Peeps Place - "DirectBet... Bets can be held in limbo for an hour before you know if you have a bet or not."

I've never found this to be the case. I always use "Firm Odds".
As soon as the bet arrives there, it takes about a minute or less to find out if it's accepted in my experience - just keep refreshing the page.
If the line has moved, I find the bet back in my wallet fairly quickly.

As far as being a one man shop and the owner having no bookmaking experience - you'd stated that you are guessing.

Even if it's true - there are plenty of people with lots of bookmaking experience who have stiffed, whether one man shops or staffed with many - Aces Gold, Bet Cascade's Lenny, Islands, WSEX's Steve and Jay, etc., etc., etc.

I don't see how either of those items if true (one man shop; no bookmaking experience) are issues unless they're leading to problems and I see no problems relating to those 2 items coming from DirectBet.

Firm odds were delayed by 7 minutes with me. There were a few other players that have also had delays. When I asked DirectBet, he admitted that the delay could be until just prior to the conclusion of the game. If there is a delay with your wallet, the blockchain or DirectBet's wallet, the bet is open and you can't cancel it if you use firm odds.

I don't really know much about this contest or who won or anonitips, but just reading over this really quickly one thing was apparent to me.  Just because anonitips' facebook page says its website is anonibet means nothing.  I could go on my facebook and say my site was anonibet as well without any verification...  just something I noticed.  I'm not saying its not very sketchy though!

Ryank that facebook page made on 2011, when Anonibet was started their business, everything can't  be coincidence.

And anonitips just registered his account June 30, 2014, 11:12:13 PM. There is so many thing looks suspicious.

Yup. And why did he get panic and remove that Anonibet link soon after the accusation?
At worst, anonitips was/is an employee of Anonibet. From the interactions that I've had with Michael, he is very honest. There is no way that he would knowingly be involved in a scam contest.

who r u? i want to hear from anonibet boss it was employee and he didn't know...
I'm a no one just like everyone else. I look into all complaints.

When cash books with banners had problems, banners came down immediately. If Anonibet tried to scam players, I would go to Reagan (owner of Peepsplace) and the banner would immediately come down.

Legend- At worst, anonitips was/is an Anonibet employee playing in the contest. He came in 2nd place. I can't see Michael being involved in a scam contest. He has always been very honest with me.

If a book is recommended, a lot of research will be done to help ensure the reputation of peepsplace.com. Here is another thing about Anonibet.

A player was overpaid 15 BTC. Anonibet took full blame for the mistake. They even went so far as to say that the player wasn't a cheat. I don't remember the exact wording but it had the same meaning. The player did pay back anonibet. Anonibet had an outage. Every player that emailed anonibet received .1 BTC for the down time. Anonibet opened in 2011 and has a maximum withdrawal of 500 BTC.

There have been rumors of cheating by Anonibet in their contest so I read the whole thread and did some research. joeland won 10 BTC by winning the contest. He joined bitcointalk on 4/26 and then made his first post on 6/8. The post was in regards to Webetcoins. On 6/27 joelad made posts concerning the contest with Anonibet. If there was cheating going on then why would the winner of the contest be legit?

Does anyone know where is the SBOBitcoin live chat?
It was on the homepage. I just looked and it's not there now. http://sbobitcoin.com/

This is a serious issue. I'm surprised you aren't issuing a warning, at least until they reappear.

I also checked their Skype. They were always available there 24/7. They are offline on Skype as well.

I wasn't aware of a hurricane in the Philippines. They  should still be able to send out emails to their customers notifying them of the situation, but I've received nothing.

I suggest putting up a prominent warning, telling people not to deposit until they resurface on their Live Chat and Skype.

I just did a search. The person who mentioned the hurricane - or in this case typhoon - is correct.
This is likely the reason they are offline.
I would still advise people not to deposit until they are back live. If they are not in their office, a btc deposit won't be processed.

"The typhoon has left at least 20 people dead and has forced financial markets, offices and schools to shut down in Manila, according to National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council of the Philippines."

http://www.accuweather.com/en/weather-news/rammasun-to-strengthen-1/30302492

SBOBitcoin.com's Live Chat is back online. All seems fine. It was probably the typhoon that caused them to be offline.
Gogo- Thanks for the updates.

DirectBet- You keep posting the same image over and over again. That is from peepsplace.com and doesn't have a thing to do with bitcointalk. My personal opinion is that no one should play at your book. My personal opinion is that some time during the NFL season that you will run off and stiff players since your limits are high. Some posters here believe in you so you got a "C".

What is wrong with my personal opinion?

1. No previous bookmaking experience
2. One man shop.
3. DirectBet posts confidential information if you have a disagreement.

Put that together and you are a stiff job waiting to happen.

I really enjoying convesation between Peeps and Direct.
But I agree only old book will get top ranking is not good, it's doesn't matter if I start book in 2010 and don't have better feature from others so how I will get top ranking.

You must set critirea for ranking and put here. Saying this that atleast 3 year old book will be A ranking will not solve issue.

Make 5-6 points critirea for ranking after that I don't care which book will be on top.

I played in both Anoni and Direct, Both have their pro and cons.

Hey Peeps,

You did not reply here,

Now another problem in Anonibet, People acussing them with proof they were playing themselves  in contest too.
Still Anonibet in top place, don't deserve after so many problem.
How would you rank the books? There have been three 1 man shops (2 men at most) have gone under in the past year. DirectBet is a one man shop. These places don't make it unless they expand.

DirectBet will not be around another year without improvements.

You are seeing problem in other books  but not in Anonibet, they run shady contest and participate themselves too if they can't afford to run contest who told them to run contest.
The best book for now is Nitrogen.
And I never said rate higher to Directbet, I said make clear critirea how you rated book. Just because you like Anonibet or they paid you guys in other forum  you prefer them.
Anonibet and Nitrogen are rated 1 and 2 in almost all rating guides. Playing the " being pay card" is what most do when they disagree with the ratings but all the rating guides can't be wrong.  A book can't be punished because they have a banner up. All the "A" and "B" rated books are strong.

"A" rated books
Anonibet A (2011)

"B"rated books

I don't want to argue anymore, because you decided that you will not change your rating doesn't matter who posted here.
I posted here just because I read once that this ratings for people from people response, But I am seeing only your own choice that which book will be on top.
Your input is appreciated.

DirectBet outright lies about being discredited for not advertising. We took down the DirectBet banner where we received 1% because of their problems. DirrectBet went on a smear campaign. DirectBet uses excerpts and lies to change meanings.

DirectBet will not be around another year without improvements. Their live betting is unplayable because of the hold. Bets can be held in limbo for an hour before you know if you have a bet or not. I would never recommend for anyone to play at Directbet.
3217  Economy / Gambling / Re: Ratings and Reviews of Sportsbooks. Ask books questions, problems and feedback on: July 16, 2014, 07:32:15 AM
... And how much BTC have we raised the past year with our offerings on Havelock and outside through VC?

The fact remains we've been operating for a full year, never missed any player payout or even been a hint of a scam like other sites that pop up and exit in months.. Knowing this very vocal community I can promise you if we didn't pay a user even fractions of a BTC, it would be plastered in many threads (including our own).... May I suggest you do further research and come back with a better informed opinion?

Regarding CasinoBitco.in, I applaud the transparency, but I have to say that I would never deposit at a book that has attracted a total player balance of ~$30k after being open for 14 months, and has yet to show the ability to make a profit as a sportsbook (ignoring casino PnL):

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AmSWZWkGJ1V3dFpxZHVTN0x6ZldUeHRteWdBd1pMNXc&usp=sharing#gid=16

Where did I say you weren't paying people out?  I said your net player deposits are tiny and you have not made a profit in booking sports over the last 14 months.  These are warning signs to me.   If you guys turn it around eventually and make it big, that's awesome.  But I wanted to give people a sense of the size and profitability of your operation, if that matters to them, as it does to me.
All info matters. Keep the opinions and info coming in.

DirectBet- What you say are lies.

I only presents the facts. I invite everyone to read the archive of this thread and see for themselves :

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=448302.msg6137493#msg6137493

I honestly asked you why were we rated lower than Anonibet. You couldn't explain and a few hours later you changed the ratings criteria in order to downgrade us and shut us up.

Quote
Anonibet and Nitrogen are 1 and 2 on Ryans guide.

Yes and # 3 in Ryan's list is bitcoinlivebets.com, not far behind Anonibet.

You gave Anonibet A and bitcoinlivebets.com D-

How do you explain such a big difference between your ratings and the users ratings ?

There are two options :

1) The ratings in Ryan's thread is greatly influenced by shills accounts.

OR

2) bitcoinlivebets.com didn't pay you so you rated them D-

Which one is it ?

I have nothing against Ryan or his ratings so I try to stay away of any criticism since it's nice to have multiple rating guides.

bitcoinlivebets is a very shaky book. They have problems on almost a daily basis and automation is never fully working. Each person has different reasons for playing at a book. I think that bitcoinlivebets is at the top of the list of the next book to go under although I hope it's not the case.

Bitcoinlivebets' (D- rating) website is down.

Be careful of the one and two man shops. The book either gets a bigger staff in a fairly short period of time and survives or goes under like the other one man shops such as Stakebet, Bit365 and Bitbook.
