This guy has a great business mind. Back in 2017 he started with a cryptocurrency exchange and 2022 he is buying a stake in a 100 year old media outlet. In just 5 years he has grown to be one of the top influencer and businessman in the world. This is surely another great move by him.

Finally, it got confirmed. I always check the minimum transaction fee before processing any payments on https://mempool.space/ I would recommend everyone here to do the same first otherwise transaction may get stuck. I am not sure which wallet was used by the OP but every wallet has low, medium and high modes. You can choose the medium one every time if you do not want the transaction to get stuck.

What do you mean by new contract scam in crypto?

What you have written basically means that most projects are updating the contract, which as per my understanding is a part of the development process and should not be termed as a scam. If investors are not active on the telegram channel of these crypto projects then they are to be blamed not the project owners.

4. Phantom wallet

I have tried using Exodus wallet but was not satisfied. If you are looking for a multichain wallet then try Guarda wallet. It is far better than those listed here. I personally use trust wallet only to access a few dapps on BSC and not to store my assets.

After a bad start by the Indian side they were still able to get a score of more than 200 which I think is good. None of us are celebrating here. Please stop using such shit statement when you do not understand English.

WI have already lost two wickets but I think they still can win this match If Pollard can perform today. I know that it will be hard for them but if they are able to do it then I am sure the next match will be good for gambling.

I don't know which match you are following today since there is no Pollard in today's game. Nicholas Pooran is West Indies captain today. Right now India looks favorite as 5 West Indies batsmen are back on a score of 77 runs. Prasidh Krishna has got 3 wickets after giving 4 runs in 5 overs.
I am also following the same game that your are too that was a general bluff to find out who are watching the live match. Except Brooks every other batsmen was like just chill. Series won by India nothing left now.

India vs West Indies

I am also expecting India to win today's match. And the match seems to be one-sided. The West Indies are not in good form now. Their players are not experienced enough. India may not be in a very good position, but i hope they will win against West Indies easily.

Never celebrate too early. WI today won the toss and chose to field first. India scored 237 runs in 50 overs. Suryakumar Yadav and KL Rahul are the only two noticeable in the batting. There were 6 bowlers used and all got wickets. Its a good chance for WI to level the series. WI need to play sensibly today.

Seriously? WTF? They dropped two of their best bowlers! Without Anderson, they would have been in a humiliating position during the Ashes series. He was their best bowler, by a distance. It was the younger bunch of bowlers who failed (Wood, Woakes, Robinson.etc). I guess he was dropped just because of his age, and that is so unfair to a bowler who had served the national team for almost two decades. And regarding Broad, I believe that he is one of the most under-rated players in test cricket. Very unfair decision from the ECB selectors.

I assume this has to do with the humiliating defeat that they faced in the ashes. I also think the age factor has also played a role here as Anderson is 39 years old and Board 35. ECB might be looking for a replacement here and since the WI team is not that good they might try some new bowlers thinking about the future.

The Indian Premier League auction pool will have to wait a little longer for eight players from India's U-19 World Cup-winning team. Because only U-19 players who have competed in at least one first-class match or list A game are eligible to participate in the auction. List of players who are not eligible are Dinesh Bana, Shaik Rasheed, Ravi Kumar, Nishant Sindhu, Siddarth Yadav, Angkrish Raghuvanshi, Manav Parakh, Garv Sangwan, Nishant Sindhu, Siddarth Yadav, Angkrish Raghuvanshi, Man

Both franchisee were banned from IPL for two years. Raj Kundra and Shilpa Shetty co owned a certain amount of stake in Rajasthan Royal not the whole franchise. They are no longer part of the franchise anymore and Raj kundra has been banned from any from of cricket too. India cement is the owner of Chennai super king wherein Srinivasan and his daughter jointly control the team. You might have forgotten that Srinivasan was forced to resign from BCCI after his son in law was caught.

The franchises were not banned. They were given a temporary suspension of two years and after that they were re-admitted into the IPL. In case of Raj Kundra, he just transferred the ownership of the franchise to his wife (Shilpa Shetty) and Mr. Meiyappan also did the same by transferring the shares to his wife (Rupa Gurunath, the daughter of N Srinivasan). I would call this as inadequate punishment. And mafia don Srinivasan was kicked out by the supreme court, and not because of the betting scandal. NDA won the elections in 2014 and that was what actually caused the downfall of Srinivasan (who is affiliated to the UPA).

Both Shilpa Shetty and her husband sold their 11.7% stake in RR back in 2015. Meliyapan is banned but India cement is the primary owner of CSK. Meliyapan does not hold any shares in India cement otherwise they will lose CSK too. Yes, both father and daughter are the director of India cement. Read this article about Shilpa Shetty - https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/entertainment/hindi/bollywood/news/shilpa-shetty-hubby-give-up-stake-in-ipl-team/articleshow/46308322.cms

2 test series are lined up and squads are out from the visitors.

-NZ vs SA
-PAK vs AUS (4 March) Good to see that Aussie are sending full strength team. WTC points are on the line, it should be exciting series. No Langer tho, he's not Aussie's coach anymore. 3 spinners in the squad, that's nice.

"Australia Test squad: Pat Cummins (c), Ashton Agar, Scott Boland, Alex Carey, Cameron Green, Marcus Harris, Josh Hazlewood, Travis Head, Josh Inglis, Usman Khawaja, Marnus Labuschagne, Nathan Lyon, Mitchell Marsh, Michael Neser, Steve Smith (vc), Mitchell Starc, Mitchell Swepson, David Warner"
https://www.cricket.com.au/news/australia-test-squad-tour-of-pakistan-harris-boland-richardson-schedule-george-bailey/2022-02-08
Following the announcement of the squad, we are waiting to roll out the test matches. A trio of spinners has been named in the Australian Test squad for their upcoming tour of Pakistan. Full strength Australian squad announced for Pakistan tour. Australia's top Test side is going to Pakistan with full strength. We are looking forward to this exciting series. Even so, we shouldn't be surprised if a number of them decide to pull out at the last minute.

Australia will be visiting Pakistan after 24 years. This is great news as Australia is sending the full test squad to Pakistan. I do not think a few players from this squad will pull out this time. Already COVID-19 situation is slowly getting under control and IPL is scheduled to be in April unless there is a security concern I do not think there should be a problem.

India will be playing with WI tomorrow in the 2nd ODI and I am not expecting WI to perform in a similar fashion that they did in the first match. The first match was a cakewalk for the Indian side after WI scored just 176 runs. Chahal and Sunder destroyed the WI batting side and hopefully, they will do the same tomorrow. WI have to try to level series otherwise there will not be any interest left in this tournament.

https://economictimes.indiatimes.com/tech/technology/crypto-exchanges-to-brief-policymakers-on-tds-tangles/articleshow/89372406.cms

Quote
Mumbai: The industry body representing cryptocurrency exchanges has decided to reach out to relevant policymakers to brief them about complications arising out of the government’s move to levy a 1% TDS on all crypto transactions.

The issue was discussed at the meeting of the Blockchain and Crypto Assets Council (BACC) on Saturday, where the overwhelming view was that this move would dent crypto trading volumes and drive small traders towards informal Person to Person (P2P) trading and decentralised exchanges (DEX).

Crypto exchanges derive a large chunk of their revenues from traders who frequently trade and pay a small sum on every trade.

According to the provisions of this year’s finance bill, the buyer of a cryptocurrency has to deduct 1% of the sale consideration and pay the amount as an advance tax to the government on behalf of the seller on every trade. The withholding will apply where sale consideration is more than or equal to Rs 50,000 (for specific individual payers) and Rs 10,000 for others. TDS must be deducted on both crypto-to-rupee and crypto-to-crypto swaps.

But people opposed to these provisions say the provisions are impractical and will lead to complications in compliance, thereby discouraging trading on formal exchanges.

For instance, to pay advance tax, the buyer needs to have details of the seller, such as name, PAN number, etc. As this information lies with the exchanges, not with the buyer, the buyer won't be able to remit money to the government.

No Clarity on Implementation

Moreover, day traders make multiple trades per day, often with small margins. Therefore, the volume of the TDS payouts could be substantial and also considerable time would need to be devoted to this exercise.

“Specific sections regarding TDS are still confusing. We believe multiple discussions are needed to come up with better systems or processes. We are very hopeful that the right actions will be taken,” said Sumit Gupta, CEO & cofounder, CoinDCX, one of India’s largest crypto exchanges. “We are happy that the industry has got clarity and confidence. However, I would also like to point out that it's two steps forward and one step back.”

Tax experts say that the government hasn’t thought through the tax proposals and hasn't consulted enough with the crypto stakeholders.

“The government has come up with tax regulations but has not clarified how to implement them. The way TDS regulations stand currently, it could severely dent crypto trading in India,” said Anoush Bhasin, founder of New Delhi based cryptocurrency tax advisory Quagmire Consulting.

The crypto community believes that policymakers should interact more with all the stakeholders—exchanges, market participants and tax experts—to understand the pain points of the industry.

“There were a lot of positives for the crypto industry in the budget. We believe the government has taken a step towards recognising digital assets. But the government should also look into the operations side of the exchanges to understand the impact,” said Atulya Bhat, CMO, BuyUcoin.

BACC plans to hold several knowledge sessions for policymakers to apprise them about the workings of the exchanges and how the taxes will impact their revenue models.

In their meeting, the BACC members discussed all details of the new crypto tax regime.

The crypto investor community has also been up in arms against the 30% tax on crypto currencies announced by FM Nirmala Sitharaman in the Budget.

“The thumb rule in taxation has always been to tax citizens as per their income. The rich end up paying more taxes than the poor. In this case, both are being treated in the same way. Imagine the rich, who are already in the 30% income bracket, won't have much of a problem, but consider the small investor who has invested less than Rs 50,000. Also, there were many people who were earning their income as freelancers, now they will be taxed at a flat 30%,” said Kashif Raza, founder, Bitinning, a crypto education platform.

During the last three days, the hashtags #reducecryptotax and #faircryptotax have been trending on Twitter. By Saturday evening, more than 63,000 people had signed the petition started by popular crypto influencer Aditya Singh and amplified by popular social media influencers like Sandeep Bahuguna, Pushpendra Singh and Kashif Raza.

To be precise never believe in economics times. They were the ones who were always against crypto. If you do a google check from 2017 you will know what they had been venting out. I would still wait for more details directly from the ministry.

What happened to WI today? Are they playing an ODI match or a T20 match with India? 93/7 what went wrong this time? I doubt they will be able to score 150 today if they lose another wicket now. This match is now completely one-sided now and I have lost all my interest in it. Chahal took 3 wickets today and has only given 17 runs and Pollard was out for a duck.

How did those scammers get the numbers of Binance account holders? If someone does not have an account on Binance then the user will be least bothered with these kinds of SMS. Phishing scams were very common in the ICO days a lot of investors lost a good amount of money. They are still happening and everyone needs to be cautious about it.

There is no accountability and that is the reason why these sort of incidents repeat in the IPL. Two of the franchises were caught red handed for match fixing, and rather than terminating them the BCCI just handed them a two-year suspension. This lax attitude actually encourages more criminal activity within the IPL. On top of that the Chennai SuperKings and the Hyderabad SunRisers are still owned by individuals with proven links to match fixing.
Do you have the exact pieces of evidence of these two franchises involved in corruption of match fixing and were caught Red handed? Let's show them to  few of the people here who want to close their eyes on these facts and can't hear their beloved league to be fixed.  Cool

I am just quoting the report from the BCCI itself. Back in 2015, two of the franchise owners (Gurunath Meiyappan of Chennai Super Kings and Raj Kundra of the Rajasthan Royals) were found to be involved in spot-fixing. They were found to be betting against their own team, which should clarify any doubts in case there were any. Both the franchises are still under their indirect ownership and Meiyappan's wife (Rupa Gurunath) is the president of Tamil Nadu Cricket Association. Incidentally, Mr. Meiyappan is the son in law of the most powerful person in Indian cricket (N. Srinivasan).
3196  Local / India / Re: Budget blunders: Income from transfer of digital assets to be taxed at 30% on: February 06, 2022, 06:19:08 AM
As mentioned, it's definitely a great blunder, not only because the government has taxed cryptocurrency at 30%, they are also not allowing to set off your losses in cryptocurrency, as mentioned by JSRAW, they have considered crypto income more like casual incomes made from Gambling, betting, lottery. This means it's clear they are not giving it the status of an organized market. Moreover this decision has ensured that there won't be any crypto startups in this country moving forward.
At some point they will have to reduce the taxation because it's totally unfair that they are taxing 30% for crypto gains while 15% - 20% on stock gains.

I think they are considering crypto as similar to gambling, not stock trading but betting kind.

In that case they should follow state specific gambling laws since the government has told the states to imply their on rules for gambling.

State-specific laws are merely for organizing gambling, taxation is handled centrally only, they are treating the incomes from crypto as gambling, not treating the crypto trading as gambling altogether.
Hardly a blunder IMO, may be a bit hasty decision but not blunder by any means. Considering every tom-dick-harry was filing PIL after PIL to ban or even news of 10 years jail time were popping here n there, not to mention virtually every media house, print media was busy on creating fud.

I guess it would be too early to comment on future of crypto startup but with recent announcement they indirectly endorsed the crypto.

First crypto community was fighting for "India wants crypto" now focus should be on crypto tax. Its a tiring process but future does look good.
If the government wanted to clear doubts around crypto a simpler way was to just tax it as a normal income. By taxing it at the highest slab government itself is creating FUD for the sector. Starting the tax regime of new technology in such a negative fashion discourages the technology a lot. But yes one clarity we have got is that it's not getting banned and that is for sure. Because not only Income tax, the government has plans to bring in GST also on the service charges levied in crypto trading. This means government is ready to collect it's cut of revenue from crypto transactions. If they have thought of these means there is no way a plan to ban them.

PS: 10 year Jail news was horrible LOL I remember writing about it on forum as it was mentioned in the draft bill for Virtual currencies.
Government has only defined the tax part here. The regulation bill is yet to be presented. We still need to wait for the next session of the parliament when the proposed bill will be presented. More clarity related to the tax will be out in the coming days. It is too early to derive any conclusion at the moment.

India wins the U19 world cup for the fifth time. This time Yash Dhull gets added to the list of captains winning the U19 world cup for India. Previously it was Mohammad Kaif, Virat Kohli, Unmukt Chand and Prithvi Shaw.

This time more records have been made. Most runs and most sixes by an individual, Dewald Brevis had scored 506 runs with 18 sixes. Most sixes hit in a single edition - 338 sixes. England winning the toss was an advantage, but they missed the good start. Anyhow they managed to give a good score. Maybe next time this can be for England.

BCCI also announced cash rewards for both players and support staff. Each player will be getting 4 million and each support staff gets 2.5 million. This is a great gesture by BCCI and I am sure many players from this squad will also get bought by the IPL franchise. Yash dhull has now surely booked his berth in the Indian A team.

We are one week away from the IPL Mega Auction 2022. Approximately 590 cricketers are set to go under the hammer in the upcoming auction. I'm looking forward to seeing who will break the record. I predict Iyer, Cummins, and Warner to be the biggest bidders since at least 3 teams. David Warner will be the highest bidder. ABD has retired from cricket and there will be no IPL 2022 without him.

Each team has enough money. But they are not sure exactly how much money they are willing to spend. Teams have to spend a lot of money on players like Finch, Warner and Villiers. But, I'm interested about Gayle. will Crise Gayle play this season? He is old enough. He is probably 42 years old. But now in the BPL, we are seeing Gayle. Will he also be in IPL?

Last time the top 2 were Chris Morris and Pat Cummins. The auction of players will happen on the 12th & 13th of February. I was checking the list of international players and the top 3 in the list are Faf du Plessis, David Warner and Pat Cummins. I assume Pat Cummins will again lead the list for International players and Iyer for Indian players

And we also can see that even the cricket board are being controlled by non-cricketers or businessmen, right? That's where the actual problem lies.

Have a look at the Bangladesh cricket board for example. Has The President of the Bangladesh cricket board ever played cricket? Like ever?
All I have seen him play is probably blackjack in casinos.  Grin
But, he is the head of the Bangladesh cricket board. Sometimes it actually amazes me that this team is still doing reasonably well.

Anyway, unless people can get out of the habit of chasing money the game is not going to reach people at its best and people are obviously not going to be interested.

Head of board slot is purely for management and you don't need to be a cricketer to occupy that slot. The problem with Bangladesh cricket is something else they failed to prove that they have adequate talent in the country which is playing test for over two decades. There were noticeable names like jagmohan dalmiya they never played cricket.

It does not matter who heads the board regardless of that person is a politician, player or businessman. All that person needs to do is to work for the benefit of cricket and the cricket board. Jagmohan Dalmiya was not just an ordinary businessman. He was a cricketer too and had played for a local cricket club in Kolkatta. Before writing anything about him please check his Wikipedia page, here is the link - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jagmohan_Dalmiya
