No one is seriously invested in it.
Wrong. Litecoin's market cap = $68,152,758 usd I know of people that hold 100,000+ coins

You should enter these into a spreadsheet.
- have a column for each update - also a column with the averages - a nice graph with the average at the bottom
Good idea btw,

Hi all! I am looking for a trustworthy forum member to setup, design, and develop a simple web site to sell physical Litecoins at. I am very serious about this project and am moving into the manufacturing stage of the first batch of coins, therefore I need to get a website setup to sell them on! I need someone that can do both the design and the development. I am not too concerned about the website looking all pretty and fancy, I just want it to work. Rough draft design of the physical Litecoins: Web Site Requirements:- Accept Litecoin for payment - Automatically calculate shipping costs - A way to keep track of orders placed in an easy to read and secure manner Bonus Points:- Automatically load the physical Litecoins when someone buys one. (I will provide a text file with the addresses with private keys redacted.) - An easy way to create shipping labels My budget is about $1500usd, with a little wiggle room to work with. This can be payed via either Bitcoins or Litecoins. Please submit all questions and correspondence in this thread. Feel free to submit a bid if you can meet all the requirements. Thanks, Ch

Ah, there's nothing more refreshing than waking up and seeing your LTCs worth almost double than when you went to sleep. Suck it FC!

BIG RED candle on BTC-e after a BIG GREEN candle LOL

When will you be adding Litecoin (LTC) to Mt. Gox? Soon. We were planning on doing so two weeks ago, but events derailed that plan. Right now we are focused on overall stability of the exchange, and will launch LTC when we are ready. Otherwise we could be further complicating things.
We knew this nothing new. Yes... but this is an actual press release! There will be news articles on LTC going to Gox, there will be price increases... there's already a huge green candle on BTC-e.

You overpaid a bit more for 179 chips in total - that can go towards the shipping (from OP to you) if you want.
Sure, going towards shipping is fine. Thanks John!

Well, I only have some change to spare, but I'll throw you what I mined since I sent in the last funds.
What is the exact cost per chip including fees? (so I don't mess up this time!)
1.0744 will net you 13 chips, so do the math. =) (0.08264615384615384615384615384615~ per chip) Alternatively, just take a look at prior pledges in the spreadsheet and you'll get a pretty good idea of the amount. I cant is do mathz... Sending in 1.90087 for 23 chips transaction ID: 2316ef128b494f20173cb2feb58f16e2e5505eb3f9cc1b37a9f55a6ecbc6a523 https://blockchain.info/tx/2316ef128b494f20173cb2feb58f16e2e5505eb3f9cc1b37a9f55a6ecbc6a523oops forgot to sign it, but I sent from the same address as last time hopefully that's ok! Thanks

CoinHoarder did you think about listening the group buy at bitfunder? Ukto would love to welcome you to bitfunder and it would be muuuch easier to pay dividends no fees for users to buy shares, or to get dividends This is a possibility, right now I'm doing everything myself. I think everyone's fine with it, it's easy for them to keep track of how much they paid in and how many shares they should have. So far I haven't messed up the numbers yet when it comes to share transfers and how much each person owns. I am doing things in a very transparent way, and a simple Excel worksheet can do wonders. When it comes time for me to pay dividends if any problems arise I will definitely look to using an exchange. But, for now we have everything planned out using open source software for dividend payments (sharebitcoins https://github.com/csjones/sharebitcoins). Cheers, Ch

Yes, it's first-come-first-serve at the moment.
So... if I sent in more BTC, I could get more chips?

ETA of Physical Litecoins: ~1 month to 1.5 months Sweet... I probably shouldn't of said that. That's me not learning from BFL's mistakes. 4-6 weeks guys!

I wanted to thank everyone for voting and for your feedback in this thread and my other thread. It seems that there is enough interest to enter production. I have selected the quotes from the companies I chose to make the coins and holograms, I am just negotiating the details with them. I will start an official thread for the project soon with an organized OP explaining more about the manufacturing process. I will try to be very transparent in the whole process, you guys must trust that I have the best interest for Litecoin at heart and would never intentionally scam anyone. Private keys will be destroyed more than effectively three times over, you can be sure of this. ETA of Physical Litecoins: ~1 month to 1.5 months I'm excited, I hope you guys are too. I am happy to be involved in a project that will hopefully be mutually beneficial to all Litecoiners. Cheers, Ch

I agree it seems Batch 3 will be late. How late? I'm not sure... They did invest in quicker production equipment, so I think after they get this up and going then they can deliver Batch 2 and 3 in half the time it took them to deliver Batch 1 (so Batch 2 and 3 delivered in about a month and a half).
I'm guessing BFL will run into their own problems when it comes to mass producing and assembling their ASICs as well. Notice it seems they could only make about 4-5 Jalapenos a day for the past two days. I definitely expect this to increase a lot, but how soon and what quantity I'm not sure there either.
It's anyone's ballgame right now. Avalon or BFL could hit it out of the park.
My money is still on Avalon.. BFL has proven themselves inept.

They have a pretty good rep in the Bitcoin community,
Hahaha...you're joking with this, right? They are a plague on the bitcoin community. Well... they do handle 80% of all Bitcoin trading, the Bitcoin market cap is about 1.5 Billion dollars right now. I'd say if they didn't have a good rep, then they would not be the most popular exchange because people wouldn't want to use their service. Whether that is a good or a bad thing they control 80%... I agree its a bad thing. Price can be affected by the exchange's uptime/downtime/ddos rate/getting hacked/etc... I am a big fan of decentralization, so we need more good exchanges.

The swarm of locusts is more like a trickle of water from a leaking faucet:
"Monday 4/22 shipped 4 Jalapenos. 1 Customer and 3 developer units.
Tuesday 4/23 3 more to ship today to customers."

Also, a more important question is if Mt Gox is ready for the new trading band width once LTC is introduced?
I think this is what the delay is. They can hardly keep up with all the BTC traffic, much less add another currency without upgrading their infrastructure.
