6 bitcoins is not a tiny amount..

no one said it was...

I think what he meant was 6 bitcoins is a lot to lend for only a 0.1btc return.  It doesn't really matter whether the term is for a couple days or a couple months - you still have equal chance to lose all your coins.   Undecided

I am open to suggestions of the lender.  If they do not feel like that return is enough, anyone may state their offer.  I will not be budging by much, but if something peaks my interest we could possibly negotiate.

I would be willing to throw 25K Doge in up front once the money has been transferred.  That's another about .025

I'd cover some of the loan if I had the funds on hand, but all my funds are tied into mining hardware and expansion.
Best of luck man.

Thank you for the interest/thought.  Hopefully someone will see an easy/risk free tenth of a bitcoin and jump on it.

Twentieth of a bitcoin...

On my last post I upped it to 5.9 loaned for a 6 btc return, which is a tenth. Smiley  Should probably update the main thread.
3164  Economy / Lending / Re: Want to Borrow 6 Btc for 6 Days on: May 06, 2014, 10:45:43 PM
Also, not that it matters as the funds are covered by buys on coinbase, but if someone grants the loan, I will share what I want to use the funds for.

Yes please, for those of us who do not know what the difference in those boards means can you please explain if hitting that 85 GH/s is good?  Is that on target for a 140A board?  Does that put your estimates of getting 120 GH/s on a 200A board feasible?  Please elaborate on what that means?

Small Business Note:  Leaving a message that the chip that was designed to achieve 120 GH/s is getting 85 GH/s, and not explaining to a non-technical crowd what this means is generally a bad idea. (especially when that crowd is already a little angry) Smiley

Also - you did not include power specs, were those being tested as well? What are/were they?

Edit:  I think you should post an address where you are doing your testing to, I would like to see/know what BA is doing with the chips now that they are in hand.

Ok hi, I know you are a hero member and all, a good history,  and I'm 99% sure that you will pay back, but this is setting a horrible example for the newbies out here chilling in the lending section :/  So I just had to post that Grin

I appreciate your opinion, and I could not agree with you more.  In fact, I have left feedback on many threads with similar warnings (albeit only on new accounts).  I guess my thought process was, any serious new account will be like I was.  This is my first time asking in the loan section for a loan.  Been into bitcoin for many years, had this account for a little less time than that, and this is my first instance in trying to get a loan.  I knew never to ask before this, and I would hope that a new account would have the same mindset, if not, they are usually labeled as scammers, and for good reason.  One has to go through hoops to get trust, also for good reason.

Now, I am still looking for the loan, and will be for a few more hours until I just ask my business partner for it (still trying to avoid that as I would rather not have that between us).  If someone is kind enough to help me out, I will only ask for 5.9, and repay the 6 bitcoin, thereby increasing the amount earned for a 6 day loan.  If you have smaller amounts, they will also be considered (although I would prefer to have at least 2 or 3 btc per loaner).

Thanks,

DebitMe
3168  Economy / Lending / Want to Borrow 6 Btc for 6 Days (CLOSED) on: May 06, 2014, 05:34:58 PM
EDIT: I have closed this down, got it from a friend and no longer need it.

Thanks for the interest.

I am not sure if this loan will be fulfilled, as it is based solely off of my reputation, but I am looking for a 6 bitcoin loan.  I hate asking my friend for it, but if this gets a poor response I might have to.

Basically, I have orders in at coinbase for 2 btcs to be delivered this Friday the 9th, and 4 btcs to be delivered Monday the 12th.  The problem is, I would like those bitcoins now, as I need to do a few things with them.

So here is my offer, I can either repay the entire 6 bitcoins on Monday, or the 2 this Friday and the 4 on Monday. (By the end of the day)

I am asking for a 5.95 btc loan today, for 6 btc repaid in less than 6 days.  I am not sure what the APR comes out to on that, but if someone would like to calculate it be my guest.

I have nothing currently to offer as collateral, which is why I am not sure if anyone will take this loan based on rep alone.  I have somewhere around 100K Doge, and some invested btc.  But I have plenty of cash and a stable job, and since the bitcoin is already purchased from Coinbase (and the cash taken from my bank account) I am not worried about being able to repay this.  Can send pics of buys on coinbase if requested.

Please let me know if there is anyone interested.

Edit:  Dropped loan amount to 5.9 bitcoin loaned and will return the 6 bitcoin next Monday.

We are pleased to confirm that Black Arrow Minion works.

We are now testing speed and power consumption.

YAY, again congratulations.  That is great news.

Well congrats, they look nice, I hope they perform at or above specs.  We seem to be pretty close to starting shipping.  I think now is the time to really show your customers who you are and wow them with some positive news on both the chip and compensation front.
3171  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Black Arrow 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $1.99/GH/s, miners from $2.97/GH/s on: May 05, 2014, 03:14:52 PM
Indeed the chips will arrive on the 6th.

Oh I thought they were shipping on the 6th?  Just arriving?  My bad must have misread something, will there be an update tomorrow with pics and specs and what not?

Also, I am not sure if there is any more reevaluating going on about the compensation plan, but has anyone brought up further (besides me) about being able to sell the 50% discounts?  I would def buy some off of people who only ordered 1 unit and cannot or will not buy another one, so that I get 2 units for 1.5x the price of one.

I suppose a question some people might be asking themselves is, "Just how long is the long con?"

Or maybe, "If the hashing I'm getting now is worth less than half the hashing I expected at the earlier promised delivery dates, have I only been half scammed?"

Conned and scammed, or half conned and half scammed?  Huh

 Undecided

The good news is, after all of this ordeal, we will know tomorrow whether this has been one big scam or not.  I believe tomorrow (the 6th) is when chips should start shipping, which means that they will have chips in hand or not.  I would have thought getting the chips would be big news and BA would have gotten on here and rubbed it in all of our faces that they actually had chips, but that has not seemed to happen.  So the question is have chips arrived or haven't they?  I guess we will know tomorrow.
3173  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [FS]4 Antminer S1's & 2 BFL Jallys on: May 02, 2014, 06:00:45 PM
would you consider shipping to the eu?
Pm Sent

I have enough antminers currently (peaking power usage as it is) but I would give you $60 for each of the jally's plus $10 for shipping if your interested?
I am interested. However I would prefer to sell as a package.

NOTE: if Cannachris gets the package and does not want the Jallys I can sell them to you.

Fully understand and sounds good, let me know!

Unfortunately I do not think I will be able to meet you at the prices your suggesting, but Ill leave this here if you change your mind.  I am happy to deal in Western Union at bitstamp rate *.1.04, you pay fees.  The reason why people pay more than the coinbase rate is for a couple of reasons, the highest being anonymity.  You have to give a ton of information to coinbase, and those who do not want to, cannot buy at the lower prices that they offer.  dealing with coinbase also requires you to trust them and allow them to have bank info.  Dealing with someone like me does not require any of that.  You drop off cash at a Western Union branch and I pick it up and send you coin.  No bank account info needed or trusting third (bitcoinworld) parties.

If your interested please let me know, I usually do not go as low as 4% premium, but with the volume your suggesting I will swing it.  Plus I am very trusted and have tons of rep and can supply the above mentioned amounts weekly.
3176  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Do You Want to Buy Btc With Cash????? on: May 02, 2014, 01:36:37 AM
LocalBitcoins is a good site, but they still require identifications and it may be hard for a newbie to find someone willing to trade with them.  I am willing to work with them, having a ton of positive trust and can usually make the trade happen in a couple of hours, so the money/btc gets in your hand as quick as possible, also, localbitcoins seems to usually have much higher rates than 5%.  As far as safe, you still have to trust the site and a few other things, whereas you only have me to trust on here, and I have done lots of trades with many thousands of dollars at risk and sent to me first.  Of course, it is up to you to decide if you want to do it, but the option is at least there.
3177  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Do You Want to Buy Btc With Cash????? on: May 01, 2014, 08:05:49 PM
Do you have a localbitcoins ad? if so can you link it.

I might buy some a bit later.

I started to use it, got scammed, partly because the person was an a-hole scumbag and partly my own fault for not paying enough attention.  Long story short, I think he does not have control of my account anymore, but I am still verifying that with the website and I do not want to load more bitcoin on there until I can confirm they are safe.

I can usually always get to a WU kiosk in a couple of hours and send btc as soon as I get the cash, my rep is very good and I have done numerous trades, so just trying to help some people out.
3178  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The perfect gift for a bitcoin enthusiast? [Ideas Hunt] on: May 01, 2014, 08:03:15 PM
I am working on making some bitcoin scratchcards that I envision would be good gifts for a bitcoin enthusiast.  They will be just like scratchcards you buy at the store but you win bitcoins!  Hoping for a price point of a dollar each, but it might have to be two dollars for the first batch, still working on pricing so will see what develops.  Thought it would be a neat gift idea and fit your description pretty well.

Bumping as I have done a few Western Union deals through other threads.

Also willing to meet in a bank and sell for bitstamp + 5%, can do a couple thousand at a time, if more is desired, would need a couple days notice before meetup.  PM if interested.
