3181  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Special Group Buy - Spondoolies-Tech SP30 pre-order] ***EASTER WEEK SALE*** on: April 23, 2014, 03:48:04 AM

Not bad Smiley ... so theoretically RoadStress can earn 100BTC ( 1000 units) for just arranging the group buy ...  now why I did not think of this... but again I am too new in the game...

Actually his take would be 10 BTC -- 10% of the total as noted in the OP.

well he will earn the 100BTC first then distribute it ? or has he started distributing already ?

Any how I am fine either way ..for me he can keep it all to himself if he likes.. I was acknowledging that this is a pretty good idea to earn BTC 'legitimately ' since its a win-win situation for everybody ( as far as I can see) ..

10 or 100BTC for the smarts Smiley and well earned...

My "share" will be 10 BTC if we get to 1000 units sold. Still a long way to go! I will distribute them them at the end of this GB. It's a win-win for me since it's a great time to prove my trustworthiness and for miners to finally be treated as they should!

I heard of cointerra, never used their service, but what are you saying that they are not worth using, is that right?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=269093.0 this is their official thread. Read it backwards from last page. After that come and join my Group Buy.

August delivery? Excellent, what's the hash rate going to be in August? Smiley

You tell me!

Hey man how about the first customers of SP-10 from spondoolies Huh Donīt they deserve special promotion also ?? Or only the persons who bought from competition have discount ?? Thatīs is not fair

I know that Spondoolies issued a promotion for their current customers during the first week of this month. If you didn't check that you want to receive promotions from then at the time of your order then you didn't received. (i did this and didn't got the mail). Drop them an e-mail.
3185  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: April 22, 2014, 02:27:29 PM

Firstly, stop using this thread to plug your group-buy. I sincerely doubt anyone cares.

Secondly, AM is an established company in this industry, trying to compare it to someone on a forums group-buy is insulting.

I was addressing jimmothy's issue when bitcoin.newsfeed jumped in to express his feelings about pre-orders which is now addressed too.

Whole discussion started when i expressed my view on the Jutarul's projected hashrate. My first post was replying to Franktank which was very happy about the hashrate deployment. I haven't started this by directly advertising my GB. I like to participate in discussions (as i did long before the GB) and if i'm organizing a GB i think that i should retain that right too. Also i was giving real life facts as example directly from my GB because it's the most obvious proof that money aren't flowing into mining as they used to last year. Backing statements with proofs and  facts is something that it should be done more often here on the forums don't you think?

Assuming 1$/GH at system level, that would mean that 50PH=50M$. With the current exchange rate and with the current market i simply don't think that will happen.

Says the guy running a $5 million dollar group buy..

He's running PRE-ORDER group buy Roll Eyes  Wink

It's a pre-order group buy for a company that already have a working product and already delivered units sooner than promised. It's not a regular "new company pre-order scheme". Also i have expressed my views regarding this pre-order in the second post of the Group Buy.

Also we all know that AM likes to sell in stock miners at an overpriced cost. WAY overpriced. From what i remember they used to sell last year miners for more than 30$/GH when the rest of market was around 15$/GH. My Group Buy offers the lowest $/GH for the pre-order miners from a well established and funded company, but also the lowest $/GH for their already launched miner, the SP10 (2.14$/GH lowest price right now on market). Would you be interested in extending the deadline and offer a further savings for a new target number of orders?  Grin

Just posted:

!!! Group Buy extension until 30 April for SP10 deal !!!

After negotiating with Spondoolies Tech i managed to get:
- The Group Buy will be prolonged until 30 April 23:55 CEST time;
- When Group Buy will reach 700 units sold ALL participants in the Group Buy will be able to buy SP10 units for $3,400 or $3,000 if they had a previous purchase from other companies under the following terms:
           - Shipping: will be done after 18th May, but some may receive their units faster;
           - Payment: as soon as they showed their interest, 4 days grace maximum. If payment not received in 4 days they lose the shipping queue;
           - Stock: first come first served! The offer is for a limited stock of units and is only valid as long as they have the stock to offer them. They will only charge what they can ship.

No additional reservation fee required.

My group buy offers 0.832$/GH and it's filled just ~27% with just 3 days left. I think this reiterates my above statement.

Submitted Questions:
1) What is the status, size, and expected delivery of the next batch of chips? What about the one after that?
re 1) This month: 850k, next month: 3.35m (order size), June: 6.7m (order size), assuming each chip is 10G.

Huzzah! Winter is nearly over!

So its about 10.9 million chips @ 10 GH/s = 109 PH/s

What's the expected $/GH for this numbers? Assuming 1$/GH at system level, that would mean that 50PH=50M$. With the current exchange rate and with the current market i simply don't think that will happen. Assuming people are ready to pour such amounts of money into mining. I am reading the Mining forum everyday and i see that people are very reluctant of investing that much.

Spondoolies have already secured a great DC deal in WA exactly for people who don't have to worry about power issues in their tiny apartment. I don't get what are you trying to say.

Is there any information available about this deal?

Soon. It's a very good one Wink

Already posted in our thread, posting it here again:

We're happy to announce that we've secured a deal with a high quality data center in Central WA for ultra cheap long term hosting. US bundles customers (50 units or more, SP10 or SP30) are invited to contact us at sales@spondoolies-tech.com for details

Someone needs to organize a group deal for this so the smaller miners can take advantage of this ultra cheap hosting also. I'd love to get in on this.

Spondoolies really needs to make a smaller/cheaper miner. If their next gen chip is 187gh/s why not make a miner with one or two chips?
This is no longer a game for small fries.  Only serious ballers are going to be miners in just about 6 months.  Spondoolies doesn't have time to deal with the complaints and issues of little part time dudes with 500 Watts extra in their tiny apartments.  This shit is for real.

So he is not issuing refunds, he isn't shipping boards, but he is mining for himself. Why do people still believe that ken will do the right thing?

What about working ASICs but obsolete generation like gen1 Avalon chips?

Even if it doesn't look like it, i still believe that difficulty is slowing down and let me explain you my view:

It does look like it if you look in the right place: http://bitcoin.sipa.be/growth.png

Thank you for pointing that out.

Sorry, but having BFL and "ship" in the same sentence just doesn't make any sense. We all know how they shipped their first gen ASIC and they already face a 5 months delay just for having chips. Shipping 20k Monarchs will never happen. Never!

They eventually shipped.  They got chips in over the weekend and they are testing.  If they pass tests shipping may begin as early as Monday of next week.  It may not be fast shipping, but between now and August is an explosive amount of Hash being added.

I don't want to derail the topic to BFL fails, but i remember that for their previous generation of chips it took a lot of time since they had chips in hands until they started shipping to customers. They will find some reasons to delay it more(maybe to mine something for themselves), as they always did,(i still remember the clock buffers and also HashFail's substrate problem) and even when they will ship they will ship less than 50 units per day. Shipping 20k Monarchs in a short time is something that simply won't happen.
3200  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Special Group Buy - Spondoolies-Tech SP30 pre-order] ***EASTER WEEK SALE*** on: April 21, 2014, 06:36:08 PM
In terms of hash rate, right now it's around 60 million ghash.  If BFL ships 20,000 Royal Monarchs plus regular Monarchs, the Hashrate will be an additional 32 million.  Around a 50% increase in hash rate.  If you through all the rest of the companies like KNC, Asicminer, etc.  You're going to double the difficulty.  But then it gets really difficult to try and double it again because there just aren't that many orders out there.  And a lot of miners have switched to Scrypt mining.  Plus, a doubling of the hash rate is going to cause older 65nm and below equipment to go offline for those ordinary people who pay their electric bill.

So I would not expect the Hashrate to triple by August.  It IS going to spike, and ROI is going to be further out, but I believe it'll ROI.

Hi Roadstress,

Just letting you know thats a bad comparison

sept - jan     4 months
jan   - april   3 months

As I said I got my examples just to have similar dates. There are just 2 more weeks until we will have 4 months (jan-may) and will see, but considering that we only have ~4.x% for 3 months i don't see how can we get close to the 16x for the previous 4 months.
