Givson? Is that a knockoff of Gibson or a typo?

Thanks for fucking up my quote and erecting strawmen. Welcome to my ignore list.
3183  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTB] USPS Flate Rate Small Box Postage on: December 10, 2014, 12:51:09 AM
Are you looking for the priority small flat rate boxes like these ?

How many do you need?

@2dogs - 4 postages should be sufficient. LMK.

I was referring to the postage itself. The printer can cost up to $299.99 - no thanks. Yeah, I should order pre-paid postages - sorry if I haven't thought of it.

If you don't want to buy a printer, are there any print shops or libraries in your area that can print PDFs off a flash drive for ~the cost of a single B/W copy? If so, you can print postage to PDF here: https://www.paypal.com/ShipNow if you have the recipients' addresses.

What instructions? Where is the clear recording that evidences instructions were given?

They had the chance to park outside the average accurate range of a pistol and use their PA system while the cover officer pulled the rifle or shotgun out of the center console most marked vehicles seem to have. People in vehicles rarely get life-threatening GSWs from those outside them. If they drove right up to the suspect to expose themselves to hostile fire, they are Darwin Award stupid and it's just a matter of time before a real criminal shoves their suicidal "tactics" up their ass.

This seems like one of too many idiotic OIS where suicidal cops roll right up on the perp and exit the much higher safety of their vehicle to leave no choice but to have to open fire.
3185  Bitcoin / Mycelium / Re: Mycelium Bitcoin Wallet on: December 09, 2014, 09:51:39 PM
I was just contacted, for the first time, through local trader by someone who wants to buy coins from me and something's wrong.  From what I can tell, he doesn't see my chat posts, and I don't see his.  Anyway, he answered my ad yesterday, I entered my phone number in the chat box and said text me.  Nothing.  So this morning, same guy answers my ad again.  I type my phone number and tell him to call or text. Nothing.  I cancel the order from yesterday, because now we're on a new one.  Then I see where it says you "may" get hit with a reputation penalty if you cancel a deal.  May?  Do you or do you not penalize?  What's the deal, does somebody at Mycelium flip a coin to decide whether to penalize each canceled deal?  And shouldn't it be obvious that sometimes you just have to cancel?

Edit:  The guy just answered my ad for the fourth time, and still no communication.  I put my phone number in the ad.
I want to put a stop to this.
Now I have this list of pending deals going nowhere, which I can't cancel for fear of damaging my reputation.  To top it all off, I had to deactivate my ad.

Local Trader needs to have a block function where I can bar clowns like this Leonardo guy.  And allow us to cancel without penalty.

I also have my text number in my ad with instructions in the ad description. Yet my trade history shows 4 stopped the trade, 1 timed out after I pasted the instructions in the chat, and 1 _I_ stopped the trade after they didn't respond to my reply.

I know they see the description when they click on the ad...

2- The firearms situation is just ridiculous, the situation is mainly due to the ease of circulation of firearms and the ease of getting one....

Only "easy" to get a gun on the black market, not legally, so everyone with a gun and not a uniform is by default assumed to be a criminal. If law-abiding, sane victims were not "gun controlled" out of our human right to self-defense, LEOs would be forced to select murder victims more carefully, or get lead poisoning from victims/good Samaritans.

Firemen dont drive around looking for fires... Ambulance dont drive around looking for hurt people...
Fireman go out when someone or something is on fire... Ambulance go out when some one is sick and need fast ride to hospital...

Cop drives around looking for victimless crimes... Cops should only be dispatched when a crime has been commited against someone or someones property.

The cop's job is to go around looking for people breaking the law. The people that come around after someone has broken the law are the paramedics and the insurance adjusters. If cops are only dispatched after a crime has been committed every crime would be able to be committed without being caught in the act.

Who is going to knowingly commit a crime in front of a cop? Nobody; the theory of a uniform and marked vehicle patrol is deterrence via identification. Almost every crime lasting fewer than 5 minutes is committed without being caught, by uniformed police (who take minutes to arrive because we cannot afford to pay for a 1:1 cop:civilian ratio in any society), in the act.

If cops were plainclothed (and law-abiding sane civilians were armed), criminals with self-preservation instincts (99.9% of them) would have to view everyone as a possible threat, and only risk targeting victims who don't seem to be able to conceal a carry weapon, when nobody else is around.
3189  Economy / Services / Re: Send an email for 1 mbit on: December 09, 2014, 08:11:27 AM
His bitmessage client is definitely running, but at this point it seems like overkill to try to debug what's going wrong. He decided to try to use Tor and one of the anonymous email sending services TheButterZone linked to and send the 1mbit to TheButterZone (using the BTC address on your profile page).

This was partly an experiment to see if such a bitmessage/carrier pigeon/email protocol is realistic. I guess it isn't.

Thanks. I seem to remember some topic about Bitmessage and TOR... has anyone been able to get instant results between behind-TOR and non-TOR Bitmessage clients?

Do nothing, wait until it falls down to $1, then buy.

IIRC USPS also sells prepaid postage labels for flat rate boxes, you just write on whatever address. Those are probably delayed.

Labels delayed?

Or boxes delayed?

OP needs to clarify.
Pretty sure he means either the prepaid boxes, or regular free boxes. Printable shipping labels don't really get delayed.

PrintED shipping labels of just the postage, tracking number, address blank, don't?

Good, you have bought into the illusion that our votes count, and not those who count the votes.

If voting could change anything for the better of everyone, it would be a capital offense.

You're cynical, it's ok, it's understandable. Government, more specifically politicians, give us a lot to be jaded about.

But, you're wrong (I say this with respect).

The system is driven by the vote. If we organized the ballot measure (which isn't hard) and the people voted for it the government would be legally required to enforce it.

How do you think the recreational use of marijuana becomes LEGAL in Colorado, Washington, Oregon, and Washington D.C.?

It's not a capital offense, it's the People's system. It's beautiful. It only has one flaw, people have to organize and vote for it.

Of course MJ was allowed to pass! The government can rake in fucktons of taxes from it, while still killing and maiming victimless criminals like Eric Garner who don't pay the piper. Elections are decided in the government's best interest, not peasants'. The only way to deny this is to claim implicit armed robbery and innocent bloodshed under color of law are doubleplusgood.

Loving these new Baili Super Stainless/Blue DE blades (but would still rather not to have any hair to shave at all). They are almost paper-thin, and compared to Derby Extra, seem to keep an edge longer. 200 for $11.75 can't be beat.
