321  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin To Drop As Low As $1000 This Year on: December 15, 2018, 08:16:44 PM
I'm surprised that these idiots actually made an almost correct prediction. With just a couple of weeks to go it still might go down lower than $3000 and push past that stubborn resistance. My prediction is $2500 at the end of the year
322  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Time to invest or wait ? on: December 15, 2018, 08:15:04 PM
You can risk waiting for a few weeks and see if it goes even lower, but you might the entry point. Anytime now is a good time when you think about how things will progress. Buy real estate after your coins have pumped enough to buy a nice apartment
323  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This is the FINAL on: December 15, 2018, 08:13:12 PM
This is why there are many projects on hold, some try to carry on and it is likely that they have private investors. However, for an ICO with no backers and just relying on people throwing some ethereum into the hat, they are unlikely to succeed

325  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum lowest price on: December 07, 2018, 11:16:24 PM
Hard to believe it has fallen below $100 but the whales are still buying so they must feel like ethereum actually has a future. However, i think it is better to pick cardano and tezos which will much better than ethereum when they are released
326  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-12-05] Bitcoin Price On Track for Biggest Yearly Loss on Record on: December 05, 2018, 07:09:49 PM
It's not just the amount of loss but the speed at which things suddenly went pear shaped. It suddenly plummeted around 50% in a week, so if you were abroad with no access to your accounts then you would have no chance to sell or switch to stablecoins
327  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-12-03]Crypto Mining Malware has Become a New Way of Tricking Innocent User on: December 04, 2018, 08:23:19 PM
Although these are nasty they are not as nasty as a crypto locker virus. I think we'd all prefer it if criminals focused on this instead as it is still profitable for them but in a less destructive way for the end users.
328  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you always invest in top ranked coins? on: December 04, 2018, 08:20:14 PM
Top ranked coins are safer as people will continue to invest in them first, but it won't rise as much as the lower market cap coins. However, these are very hit and miss so you need to get lucky with the low end CMC coin of your choice
329  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-12-03] Bitcoin Mining Difficulty Saw its Second-Largest Drop in History on: December 04, 2018, 08:16:07 PM
It is a shift in that way that bitcoins are being mined. It can't be done from a standard company setup, miners have to look at other countries with lower energy costs possibly via renewable fuels. When the miners setup elsewhere the difficulty will rise again
330  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH: Deep crash before going to the moon? on: December 04, 2018, 08:13:11 PM
Ethereum 2.0 is a make or break time for ethereum. They know that their reign at the top is coming to an end and it's not just ripple that is pushing them down. Other platforms like Cardano and Tezos will slowly make their way up while ethereum continues going down the marketcap rankings
331  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-11-29]Bulgarian Local Police Arrested 3 Men in $5M Crypto CyberTheft on: December 02, 2018, 12:35:26 PM
It's great to hear when this happens because ti shows that these criminals who try to hack and steal crypto are not completely immune and they will eventually be found. hopefully it will make others think twice before committing a similar offense
332  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-12-1]Satoshi Nakamoto's P2P Profile Makes New Post, Befriends User on: December 02, 2018, 12:32:03 PM
Although we all know it is from a hacked account it is good to know that whoever it is, is simply telling us that there is light at the end of the tunnel. After this bear market is over there will be an exponential rise in crypto values.
333  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-12-01] Bitcoin declines below $4k level to signal the return of the bears on: December 02, 2018, 12:28:17 PM
If those idiots responsible for bitcoin cash do not regret their actions then we should stop buying bitcoin cash and make sure they understand that this will not be tolerated by the community anymore. No more BCH of any variation
334  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-12-01]Google Searches for Bitcoin Rise Again, While the Crypto Market Goes on: December 02, 2018, 12:23:29 PM
The sudden drop was kind of shocking and coincided with the bitcoin cash war. It is the only thing that could have caused it due to a lack of FUD and hacks. The google searches indicate that is at least a strong interest in bitcoin even if it's just an explanation of what happened
335  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-12-02]Crypto Custody? State Street Is Waiting on a Client Shift, Exec Says on: December 02, 2018, 12:19:44 PM
They are looking for something safe as the stock market is not looking particularly good right now. Perhaps this new temporary halt between the US and China for their trade war will help the markets to recover, and crypto with it
336  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-12-01] Bitcoin Price Falls Under $4,000: Was Immediate Pullback Expected on: December 01, 2018, 10:49:59 AM
It was an easy bull trap for the manipulators to make a few extra bitcoin, sad when they are still punishing the investors who are already reeling at these low prices. I'm trying to accumulate so hoping that the bear market lasts a few more months
337  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-11-10] Bitmain Releases Antminer S15: How it Stacks Up Against Competitors on: December 01, 2018, 10:47:51 AM
There are a lot of articles how miners are selling their gear and giving up due to the price drop, but i think it is due to to bitmain releasing this new product. Mining efficiency is the key to long term survival and they need to step up to stay competitive
338  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-11-23] Lawsuit Claims Bitmain Mined Bitcoin Using Customer Devices on: November 26, 2018, 06:43:19 PM
I think the article refers to the initialisation process after it has been purchased and set up at the customer bases where the equipment has to setup and initialised. This contributes hashing to the bitmain company for a short time before it can be used by the customer
339  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-11-26]Thailand Shows Crypto Can Win Adoption Amidst Junta Government on: November 26, 2018, 06:39:33 PM
Other stats showed that Argentina had a very high trading volume, one the highest in the world (apart from the U.S etc.). For Thailand to open it's doors to crypto would mean a flood of new crypto millionaires moving across the border enjoying a new life by the beach
340  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-11-26] Venture Capitalist: Be Patient With Crypto, Amazon Took 8 Years to on: November 26, 2018, 06:37:10 PM
Luckily next bitcoin halving is not too far off so within 2 years we should see the start of a bull run. It just means we have a year to accumulate as many cheap coins as possible before the next big pump. If Amazon decides to accept bitcoin then it be even sooner
