321  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GPU mining will die in 2018! on: March 30, 2018, 12:53:12 AM
I purchase some coin today  I will  see if  I buy some tomorrow.

People do these mistakes, or they want to buy very low which the price never gets to and when they buy it then they want to sell very high, two common mistakes. Well people will have to buy at some point cause is already very low.

Just picked up some sub $400 ETH today.  Everything is "on sale" right now.
Thats one way of looking at it  Everything is "on sale" right now
322  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Looking for a rig frame on: March 30, 2018, 12:08:08 AM
You can build the BBT 6 GPU open air mining frame below for about $40 out of two 8ft pieces of 1/8" x 3/4" angled aluminum, one 8 ft 1" x 3" piece of pine, one 4ft 1" x 1" piece of pine and #8 1/2" self-tapping screws. You can also build it out of all wood if you want to save some money.

6 GPU Frame (Dimension 21" W x 15 3/4"" D x 10 3/4" H):

Build Cuts:

For the Angled Aluminum:

-First 8ft (96") Angled Aluminum; .75 inch of waste

4x 15 3/4" cuts (63" use) (Case Depth)
3x 10 3/4" cuts (32.25" use) (Case Height)

-Second 8ft (96") Angled Aluminum; 1.25 inch of waste

4x 21" cuts (84" use) (Case Width)
1x 10 3/4" (10 3/4" use) (Case Height)

And for the wood:

-8ft 1x3 Pine (96"); 2 inch of waste:

6 cuts of 15 3/4" (94" use) (Case Bottom)

-4 ft 1x1 Pine (24" left over):

1 cut of 21" (21" use) (Card Bracket Support)

Thats pretty much how I build my rigs it cost $25 at home depot for the aluminum I cut it to size drill and rivet it takes me about 20 mins and maintenance is easy I blow my cards and motherboard out every other week because everything is so easy to get to

Are the older r9 cards supported or just rx cards
324  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's CryptoNote AMD GPU Miner v11.2 on: March 29, 2018, 07:03:56 PM
^^^ 9.7 uses the OpenCL drivers from whatever drivers you have installed, 11.2 uses custom assembler binaries I believe.

Also I'd like to know if the new XMR algo is going to be implemented in a timely release?

Same here. I'm hoping to get my miners up and ready before the fork.

I don't know about you but I'm excited about all the ASICs and botnets getting BTFO.
I can't wait either it's about time these asic manufacturers get screwed only a few get to buy asic at a reasonable price and even those ppl are getting equipment bitmain had running for a month or two in their farm
325  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bminer: a fast Equihash miner for CUDA GPUs (6.0.0) on: March 28, 2018, 12:04:44 PM
I just tried bminer and I'm getting better rates than I was with dstm with the same clocks so I'm going to let it run for a day and see if it's stable

327  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: DAG to big for 1060 3g on windows on: March 23, 2018, 11:49:38 AM
Ok so in Linux ior win 7 3gb cards can still mine etc and eth thats good to know Thanks
328  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Baikal Giant N - Cryptonight, Cryptonight-lite FPGA/ASIC miner on: March 15, 2018, 10:46:28 PM
Ya Sia wanted asics they where just pissed because bitmain shit on them with the pre-orders they already sold for ibelink
But here's my problem with asics the average miner can't buy them at a reasonable price you either need to no someone or willing to spend a lot or you either waiting till that particular asic will hardly ROI or pay out the ass on eBay so fuck asic manufacturers they are turning crypto into being centralized
329  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Hive OS - new Linux GPU mining platform on: March 12, 2018, 09:28:52 PM
Can anyone tell me how to make this xmr-stak cpu mining config work in hiveos I tried the using the example in wallet setting but didn't work here is my conf
"cpu_threads_conf" :
[
       { "low_power_mode" : true, "no_prefetch" : false, "affine_to_cpu" : 1 },
       { "low_power_mode" : false, "no_prefetch" : false, "affine_to_cpu" : 3 },

use xmrig
Thats what I did now the problem I have or bug I dont know on my amd rig the first gpu says 448280w for watts but the rest look fine how do I fix this

I also haven't received my tokens and pm'd the dev twice once forwarding the original pm with all the donation info than a second a week later it's been weeks
333  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is GPU Mining Still Profitable? Should YOU Build a Mining Rig? GPU Mining Dead? on: March 05, 2018, 03:18:04 AM
Yes, it is alive, if build your rig with gtx 1070ti ( which is very balanced with it features, imho) you can get about 3-4 $ per card depend on the coin and difficulity..
So I guess the current ROI time is about 6 month which is rather ok...

Not true. Half that amount according to whattomine. Below $1.83 after electric or $2.26 before electric cost for zcash. Plus irs taxes it as income right away and also later if you cash out further gains later. It's about $1 a day per gpu. Not worth baby sitting your rig . Mining is for losers. Best to buy coins especially now while prices are depressed

I mine and what a dumb mistake, I can't even go on vacation. Only good thing is that gpu went up in value. So far that's where the real money is at.
I don't know I make money not a lot I'm not a big miner but I only cash out when needed or when the price is up and as far as rigs mine have been running stable for months I have bat files setup to start with my miners and all rigs are set to start if the power goes out than back on which hardly happens I also have remote desktop setup if there's internet where I am I can change shit if I want you have to overclock and under volt just enough when you push it to much than they crash
334  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Hive OS - new Linux GPU mining platform on: March 02, 2018, 06:12:00 PM
I'm looking for a good amd os and I like the way hiveos is setup but I have two questions first can I set different clocks if I have a rig with mixed cards and the second for the same rig with mixed cards can I set different -dcri values I'm asking because my 570's settings are different than my 470's
335  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ETC] Ethereum Classic: Immutable Smart Contracts on: March 01, 2018, 05:26:33 PM
Can I get a calisto in my wallet MEW?
Yes its best to keep your ETC in a wallet you control the private key for Coinomi mobile wallet announced they will support the airdrop you also have full control of the private keys for any of there supported coins they have a tool you can use to backup your private keys I don't trust exchanges at all I put what I'm trading in there and nothing more every time a hack happens your hear ppl bitching they lost all their coins well keep them off the exchanges

edit: here's a link from ETC forum https://forum.ethereumclassic.org/t/callisto-network-information-create-new-topic/533

All the fans on my gigabyte windforce 270's shit the bed I was going to start using them again until the gpu prices go down but I'll have to cob some fans on them so agreed gigabyte fans suck

Just got to try the new CHOSN os it's freaking awesome you'll be able to control your rigs from the web which is being finished up now the auto overclocking works great Poisonxa is doing a great job and willing to help out if your having issues with your rig

339  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v11.1 (Windows/Linux) on: February 28, 2018, 01:26:48 PM
Are there ANY coins worth dual mining now?
Nope. I went back to mining exclusively ETH.
Any second coin you try to mine costs you more in electricity currently. Not worth it. Want a secondary coin? Buy it.

Spot on. Ethash mining only is the way forward for right now.
Especially when these pool are only paying half of what your supposed to get when connected for the full 24hrs if lucky, with their shitty servers it can't handle the load so my 2nd coin is pool hopping on my rigs
340  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore Nodevfee v11.0 for windows based system on: February 26, 2018, 02:07:50 AM
Really does the whole 1.5% dev fee really mean this much to ppl that their willing to get their system hacked or pay more than the claymore fee first if your hacks are so good code your own FUCKING miner 2nd if your this cheap either use -nofee 1 or STOP MINING
