Now that’s a new kind of prediction first people were saying prices would go up to 1 lakh and now according to Tim it can touch $250k while these predictions look good on paper, in reality it’s very difficult to achieve it even in 2023. The only part about his prediction I’ll agree is that Bitcoin can become a major method of exchange, as it’s insanely cheap and fast to send funds abroad using bitcoins.

Eh, I don't think that means anything really.  He understands what bitcoin is basically all about and has chosen not to invest in it--plus with all the money he has, he'd have a very hard time buying any without coming close to cornering the market and in the process driving up the price.  He's got enough investments in stocks and businesses that are making him tons of money, so he doesn't need to buy any bitcoin.

I don't know about $250k by 2023, but it certainly could happen.  I never thought bitcoin would hit $10k when it did the first time, so I've kind of learned to expect the unexpected.  2023 is a ways away, so it'll be interesting to see how it turns out.

That is always a good thing to hear someone rather 'important' say he does believe in Bitcoin. It helps building credibility.
(Well most of the time, McAfee is an exception to this I think! )

2023 is roughly three years and a half away from now.
Price is actually 11 370$.

Reaching 250 000$ by would mean a 238 630 US dollar price increase.

Is it feasible? Yes it is.
It is something certain? Definitely not.

I was quite deceived by the krach that followed the 20k$ bull run back in 2017.
Hence, I am a bit more pessimist about the future, but still this is just my random opinion, and anything could happen in the tech sector.

If I came back to Bitcoin after some time away, this is because after thinking for a while about the underlying tech, I came to the definitive conclusion, that it is promised to success.

Bitcoin is the next step in the development of technology that started after we entered in the dot-com era at the turn of the century.
So for sure 250 000$ will come some day, probably in the next decade.
But 2023 may still be a bit too early.
But anything can happen! And markets are not an exact science so only time will tell!

I don't believe in these predictions. In 2018 they were saying that we will have a new high by the end of the year. In 2019 they are saying the same thing.

I know that this prediction by Draper is more of a long term one but there are many positive predictions as there are negative. We chose to believe the positive ones because we want Bitcoin to succeed that's all. Try to be objective. 50 thousand would be a big achievement for Bitcoin even in the next 2 or 3 years.

There is a statement that thoughts are material.If the majority will believe and constantly think about the high price of bitcoin,then it will be so.But I believe around the should be common sense.And he suggests that the price of $ 250 000 is simply unrealistic.

It's not unrealistic if you factor in the fact that most bitcoins held today will be in new hands. Now Draper has so many that I'm sure he will still hold plenty until he dies, but he is a very rare case.

If he believes in it so much he should take a loan and buy every bitcoin out there that he can afford. All those people who make this ridiculous predictions have a stash of gold, stocks and fiat money hidden somewhere. Many of them own a number of houses. They could sell everything and buy bitcoin now and be billionaires in 3 years

Come on! This is not news anymore, is this? I wonder why some crypto publications still spend time and effort for pronouncements such as this. Tim Draper, Mike Novogratz, Max Keiser, John McAfee, and several others have always been releasing very bullish statements-- to the point of exaggeration-- about Bitcoin's price. The last I heard from one of them is that Bitcoin is gonna hit $15,000 within the week. Well, we have an hour and a few minutes left and Bitcoin is still at $11,300.  

They do this because it brings viewers, if someone made that same prediction but he was not famous or extremely wealthy no one will give any attention to it, but since we are talking about Tim Draper then anything that he says about bitcoin is newsworthy, and since those that are bitcoin holders are interested in hearing positive news about bitcoin then what can be better than a known wealthy individual giving extremely bullish predictions?

Tom Lee has never said anything about him holding Bitcoin, so I assume that he isn't in on this market-- which I hope he isn't looking back at how he continuously fails to understand how this market works.

It's very easy why personalities such as Tim Draper is really shilling for bitcoin. This guy is one of the early bag holders and I'm sure majority of his money is on bitcoin. So obviously he needs to pump the market with his exorbitant claims. But who knows, he could be right, so just imagine, owning 1 BTC and just holding it for the next 4-5 years, and what's more if you got like 10-100 BTC by that time. 

You are so ignorant. Draper was a billionaire when he bought his tens of thousands of bitcoins in the Silk Road auction for a couple hundred each. If bitcoin went to zero tomorrow he'd still be a billionaire.

Tom Lee is also a permabull. I reckon he and his clients in Fundstrat are in a firm position to hold no matter what the market is doing.

It's possible for it to achieve since we still have 4 years to achieve it.  And there was a prediction I just saw that within one week bitcoin could go back to 15000 usd. Let's just wait for it to go up again. I'm currently hodling my btc.

Honestly I just found this prediction non-sense.  They are just stating this one to be on the spot light, riding the sentiment of bullish crypto enthusiast.

He isn't 100% right, Bitcoin goes up more than $10k.  He would be more reliable if he predict that ATH of BTC in 2017.  Anyone can say something that Bitcoin will be in X value in this Y time.

Most popular Bitcoin expert are sometimes not even close to Bitcoin price prediction. So it's best one don't don't act or solely depend on their prediction always.
Surely Bitcoin price will increase in the coming years but its best to look at the price of 100k at that first quarter of the year.
Reason is that there is likely to be a huge price pump in the year 2020/2021, after that there could be a little reformation during the year 2023; IMO though.

You think so because he is a public figure, I do not know why we always hold these people’s world like that have one magical thinking sense that they use to see the future, whatever analysis they do is not far difference from what you and I do also, so before we conclude that they are true about something, we have to take that report also and then analysis it first, he could have predicted the 10K for 2017 and anyone could have also predicted it then but not seen because they are not pubic figure like him,
If he was completely accurate, why did he not see that bitcoin was going to actually hit $20k, and why did he not also warn people that after hitting $20k, it would decline, they just predict to create fomo for their own interest. Well, I believe that bitcoin by 2023 would have a realistic value of $50k but not that $250.

People holding on to exaggerated predictions by experts might be something similar to someone who bought a lottery ticket. Winning the jackpot is their only hope for a better life for that week before the draw hehehe.

People now become smart, they don't just follow the other people say before they analyze by themselves. People learn from the past, and that makes them can decide to follow or not. They will make their own decision but they still depend on the market movements and if somehow, the prediction from the other people is wrong, they can get a solution to find their way. People in out there can say whatever they want and I don't think that they can make people panic now although the panicking can happen when the price is suddenly down deeper.
