321  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tipping homeless people with Bitcoin paper wallets on: June 29, 2017, 01:43:09 AM
imho, thats not a great idea, for him its just a peice of paper, and in current times he prolly doesnt even know what to do with it, so either he will loose it or if sombody knows what the paper wallet is , then without knowing the amount in his wallet, someone might steal it from him or exchange it for real cash.,
if you really wanna help , why not give them, what they really want like food, cash, some clothes.
322  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [Russia] Burger King to accept Bitcoin this summer! on: June 29, 2017, 01:38:56 AM
indeed that is great news, but how are they gonna handle the transaction fees and transaction confirmation time.,
maybe pay first then wait and then order ?
but it doesnt sounds good for home delivery it could work, like pay online using phone or pc while placing order and then after confirming the trasanction food gets delivered , but if the trsanction fees are low then you will never know the transaction is going to confirm .
323  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ransomware Cyberattack aske for Bitcoin on: June 29, 2017, 01:30:56 AM
yes, recently these attacks have been increasing first wannacry and petya or something like that and its kind of worrying me, because if every ransomware would start accepting ransom in bitcoin , becuase of its nature and then its a bad publicity for bitcoin and it may raise a red flag and make governments to make the bitcoins as illegal .

324  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin make Banks disappear? on: June 29, 2017, 01:23:50 AM
nope, banks are not going to disappear., not everybody uses bitcoins and banks are here to stay same as bitcoin is here to stay., they both have their own advantages over one another.,
banks may have to adapt to bitcoin like network for money transafer from one country to another and to lower the costs ., but they will not completly disappear. average joe needs bank too.

326  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So Bitcoin is better than Gold? on: June 29, 2017, 12:45:03 AM
offcourse, bitcoin is better than gold.,
you can transfer bitcoin online, and look at the gold price history and bitcoin price history and tell me which one's price is increasing rapidly .
and you will know why bitcoin is winner.
327  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cyber attackers asking for $300 in bitcoin on: June 28, 2017, 05:07:12 PM
i am afriad if attacks like this keeps happeing then government will see bitcoin as something bad and its not good for bitcoin.,
but its not just about bitcoin, if government bans bitcoin then attackers will ask for other crypto currency deposits.,
328  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how and where can i get these fancy bitcoin wallet addresses ? on: June 28, 2017, 06:54:36 AM
The address cannot be generated by somebody else, maybe the first characters but not the rest so technically they are not identical. As for how much letters (how fast) you can get pretty much depends on the GPU power you have, If you choose something long, It will take forever, keep it simple for 4-5 characters.

See this thread for how to create one: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=25804.0

after about an hour i have got one.

Pattern: 1admin
Address: 1adminACpFzmsW8uusEy354UXKVEreWk3

thanks
329  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how and where can i get these fancy bitcoin wallet addresses ? on: June 28, 2017, 05:42:02 AM
Whatever you do, don't use websites to create it
I made a mistake of making a vanity address using BitcoinVanityGen (The site even has HTTPS lol)
It was all fine for like a month then i deposited 6 bitcoin and within hours they accessed my wallet and stole all the bitcoins

damn, 6 btc, that is bad, i am already paranoid about loosing my btc., thanks for the heads up, i wont be using any online service then.,

but what happens if i find a bitcoin address using the app, and if somebody else also find the same address, wont it make the same private keys and make my bitcoins accessible by him ? just a random thought.

thanks

you gotta keep working.
337  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: One Address VS Multi Addresses on: June 27, 2017, 04:18:11 PM
multi address, so nobody can track from where the funds are coming and going., its for privacy reason and addresses are free so why not ?
while in single address, ppl can see where the funds are coming from and where are they going .
338  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin overcome Paypal? on: June 27, 2017, 04:15:39 PM
i voted no.,
but i now i think there is a possibility , but btc needs to lower the transaction fees and gotta make transaction much faster.
i dont see why it cant beat paypal.,
339  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wanna Cry new ? please help (cryptolocker Petya) on: June 27, 2017, 04:13:24 PM
does it actually encrypts the files or just threatens as a fake warning ?
i have never came in contact with infected machine.

try removing hdd and using it on another machine as  a secondary, even better use it on linux machine., if files are not already encrpted then get backup and do full system reinstall.
