Same problem..what gives?

Actually most modern ATX power supplies are autoswitching, and can take anywhere from 90V to 250V or so.
I just plugged my GPU miner with it's regular Antec PSU right into my outlet that I had wired up for 240V and turned it on. No magic smoke came out, just hashes.
If in doubt, the label on the side of the power supply will indicate acceptable input voltage(s).
This is also kinda what I was pointing out. You want to jury rig your 70k investment with improper wiring that's fine. i.e. wiring a 110v receptacle's for 220v.....BRILLIANT! /done with trying to be nice to idiots with their heads up their asses.

REGARDLESS
As stated before....use whats between your ears. Have you looked into 220v power supplies? Have you looked into the different connectors between 110v and 220v? Sure you can plug your stove or washing machine into a 220v receptacle....most computers(i.e. power supplies)? Not so much. You want to argue and defend this post..fine..I have no problem with what the OP is doing....I was just pointing out that there might be something that was overlooked that could end up being a problem.

Hello all,
I am newer to bitcoin but would like to start networking with others of like interest in the Seattle area. I just started mining recently and I love it. The whole concept behind bitcoin is very appealing to me. I plan on investing heavily(for my income :p) into hardware over the next 6 months to a year as ASIC's become available. I would like to explore business ideas that could be brought to the Seattle area. Anyways...open to pretty much anything.
thanks

Nitpick #1 use spell check. there(their?) other thoughts... Lets go thru all the trouble to develop and support a decentralized currency and now that we have it up and running lets centralize it in big data centers!

7 * 650w = 4550w or 4.55KW so basically half his available wattage...if nothing else was run off that service. I was just trying to point out some possible problems that might come up. I wish everyone the best of luck with this endeavor. He's running them on 220v No...he WILL be hoping he can run them on 220v..it really depends on what powersupply you have... Just be aware...I posted in this thread because I saw what I felt where some legit questions that had not been addressed by the OP.

It would be ok if I had a bigger slice of the pie! zif The only problem I see is that a small number of people are ending up with a majority of the wealth...just as we have in fiat.

trying what? just hoping you have thought things thru and not just have dollars signs flashing thru your head. Watts= voltage X amps At 120 volt total watts would be 2400 at 20 amps. Code states that circuit conductors that are fed by this breaker on a continuous load can only be loaded to 80%. #12 wire rated at 20 amps, derated to 16 amps continuous = 16 x 120 = 1920 watts, #10 wire rated at 30 amps derated to 24 amps continuous = 24 x 120 = 2880 watts. On load calculations this derate should be taken into consideration. To maintain the required wattage needed for the load the wire size and/or the next size breaker may be needed. prepare to be suprised is all im sayin. http://www.nojolt.com/load_calculations.shtml

lol...hmmmm...reality is so harsh....
wonders how these 6...possible 7 avalons at 650watts apiece are going to get power from a 4Kw residential service...
open your brain folks

Someone must pay taxes on this income. This is complicated and evolving. If you are anonymous, I will deduct approximately 30% (to be determined) and give it to the IRS. If you provide your name, street address, email address, telephone number, and tax ID, and sign this information with the same address that I send payment to I will not deduct for taxes. I will fulfill any legal and tax obligations that I have in this area, including those I learn about in the future. I would think you only have to pay taxes if you exchanged it to fiat? Till its converted its not really income is it?

Get used to the newb haters around here...they are a tough crowd. CW says that when using a wallet you should use a "unique" address for every transaction. Meaning the address you posted was probably the 1st one you generated and is a "personal" address. You should have generated a new one for this particular deal. And do so for each future deal as well.

Ive had good luck with Sapphire products in the past. That being said I am running a Powercolor 7950 atm for mining..its a good card but needs better cooling. Im thinking about ordering that sapphire myself for a 2nd miner...let me know what you think. zif
