It's been a while  Well.. i am back home - sort of and going to restart working on VM 3.0 (still dont plan on restarting the game). In the course of action i will add some totally new ideas and some older ones will get a new painting... About the shares: seems like the 10/1 shares were paid according to the amount of shares and dividend existing: almost all the shares were on one persons account and there was 0 BTC to be divided Sorry for being unavailable for such a long while now and for continuing to be unavailable, but real life has really some higher importance at the moment. |

Well, basically the shares get paid on the 1st of every month at 12am. but since the cronjob glitched last time and i had to fire it up manually it didnt work this time perfectly.. and the bigger BUT (no pun intended) is that i am going to rewrite the whole thing when i am back in germany (still i am at the ass end of texas (the world??)) to change it towards some somewhat fairer system..
I thought about increasing the amount of shares to "unlimited" but making them more expensive in tiers or with some function.. i would like to have a sys like
< 1000 shares = .2x todays value
< 2500 shares = .5x todays value
< 5000 shares = 1x todays value
< 7500 shares = 1.5x todays value
< 10000 shares = 2x todays value
< 15000 shares = 2.5x todays value
> ....
Or any other suggestions?

Yeah, there seemed to have been some glitch in the code with the shares... AND someone bought them all for this month.
When i am back home i will reconstruct that part of the game a bit so its a bit fairer...

When do you pay dividends for the shares?
Was supposed to be 1 September  looks like the cronscript glitched. I will try to fix IT asap but Please Have patience : i am on phone 99 per Cent of the time atm and 10000km from my Computer *edit* Ok, was able to use my laptop for a minute today and fixed the share script. Sorry for that, there was a typo in the script that prevented execution. Its fixed now. |

Small update from San Francisco: No, there is no way of selling rigs back. Working on something here on my free time for a future update of Virtualminer.. might end up in Virtualminer 3.0 And no... no game restart planned for that. |

Newsletter 08/24/12 Hi,
Some of you might have noticed an unscheduled downtime on August 23rd when the game was unavailable for almost 48hrs. Mining was suspended in that time and so were deposits etc. Long story short: My linux died in a most horrible way.
Just to inform you: The game is up and running again and i had to make a rollback of just a few seconds. Nothing was lost or reverted.
I also took the opportunety to change some minor stuff. I lowered the minimum trade volume to 0.000001 BTC (was 0.0001 before) and added a special and highly limited 5vTH miner to the game. The miner will be available only until September 24th and then removed from the buyable parts forever.
Thats it for a while...

IM grunde reicht doch schon ein Google Docs spreadsheet, dass von einem oder mehreren Usern aktuell gehalten wird.. man bräuchte nicht mit Kanonen auf spatzen schiessen.
Wie gesagt, wenn mein Flug nicht am WOchenende ginge und ich nicht die nächsten Wochen offline wäre würde ich das sofort machen.

Gute Idee. Wie wärs mit dir? Gerne, wenn wir noch einige Monate drauf warten können - bin leider zur Zeit zu sehr durch RL zeitlich eingeschränkt (und in den nächsten 5 bis 6 wochen nicht online). |
