Trying to launch miner on my 1070ti rig, it doesn't work, miner crash.
French  ? You should have allocated an windows swap file of at least 8GB per card (yes it makes a lot). Prefer a permanent swap file (put the same values in the initial and max text boxes, it makes it permanent and not dynamically allocated). https://snag.gy/M2nFrp.jpgNot enough space on the 60GB SSD to create 40GB swap file ( 5 cards ), it's actually 32GB. On RX, if we are talking about ETH, 75-85w per gpu is a software measure. In real, ETH takes 120-140w per gpu ...

Trying to launch miner on my 1070ti rig, it doesn't work, miner crash. With standard config file, without parameter or with -h, same result : miner crash. It displays the firsts header lines and crash. No problem on my RX rigs. Maybe a missing library ? Thanks for your help.  |

So, when I got into cryptos from forex and cfd's I had some spare money to waste!
So as a computer hardware and newborn crypto enthusiast I decided to build my own farm!
And now for some Pros and Cons!
Setup: RX480 x3, i3-3220.
Miner: MultiMiner
Pros:
1)Some passive income
2)Just cool thing to have.
Cons:
1) Noise ( it is frustrating you cannot do anything with it, even if you close the door, it is almost vibrating through the air)
2) Dust ( it sweevels dust around like crazy, imagine cleaning your appartment every 2 days)
3) Hardware falure ( probably the most frustrating part about mining) i had 2 PSU's that just gave up on me, this doubles the waste of your money, first of all you need to buy a new one and waste your time searching for it.
In conclusion, it was a good run but I am no longer mining, 20$ a month with all electrical bills and cons of this system is just not enough for me to continue this journey Grin
What do you think about mining? Is it still alive for enthusiasts with no thousands of dollars in their pockets?

Defaut vardiff is too high.
We can see big hashrates with lots of shares sent at low fixed diff, that is possible with nvidia miner I suppose.
I'm using the AMD miner with very poor fixed diff possibility, and the minimal value is already too high.
