321  Economy / Speculation / Re: US Government DUMPING Bitcoin on: April 03, 2023, 02:45:29 PM
The US government has recently sold 9,800 Bitcoins and plans to sell the remaining from 41,500 Bitcoins that were seized from Silk Road. Despite some media outlets misrepresenting the situation as intentional dumping, it's important to note that these are confiscated coins being gradually sold to manage the market price. The US government is actively liquidating Silk Road's Bitcoins and will continue to do so throughout the year.

We sometimes need to read about scams such as these in order to educate the readers about how to avoid such incidents in the future. This scam idea is not new and I don't fall for it.
323  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: April 02, 2023, 08:43:24 PM
after the 0-2 against aston villa and almost 7 months on the bench, fc chelsea has sacked coach Graham Potter. on sunday evening, 'the blues' announced the separation from the 47-yo coach, who won just seven of his 22 premier league games...

The end of the long wait Chelsea fans had previously voiced for Potter to leave and now that it has happened because of his poor performance against Aston Villa, is this the only coach in 7 months short notice for Potter?

Julian Nagelsmann is currently still in internal talks and this can be confirmed from Fabrizio, maybe there will be some relief if the Chelsea management can find someone better than Potter.

If Julian Nagelsmann happened to Chelsea maybe this would be encouraging too.
It looks like for now Chelsea fans are genuinely relieved after Potter's dismissal. he showed nothing during his tenure and only made Chelsea worse. Hopefully this will also be a lesson for Todd not to be too hasty when dismissing a great coach like Tuchel.

On the other hand at the moment Nagelsmann is indeed one of the real talks but with this they also have to fight with Tottenham because Tottenham also want his services at this time. The worst thing is that they are also preparing to face Madrid and with a new coach they really need to move a bit quicker now.
Although it may not be relevant in this case, all these owners are uncaring about the ages of their employees, and some employees may have trouble controlling their emotions if their employers push them around too much. Regardless of the circumstances surrounding Tuchel's dismissal, the fans like him. In the case of football, the game responds to the wishes of the fans because they are direct customers. It is my hope that Tuchel won't repeat the same fracas with the Bayern board as he did during his previous employment. Nagelsman is not my choice especially as Tuchel replaces him

327  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China banking crisis pointer to Bitcoin credibility on: March 28, 2023, 07:21:56 PM

Yesterday, several papers reported on China's secret plans to quietly court bitcoin through Hong Kong. There are some who believe that the decision is a result of the recent bad relations between China and the United States. What direction should this news lead?

328  Economy / Economics / Re: Binance CZ sued on: March 28, 2023, 12:05:09 PM
According to the CFTC (USA), Binance has a 'secret' in-house trading desk with 300 accounts, Nothing rules out other US exchange from being investigated, so basically Binance is no different from Bitmex. If Bitmex does or did this, Binance shouldn't be crucified.
329  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Let's not be too judgemental about CZ (Binance) on: March 28, 2023, 11:18:54 AM
Our current trading environment is similar to 2019. While the news and target may not be the same, they have a similar impact on the market, which I believe is the goal
2019: - Cut rates three times by October - Started expanding the balance sheet in September. As a result of the 83% decline from the ATH and 500 days before the half-doubling in 2020, the price bottoms out

Yep, this news is circulating everywhere on telegram right now. Im getting spammed. Well, I dont clearly get the meaning of "sued" here. Does this mean cz going to jail or something ? I hope not.

Cz just tweeted "4" 15mins ago. Another mystery. My heads gonna burst lol.
Edit:
Well 4 means this I guess

FUD does not mean that the story is not real. It is merely panic-induced behavior by investors and traders. I had many news like this at the beginning of the market that went nowhere, later it looked like a strategy to dump and some whales accumulated at cheap prices.  So much of it is now going through the same regulatory agencies in the United States, like the Securities and Exchange Commission. The US government has benefited from the space so much.
331  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Let's not be too judgemental about CZ (Binance) on: March 27, 2023, 03:19:29 PM
There is a breaking story about Binance and its founder CZ being sued by the CFTC for regulatory violations. The incensant pursuit of cryptocurrency personal is disturbing, and it is unclear what the USA's plans are for the market.
332  Economy / Economics / Re: Elon Musk and the fall of Twitter on: March 26, 2023, 09:40:41 PM
About 4.9% of Twitter's shares were owned by Musk as of 2021, which represented approximately 22.4 million shares. Considering his frequent purchase and sale of shares of various companies, it's possible that his ownership stake has changed since then. It's likely, however, that Musk's opinions and actions will have some impact on public discourse and political discussions, given his high profile and influence as the CEO of several prominent companies. In addition to affecting his business, this involvement seems to have a negative impact on it in the future.
333  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion Thread || Current Topic: AFCON 2023 QUALIFIERS. on: March 26, 2023, 09:25:06 PM
Could it be true that a stadium has anything to do with the Nigerian team's success, especially on their home soil? It is also believed that homegrown coaches are not capable of winning on the big stage. Is there a difference between countries using indigenous coaches in foreign countries and countries that use foreign coaches.
Nigeria had opportunities to score but were ultimately unable to find the back of the net, resulting in their defeat. I sort of blame the pitch for the loss. You may disagree but  I noticed the grass on the pitch as too high compared to other pitches. They need to carry out regular maintenance on the pitch. Who else noticed that the grass almost swallowed the boots of the players. If affected the players firing range. One other thing is that the Nigerian team lacked understanding and team work was lacking. I don't blame them though because they need more time to play together for better understanding to ensue.
It is expected that the team and staff will analyse and discuss the game in detail, including a report on what caused the defeat, which should include the pitch's condition. Almost all Nigeria players play in leagues with better pitches, and you bring them to a pitch that favours the opponent. Leadership still plays a crucial role in this, as they don't require success from everyone appointed
334  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Tax Avoidance Possible legally with Bitcoin? on: March 25, 2023, 07:42:13 PM
The OP did not mention where he is from due to the fact that tax laws differ by country, and non-residents may still be required to pay taxes on income earned foreign land even if they are not residents. In many countries, there are tax treaties that prevent double taxation, which means that, depending on the details of the tax treaty, someone who earns income in one country but resides in another country may still be required to pay taxes in both countries.
335  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the biggest problem you think AI can fix in gambling on: March 25, 2023, 07:31:05 PM
I think if casinos can give AI enough data, it can do the same filtering that humans do to detect Alt account abuse. They can also be used to identify and "red flag" money laundering strategies and patterns , so that this can be reduced.

It will be interesting to see if this can be done in real-time and how fast the casinos can react on this output. I also want to see how scammers will react to this and what happens if there are false positive results.  Roll Eyes
Artificial intelligence algorithms used in gambling can identify patterns of risky behavior based on user data. The patterns include the frequency of betting, the amount wagered, and the amount of time spent gambling. Having access to this information could affect some gamblers' habits and invariably prevent them from gambling and reduce their use of the product.

Nigeria will play host to Guinea-Bissau tomorrow 24th March, 2023 at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja, in the Federal Capital Territory. This is for the African Nation Cup Qualification match. Nigeria tops the table with 6 points and Guinea-Bissau in second place with 4 points.

I would say Nigeria will win but I won't because the last time they played in that stadium they lost woefully. I will chose to remain neutral here. What do you think? Which team do you think will win this first leg?

337  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to accept crypto payments? on: March 24, 2023, 08:39:48 PM
I am wondering what are the ways to accept crypto payments in an online business. Should I share my wallet address and ask clients to send payments to it? Isn't it troublesome? Payments could be sent to the wrong wallet address and also it would be difficult to manage the transaction history. What should I do?
There are various payment gateway systems provided by various third-party sites for accepting payments through cryptocurrencies.  If you want to accept payments in cryptocurrency for your online business, you can set up payment gateways from third-party sites or if you've created a wordpress site, you can easily get some plugins to accept cryptocurrency payments that can be installed easily.  You can set the payment gateway.  By which a customer can easily pay you through cryptocurrency.  And you don't have to give your personal wallet to anyone.  A separate wallet will be generated for each customer. If you can't do it yourself.  Then you can hire a dev to do it easily
Would you consider this type of third party to be safe? What if this party absconds with the fund, especially where security agencies cannot intervene or interfere?
338  Economy / Speculation / Re: How much return are we expecting next bull run? on: March 23, 2023, 06:02:01 PM
Have been in crypto just over a year now so have yet to experience a bull market and up till now I have just bought and held.

Currently my portfolio is 10% down and am not planning on selling any until I 2x at least.

Bitcoin takes up 30% of my portfolio with the rest in altcoins.

What is everyone expecting in 2024/25 bull run? Is a 10x a good return or should we be hoping for more?
Similar to stocks, cryptocurrency has a bull and bear market cycle over four years. Nobody can predict how big the market will be in the bull and many predictions failed last time around. Additionally, I believe the bigger the price, the smaller the price multiplication, so manage your expectations carefully and have an early exit price in mind. Anything above 100k is good for bitcoin and above 30k is good for Ethereum
339  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The future is looking good for P2e games on: March 23, 2023, 05:46:10 PM
Most play-to-earn games lack balance, prioritizing earning rewards over gameplay quality, balance, or fairness. For an existing project, will this balance be provided for players more interested in playing than earning rewards?
340  Economy / Economics / Re: The problem with Credit Suisse and banking sector. on: March 22, 2023, 06:19:24 PM
Today, the US Federal Reserve declared an increase in interest rates of 25 basis points, bringing the range to 4.75% to 5%. This marks the highest rate since 2007, just before the worldwide financial crisis. Prior to the announcement, experts had differing opinions on whether the US central bank would proceed with a rate hike or choose to pause, given the turbulence in the US banking industry
