I can see that Multan has remained unbeaten so far. And nice to see Islamabad at no.2. Paul Stirling is playing for them and therefore I want them to remain on top. For Multan, everything worked out so far in this season. In the batting department Shan Masood and Mohammad Rizwan were exceptional. And the spin bowling combination of Imran Tahir and Khushdil Shah (along with pacer David Willey) made the difference in the bowling department. They are the defending champions, and looks all set to retain the trophy this time.

Yes, there won't be any objection if BCCI makes an exemption. However when some changes were made to the rules, it can disturb the player selection criteria. If I'm not wrong, the auction is the only place where there is not much of politics. Other than that BCCI is completely a political organization than a sports organization, because it is under the ruling government. For these boards former cricketers need to be elected, now Jay Shah who doesn't have any cricketing background is the secretary of the BCCI. This happened just because he's son of Home affairs minister.

In this early phase of PSL we have some good number of surprises because no one was expecting Karachi will be down and out very early even having some good and experienced players in their franchise. Multan Sultans unbeaten run is also very big shock for all PSL fans specially Multan fans are very excited about these results and current form of Mohammd Rizwan and Shan Masood both are doing great job with Imran Tahir and Khushdil Shah is also surprise package for them, he takes wickets on crucial stages of matches and give great expertise for his team.

Now, Islamabad United and Lahore will fight hard for their better end of this season because for me Karachi and Peshawar both are going down and out from play-offs even it's some early but with current form and position most chances this is going to happen.

Feels bad for Imran Tahir. His cricketing career is almost finished and he never got a real chance to compete at international level in a regular basis. He made his debut for South Africa in his 30s and played just 20 test matches. That was a good move anyway, because if he had stayed in Pakistan then most probably he would have never got a chance to play international cricket. I consider him as one of the best spinners of his era. But unfortunately he was not able to convince this to the Pakistani selectors. At least South Africa gave him a second chance.
