You need to do plenty of research to verify the identities of the main personnel behind the ICO. check out all of their social media profiles all of which should be more than 12 months old with a lengthy relevant history behind them. My experience tells me that Ethereum tracks the movements in Bitcoin pretty much step for step, the only difference being the size of the movements in percentage terms. We are still enduring the same market conditions that we have since late January this year. The whole market is in a bear phase and everything is still being driven by the price of Bitcoin as it moves up and down in the channel from $6,100 to $9,300. Until it has recovered and broken above the top of the channel then do not expect and solid recovery from the altcoins. They will rise and fall in line with BTC.

Yesterday we saw some pretty heavy losses in percentage terms with most of the altcoins down around 15 - 20% on the back of everything else I hope that was the final drop for this year and the market now reverses. Crypto drew a lot of interest with the massive increase in the value of the market and Bitcoin during 2017, this retrace will have recked most people that were fully loaded at the top of the market. I have been trying to pick out some bargains at these levels but it needs a strong stomach.

At this moment in time I think you can safely invest in either Bitcoin or Altcoins and as soon as the market turns positive and resumes a Bear phase you should reap some decent profits. I don't see it as a threat to Bitcoin whatsoever, in terms of a single unit of each I don't think the price of Ethereum will ever come close to that of Bitcoin. Bitcoin is now seen as a store of value whereas Ethereum is mostly seen as the currency for ICO or a platform for ERC-20 coins to launch from.

As soon as the market turns again you stand a great chance of increasing your stake by 50% - 100%, if this is your first time to invest I think a lot of people would wish they were in your position.
