No of course, but it would have to be something only few are privy to and even then it could be hard to prove without strong evidence. I'm not trying to encourage anyone to do so, I just as a company would never assume what was kept with in an NDA would never be gossiped about, and as a signatory would like to think integrity counts for something.

Well you're pretty close with Hashfast now Gateway and you gotta agree Ytterbium nails it here; Making everyone sign an NDA is pretty stupid. I requested to go to the open house and was told: 'no' we're full. Not a huge fan of these guys right now. We know that they had an open house. However, we have no clue what was discussed. So, what was the point of it?
It's kind of annoying. On the other hand, their main public competition right now is Cointerra, it's probably something of a game of chicken with them, they don't want to put out specs before Cointerra does if it means Cointerra can try to one up them. Anyway, as far as I'm concerned the hashrate is going to be going up way to quickly to bother buying any more hashpower at this point in time. We'll have to see where things are in December, and what the prices are. I'm a little worried people aren't really doing their research or thinking clearly are going to order a ton of product they'll never ROI off of, and at the same time destroy profitability for everyone else as well. I'd say as much as companies want to be open, now there is competition which hopefully leads to better value for equipment for us over the long term. All that matters for us though are the returns to be made, how soon we can get started, the protection of the network and the integrity of those involved... You are correct about HashFast but I also spent my hard earned money with KNC and was one of their first 500 so I have interest in what their status is. Also with NDAs I do not take them lightly working in the industry I'm in, in fact we have many on place at our company about the next gen gme console and you won't hear me breaking any NDA I sign. Trust me if one of the next gen console people found who actually leaked info their are consequences |

So I also have faith in HashFast, and knowing John for a while I was able to talk to them quite a while a few weeks back, yes nda on my side blah blah blah as well sorry guys.. but I think these are the main things we are all concerned about (except for some idiot who just paid some 65k for a bfl mini rig) sorry couldn't help myself. Time is money Diff is going up and not down, I think the last block change it went up from 31 million to 37 millon, so give or take every 11 days or so we can expect this to grow. So the days of selling maybe overpriced hardware is over, at least for the smart investors If companies coming out towards the end of this year are still charging between 6k-10 or more for anywhere from 300-500Gh/s their just is NO ROI anymore. So yes the price of $$ per Gh/s will come down, and its important to get out quick for these companies they also need to make a profit as well but the time for the greedy companies is over.. anyhow its late im rambling , spent all freaking day load testing our servers and im spent.. but I know for sure you guys will like what HashFast will be offering |

So its been pretty quite on the KNC front, no newsletters as of late , a bit of info when pushed by several pages of posts about Tape-Out time.. but mums the word.. I'm sure they are waiting just as we are to get stuff to put together, but it would be nice to maybe have an official update that everything is on schedule still, no delays, blah went though this process, we are doing this etc.. it doesn't matter (unless they are going to be really late) if they let people know because they are supposed to ship next month... anyhow, all this speculation about diff changes, company x cant do thing y.. etc.. KNC if your listing how about an update, instead of posting with pics with Josh sorry that last one was sorta a joke, kinda. anyhow its late, starting to ramble.. but putting out some feelers.. |

Busy day today... Got it managed to get the board mining. This first chip has not all internal engines available, so it is slower than normal. But it seems some of them will re-activate when increasing core-voltage. I know various ASIC is coming out towards the end of the year but keep in mind it has to really make sense to buy these and get ROI if not more, what is 5k today for 400Gh/s, wont be great if you spend 5k in nov/dec for the same amount, these devices/products/chips really need to start coming down.. ..

when will your asic be available and are there any prices?
We will be shipping in October. We will be releasing pricing and launching sales shortly for a one chip hashing machine, a more dense rack mounted unit, as well as individual chips. Awesome news John! I for one am excited about the new products and chips coming out! @all, I think its time to relax a bit, funny thing I saw that sorta rang true on a post maybe not in this one is "More answers always lead to more questions", so lets let the HashFast team focus on bringing out their products and I'm sure John or Simon will be here at times to answer any relevant questions that are on topic |
