321  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM (XEM) Official Thread - 100% New Code - Easy To Use APIs on: April 25, 2018, 09:03:19 AM
They could even airdrop some of the Proximax, Bankera and/or Tutellus tokens when they become available to current NEM holders and announce that well in advance to create some steady buying pressure.  That promotes both the larger ecosystem and ownership of NEM.  Something, anything would be welcome at this point.  The thinking on their end just seems completely frozen.

Many of the people are here from the beginning. They remain calm because they know that's not how NEM works. Constant airdrops are not a guarantee for a steady rise and not P&D. I'm quite happy with the foundation handling the project and the community is growing with a lot more people joining and contributing. Not every coins has to be a overhyped coin for some quick bucks

The first rule of crypto is patience, If you can't be bothered waiting for the market to mature and adoption to grow organically then why are you here? Seriously, this is such a new industry and nobody knows exactly how things will pan out, but NEM is a real contender and has been for 4 years now.
322  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmark on: April 25, 2018, 08:56:40 AM
The coin itself is garbage, the developers for 4 years could not make the project.
But you can trade it if you buy at the bottoms and sell on pumping

Yes, nothing has been delivered in four years but that doesn't mean bitmark won't deliver a good return IF the devs actually produce a working marking based ecosystem that goes viral adoption. Not very likely I admit, but crypto is just an embryonic industry and anything is possible.
323  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Qora | POS | Assets | Names | Polls | Automated Transactions | Social Network on: April 24, 2018, 03:27:59 AM
I had a Break in Cryptos for about a Year due to lots of Work. Can someone tell me if this qora is the Coin I had some ORA Assets at nxt AE? I just looked in my nxt Account and saw that I transferred them to NXT-G7QA-2KUA-BLLZ-5FUCY in February last Year. So do I have a Stake here?
They are two different things.
Qora is not related to Nxt. It is a totally different project with unique features.

Those assets would be proxy tokens for qora that a third party gateway sold that were hopefully backed by real qora 1:1

Many people and projects used the NXT asset exchange to run gateway exchanges using proxy tokens.

Nothing to do with qora project itself though
324  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [XEL] :: Elastic - The Decentralized Supercomputer :: on: April 19, 2018, 09:46:41 PM
Somebody sold around 500k of XEL couple hours ago... Strange move considering the whole market situation..

Hopefully they will regret it one day Tongue I know I am buying a couple hundreds everyday, so the small price drop was welcome ^_^

Why do you hope they regret it, does regret from this seller improve the prospects of this project? I do not understand this attitude, it is against true liberty and the ideals of crypto to wish something like this, just assume the seller made a choice to sell, and the buyers made a choice to buy, and rejoice that both sides were frèe to make their own decision.

Well you overthink a figure of speech too much....

No, I think you use figures of speech without thinking what they mean.
325  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Qora | POS | Assets | Names | Polls | Automated Transactions | Social Network on: April 19, 2018, 10:30:29 AM
want to sell 1000000 qora@40 satoshi.

Do you have any more bro, I would buy 10M @ 30 sats, no worries at all, qora is a standout for some love this year, such a great coin and never been pumped even, and for a coin with original code from 2014, man, qora is like nothing else in the cryptosphere.

I can sell 3M @ 30 sats if you like

Since I have less merit than you I'm okay with sending first in small increments (I send 0.5M you send 0.15 BTC I send 0.5M again you send 0.15 BTC again etc...)

You misunderstand that merit's related to trust, I strongly recommend use escrow for such deal.

I know but the guy looks trustworthy to me, I wouldn't take that risk with anyone, at the worst I lose 0.5M Qora. With escrow one has to trust the escrow and I'm guessing there are fees

0.5M qora in your price is equal 0.125BTC, escrow fee cost only 1% or 0.0075BTC for full 3M Qora  deal.

Oh yea that would work then, just need to find a buyer now Smiley

I filled my qora bag already from other sellers, but when I get some more cash I'll be a buyer again. It would be great if there was an OTC thread on this forum, I don't use open ledger as an exchange yet.
There was a OTC thread back to the early days of Qora.
You can try it if you want.
BTW, what was the price of your last transaction?
I believe it was 30 sats

Yes, approx 30 sats average for 15M
326  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] YOURCHAIN - Let's Make Crypto YOURS Again! on: April 19, 2018, 09:00:34 AM
Happy one year anniversary guys. Wish dev is doing just fine. Let us see what this coin can bring in the near future. RChain looks like it is five times more from its ICO price. Yourchain will perform better than that. Grin
Remind me what the ICO price? LOL, did I miss something? As far as I know, in this project there was only airdrop.

There wasn't a money transfer involved with this coins distribution, but there has definitely been a transfer to the dev in the currency he values most - attention - this guy has generated 12 months of attention on HIM from multiple people, maybe +1000 human hours of attention, and that's getting him off. Maybe that doesn't bother people to waste their time on this, and maybe the dev has returned enough comedy dividends to pay for the attention he craves, it's all subjective.

I know a woman who will literally blow a guy if he talks to her for an hour or so, there's no money changing hands, but this woman is really painful and nobody likes her, so getting a man to pay attention to her is worth a blow job. This dev is basically doing the same sort of transaction.

Not to me he isnt. I did invest besides the airdrop, but I have already written it off. I only come here for entertainment purposes now. Not really worth the price I paid but this is crypto, right?

I only got an airdrop, and I'm smart enough to realise I can't predict much in the cryptosphere,  and I would not be surprised at all if this guy produced something of substance, just so he can continue the 'game' he likes to play, and if he drops a doge 2.0 type coin, hey, maybe you get a return on the money you invested.

My honest opinion is this guy has a mental illness, and that effects people differently, and for some it prevents productivity only at the real extremes,  other times the crazy stuff enhances some other activities.
327  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: April 19, 2018, 07:20:38 AM
Who tested the WorldCommunityGrid bot already? Tell me, as wcg points are awarded ? Do you need to complete the task until the end? only after that will earn points?

I have been testing the bot already. It works very smooth. I have completed dozens of tasks over the last days. Bytes will be send out from time to time. I have not received any yet. But I do not really do it because of the free Bytes. I think it is generally a good thing to support such research projects. And yes you only earn WCG points when you complete a task. It usually takes less than two hours.

What is the payment rate for the WCG program, has it been announced yet?
Right now they're not even worth a cent for a days worth of points

Ok, so payment rate is not worth renting some VPS like when ripple used boinc to distribute XRP,   but for people already doing world community grid something is better than nothing. This scheme won't encourage existing crypto users, but will reward current wcg users, and that is the aim for expanding adoption, I like this approach, hope it continues for many months!
328  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ENRG]Energycoin with EnergyParty webwallet @ www.EnergyExchange.eu on: April 19, 2018, 06:10:43 AM

This is very exciting and I have hope for my 200k ENRG, the one thing I am unsure of though, is why the decentralised green energy markets would use ENRG instead of fiat currency or larger established crypto like bitcoin. I can imagine many energy providers want freedom to choose which currency they want to use, so some sort of branding is important to promote ENRG over other options. Any system that enforces the currency is used will obviously be less attractive, so getting high profile environmentalists to endorse ENRG as an ethical project will be cool.

Our platform EnergyParty www.EnergyExchange.eu can handle more than 20000 different smart tokens/asserts. It is a complete token ecosystem en each energy cooperative can have their own local token with local value on the EnergyCoin blockchain. Of course, all the users need a small share of EnergyCoin and they need an EnergyCoin community wallet the get their own token. The EnergyCoin Foundation controls issuing new local tokens and other business on EnergyParty. To create tokens you need XEP, that is the internal token to create tokens on the platform. It works the same as Counterparty.

When we have the usecases it looks like this:

But this is our testnet (old logo) and on top of this we have then smart applications.
All the tokens/assets can be exchanged on decentral EnergyPary between each other.
So when there is a need for energy from a neighbor energy cooperative it can be exchanged.
No need for other currencies, just trade on EnergyParty

Have a great day,

Jan

Ok, I understand better now, there will be many assets running on top of ENRG platform like counterparty, this makes sense to me now thank you. The ENRG is the clearing currency when different projects want to trade their own tokens on the energy marketplace, very nice!

...Are you agreeing with the guy who implied this recent rollback was due to a komodo dev team attack?
My bet is it is/was a private individual, with no official connection to Komodo, who actually holds significantly more SAFE than he does Komodo....
I'd also bet that he offered to help make it a non-adversarial process and was turned away....

I agree, I follow KMD slack channels and those guys are working +12 hours a day doing things like preparing to run MoMoM scaling tests and preparing new notary nodes to activate. jl777 is pushing updates daily that imply he is coding 12-14 hours a day easily, I think after 5 years he has very little incentive to 'attack' other crypto, on the contrary, his whole philosophy is built around crypto co-operation, the previous 'incident' was fully explained and didn't look like an 'attack' to me, he was trying to help, I don't think he has thought of Safe since, and wont unless Safe becomes a legitimate top 100 crypto on CMC.

333  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SAFE][POW] Safecoin - Komodo Fork - zCash Privacy on: April 19, 2018, 01:33:24 AM

KOMODO's insecurity about SAFECOIN is a sure indication that this project is headed for success...
once SAFECOIN starts trading on a large scale we'll see this coin's true potential, never mind the haters.  Wink

Unless you have proof komodo dev team attacked safe you should avoid inflammatory comments like this, I don't think komodo devs are worried about safe coin at all, and unless you want to provoke rogue elements in other crypto communities to really attack safe, you should leave attack reports to the safe dev.

I would agree with you that Komodo has their own problems they Should have been focused on, and maybe they wouldn't have forked off if they were able to have some professional prioritization of their own project rather than spending most of their time on here all while demonstrating the shortcomings of their notary nodes (speaking of "Insecurity").

I also Highly agree with you that false accusations should be refrained from on all sides.  I think that is best for everyone.

But I don't see where the accusations were in that last statement, to be honest.   Komodo has time and time again clearly demonstrated, without a shadow of a doubt, highly unprofessional, unethical and immature Insecurity about SafeCoin that was counter to the long term objectives of open source.  That in itself is not a legal pose, but is rather proudly strewn across this thread which we choose to leave up as evidence forever.  And which concluded with their own network falling apart.

Seems more like straight facts to me.

But yes, again, no need for poorly worded attack accusations at this time.  I will second that.

If komodo dev team attacked your coin and caused you to roll back your blockchain you should say so, and provide your evidence, otherwise you should advice your minions to avoid speculation that tries to avoid the issue.

Are you agreeing with the guy who implied this recent rollback was due to a komodo dev team attack?

335  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [ANN] Bittrex - Next generation exchange (btc/ltc/eac/ppc/rdd/ftc/and more) on: April 19, 2018, 12:22:00 AM
Did the finally solve the thousands of tickets about verification and thousands of disabled accounts? It's quite remarkable that people are still using them after that incident. I consider them extremely unreliable, close to a scam.

I agree, crypto is extremely strange space, and bittrex story must be one of the strangest in an already strange landscape. Bittrex is not 'close to a scam' it IS a scam, there are unambiguous cases of theft on a mass scale, it's just the Bitcoin bubble and associated greed creates this weird situation where despite the clear evidence of bittrex stealing user funds, so many noobies are scrambling to get access to the 'gold rush' that they've collectively suspended both common sense and morality.

Bittrex is an outlaw exchange, probably in cahoots with USA government.
336  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LBTC]Lightning Bitcoin | First DPoS fork of BTC | Claim FREE coin now on: April 19, 2018, 12:14:52 AM
i think the really great thing about this project is the ASCIC/GPU resistent.
but this is just on the paper.
how many days until the algo will be minable with GPU/SIC?

Asic resistance is a good feature, but not enough to make this fork anything amazing, I think the devs need to add some features asap, otherwise this coin gets lost in the fork zoo of the last 6months.

What makes Lightning Bitcoin better than other forks, i don't see a big community here, so store of value proposition is very weak.
337  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ⚛️ [ANN] Bitcoin Atom - Fork 1:1 of Bitcoin - Atomic Swap Powered ⚛️ on: April 19, 2018, 12:07:50 AM
Price is still falling, how many people still trust in this Bitcoin fork?
I don´t see any good feature, why may people use this coin.
Price is not still falling, actually it has been pretty stable lately. If you need a reason why people may use this coin, just read about atomic swaps and how cool it is that you won't need to use exchanges thanks to Bitcoin Atom!

Bitcoin Atom is one of the only forks I will bother claiming to keep, it actually has some merit, but might end in a pile of rubble if the devs can't build a community, but I think they have a chance. It is true to say 95% of forks are crap, and that is why most only go up in price when dodgy things happen with supply on obscure exchanges, but if Bitcoin Atom is around in 2 years it will be obvious it isn't shite.
338  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [SKY] Skycoin Launch Announcement on: April 19, 2018, 12:02:36 AM
Why is Skycoin being dumped while the whole market is pumping?
Are the team dumping it as long as the price reach some target?
I noticed that the Circulating Supply did increase since the beginning of this year.

Don't pay attention at price movement before Skycoin reach top exchanges. Testnet is coming soon, here's what you need to focus on. Wink Skycoin is only in the very beginning of his journey, it is long term investment.

I agree, price talk for skycoin is meaningless until the product is up and running, I did not believe the previous pumps were based on reality, and I don't believe this recent change is based on fundamentals either. There are no fundamentals of any crypto until it launches a product, only speculation.
339  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmark on: April 18, 2018, 11:56:24 PM
Pumping will come for this coin soon Huh

I don't think pumpers want bitmark any more, they want coins they can manipulate easily and there are so many of those about now. Bitmark might pump one day, but more likely it comes from something real, like a major viral boost to adoption, which could happen, especially if devs get some help with marketing.
340  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ENRG]Energycoin with EnergyParty webwallet @ www.EnergyExchange.eu on: April 18, 2018, 11:52:13 PM
This appears to be a replacement for current centralized energy markets. Could someone tell me why decentralized is better in this scenario? Most energy markets don't really do very well... is the problem the centralization? Just trying to understand the value proposition here. Thx
Hi AlphairyA,

I shall try to answer about the value proposition, good question.
The production of energy is more and more decentral with small solar installations and windmills.
The communities (eg Zonnedorpen) like to be more independent from traditional energy suppliers.
These energy suppliers add not so much value to the product energy and have a lot of people on the playlist.
So local green energy can have a better price for the consumers because you don't need the service of an energy supplier.
Ok, we do need some backup for when there is no sun and wind but we can improve that with smart installations like boilers in combination with heat pumps storage and car sharing.
The community works together on a green local smart grid and all people and business can profit.
It is a concept and not ready yet but token on the blockchain can be used to keep the value local.
When you have external energy supplier the value is going out of the community.
Together people can be strong and blockchain is the glue to make that happen.
We start in Groningen the Netherlands, a perfect location to show the world that community energy solutions can work!
We have support from a lot of people who believe in the same future.

Have a great day,

Jan
