, maybe someone was just trying to create news that will make the value of their coin go down so as to be able to accumulate much of the coin that is fast growing. I believe that Binance will not make that mistake again of letting their system to be loosed again for hackers to hack in after what happened to them the last time which I believe that they have still not overcome yet.

To lose $41 million dollars is not a child’s place and playing with people’s data could seriously land them in a bigger debt like Facebook is paying dearly right now for the one they still have as case with the federal government, and I think that they will be paying 5 billion for that one.
3172  Economy / Economics / Re: The Risks and Rewards of Cryptocurrencies on: August 12, 2019, 07:44:59 PM
Risk and rewards of cryptocurrency is sometimes difficult to measure. Investing in crypto is really take a high risk but the rewards is based on what coins we invest because it depends on the value of it. Even if it is risky if the rewards is higher then it will be good. Sometimes the rewards is also base on the hgher risk we put on cryptocurrency.
Can not guess because we are talking about the price of cryptocurrency which will later increase to what price point we can not know the price will continue to move up to what price.
this is where trust is needed in what we invest. after analyzing the belief that later will provide benefits. calculation of risk and rewards for each person must be different, depending on his courage to disturb the worst that might happen. in investment let alone cryptocurrency, there is no exact science, all based on the view of an opportunity
Before trust can come into play in every investment that we make, we must also ensure that we do our own due diligence in the project we invest in, not that we invest in project randomly and then pick scam project and trusting that it will make any difference in our life, we will just keep trusting for the rest of our lives without having any result.

We must first ensure that the project we pick has something meaningful to offer, and that which the team and developers are respectable people, if we can get this out of a project, then we can now base our trust in the project since they are just starting. Good to trust and have confidence in projects, but must be done with great wisdom also because wisdom is really a profitable one to direct when it comes to cryptocurrency investment.
3173  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin Dice - why do you play in a particular casino? on: August 12, 2019, 02:26:31 PM
Hello,

What are the factors that make you play in a particular casino? What are the most important things for you?

There's a lot of Dice sites out there; I was wondering recently what makes some of them much more successful than the others. What are your thoughts on that?

I'll go for promotion and zero complaints when the Dice game is well promoted, people can be sure that the site is making money because you need a big amount of money for promotion, and if the Dice game has zero complaints, then we can easily tell that they offer great service to gamblers.
Do you think there can ever be a site with zero complains? I think its impossible because I have seen very organized and reputable sites have with different kind of complains. When dealing with humans, you can be rest assured that you cannot satisfy everyone. There will always be that one person that is not cool with the services you render so they come to complain.

Its not a bad thing to consider what people are saying about a site but to say no complain at all is one thing I consider impossible. The best is to compare and see that the positive reviews are more than the negative because definitely there would always be a negative review on every site.
3174  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling as a profession: there's people who live out of gambling? on: August 12, 2019, 04:33:24 AM
There are professional gamblers, that's what I know. But I am not sure if they are living solely out of their gambling prizes. For sure, even the professionals lose. And as far as I can observe, those who are gambling with high bets have stable sources of huge income. They can spend all their days gambling because they can fully support it. If you are living only on your gambling wins, I doubt if you can sustain your life as a professional gambler. The tide is not always on your side, after all.
Your statement is contradicting mate, if you believe in the existence of professional gamblers, then you should know better that their income is basically from gambling alone, this is the reason they are called professional gamblers. For example, when people ask what for your profession, the first thing that would come to your mind is where your money comes from.

I don’t believe there is anything like professional gambling, those who are making money in gambling are not professional gamblers, they get money from other sources not necessarily from gambling alone. Gambling is unpredictable and no gambler can boast of a stable income from gambling, that means no one can be regarded as a professional gambler.
3175  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling habits that will cost you on: August 11, 2019, 06:48:01 PM
It's a really good list. I don't know about nr 1 but if you say that it's a trap I won't argue. The rest could be put under one short headline: don't be irresponsible. Gambling when drunk or with borrowed money or in anger is not a good idea. No responsible person will do it.

I hope some of the newbies who come here thinking of becoming rich will read your points and learn something.
Simply put that the number of irresponsible gambler are more than those that are responsible. Lol. I know they will not like to hear this but frankly borrowing money is one of the characteristics of some of the self-acclaimed professional gamblers we have around especially on Bitcoin forum. I have seen and read news of how people borrow huge money with confidence that they can meet up and it is really crazy. Once they end up losing they start ranting that the house edge never favored them and all sorts. That’s crazy really.

I see on so many sites where it is written never gamble what you cannot afford to loses, and some do not only gamble their spare, they still go ahead to borrow, and this is the most destructive habit that can cost player a lot to recover.
3176  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are the best gambling games originally from Asia? on: August 11, 2019, 06:01:29 PM
there's a lots of well known businessman and celebrities like Manny Pacquiao who once being involved from this gambling activities, raising Cocks and make sure that it will be extraordinary before letting it to fight, certain gamblers take a lots of time making sure that the cock will have enough vitamins and in a good health condition  before allowing it to fight and bet with a huge amount of money, this gambling activities is very popular from asia lots of people are taking part of this.
In as much I have come to the reality that this is one of Asians favorite games, it’s still kind of strange to me. Like how can a man buy, and breed cocks to use them for gambling, it’s just somehow to me really. In my country, we treat and respect animals the same way as humans, so to me, it looks that that animal is being maltreated.

Gambling is for fun and we can also make money while having fun but my question is this. What fun can we get from animals fighting themselves, that’s abuse, I feel they only use them for money and its not acceptable at all. There are so many interesting and better games out there and I expect this crap to be scrapped, sometimes I wonder how it has existed for years and also seen as a tradition.
3177  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anyone here have some strategy to gain money, but with low profits daily? on: August 11, 2019, 05:30:21 PM
It is clear no one here makes even tiny profit on daily basis. They are probably very few if they atall exist. But it is possible that many are making regular/consistent profits which is not necessarily a daily profit
It’s not even possible for ANYONE TO MAKE DAILY PROFITS FROM GAMBLING. This is my 8 year gambling I can say that I have not seen or met anyone who has boasted of making money daily, if there is, I am sure the player is only trying to deceive others, gambling is not some place one can be confident to make money on regular bases  regardless the strategy applied because of the nature.

I believe the number of gamblers would be more than it is now if there was a strategy like this that assures players of making money daily, because virtually every player is doing it for money even though they understand it might take a while, so you can now imagine when there is an assurance for daily pay lol.
3178  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Things That Comes Into Your Mind When Winning... on: August 11, 2019, 04:55:27 PM
I agree that whenever you are talking about gambling stories, it's always what you are saying, what you experience, and what you are going to do with the winning amount in gambling, etc. It has ever been discussed in different ways, especially in the gambling discussion part. So I agree to review what comes into the mind when you win.

For me, I don't think anything comes into my mind when I win, and I know what I'm feeling, happiness. It's not a matter of what I thought about because it doesn't affect the chances I could have to win that corresponding round. Maybe in a series of poker or blackjack where you think you are counting cards, that could be the mindset or what's on my mind on that time but nothing, it's all feelings for me. After a few wins, then there comes a thought of greediness, what I'm going to buy with the money that I got.

Basically, to sum it up. No thoughts with one win, continuous winnings, what I can do with the money. Feelings of excitement and greediness, nothing more.
I am always spending the money I will win in my mind, most times I start to think about all the money can do for me even before I win, I keep on calculating how I would double bet and how  I will celebrate among my family but all this thoughts disappears into the air once the game is over and the reality hits that no one wins in gambling lol

I sometimes wish there is a way to control this thoughts because I believe it’s one of the reason we end up performing poorly while playing. The heart is filled with anxiety, fears and hopes and all this emotions joined together is the reason why we may never win because to win in gambling, the heart must be free from all kinds of thoughts that could affect how the game is been played. It’s just bad that it is impossible to stop this thoughts from coming.
3179  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Traders who never bother to learn how to trade on: August 11, 2019, 03:40:23 PM
I kind of noticed that trading was not meant for me, because I am a low learner and not too serious of learning new things including in the trading field. I only buy coins when my friends says so, I never questioned them, maybe because I trusted them. When I tried to make decisions all by myself and picked some new alts, I lost it, and therefore stopped. All that I have bought was failures, I did not put much attention and therefore come to the point I quit.
This is really happening, mostly the new ones who are interested are the ones often being victim of this, they do not know how to trade but they do trade with them lacking in skills and knowledge of trading.
Never write yourself off, I don’t believe that there is anything that we cannot do if we out our mind to it, I know that trading is not for everyone, but not because we are completely weak about it. It is all about passion, it is when you don’t have passion for it that you will find yourself not learning it, but if you have passion for it, even if you are a very slow learner, you will definitely pick up one day

I would not force you to do what you don’t have passion for, as you have decided to quite trading, the advice I would have for you is to quit and then try to learn more about trading, and as you are learning, there are trading platforms that you can use to continue learning with and I believe that with time, you will surely get used to it and you find yourself doing better.
3180  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Sold too damn early!! Kicking myself... on: August 11, 2019, 03:01:45 PM
Provided you make profit from it, that is all that matters, you cannot always catch every pump that you see. Seems you were also just gambling with your trade because you sold out of boredom and not because you were fully prepared to sell it, next me, you have to be in the right state of mind for trading before you can execute your trades.

I also learnt to start keeping journal of my trade also after I got an advice from a mate here who explain the reason why a trader needs to keep journal and I followed the strategy, I must confess to you that journal is really a very important trading tool, I think every trader must have a journal beside them that they will always Use to keep record of their trade and also serve as a little reminder for their actions, it is a good thing to practice.
