Unfortunately Murray lost in straight sets to Schwartzman, the second set was tighter with a tie break, it is undeniable that he will more difficult to compete with young players if the previous matches have been very draining.
Today I have 4 bets at wta moscow quarterfinals are all over 19.5, just my predictions all matches will be tight maybe three sets or at least one set will go through tie break.
I have to say the harsh truth that Murray has left his golden days way far behind in the past. Even when he returned to the court, I was concerned about how well he would be but now it's clear that aging has got the better of him.  Congrats to Schwartzman for winning the game and I think Murray is nearing the end of his career.

Correct, although he is trying to bring back the clock, however, with that injury of his, he can't play high level tennis anymore. Good to see him winning and defeating good players, but that's it. He can't go back and be on his prime.

Speaking of Schwartzman he just beat Nakashima and will be waiting for the winner of Davidovich Fokina and Brooksby. So far the match is very close at 6-5 and Davidovich Fokina to serve to force a tie-break.

I'm doubtful that they can get on NBA finals with this roster even if Klay Thompson back again. There is a lot of strong team right now that can shut down this splash brother easily compared during there prime.
Just wait until you see Klay, what if Klay Thompson played the same when he was not injured yet, I think you will change your mind. have you seen how the GSW beat the LA Lakers on the opening night? that means they are capable of beating even the team that people think will win the championship.

Yes, with Klay Thompson coming back then there's a big potential of GSW to be a contender again in the West. Curry 30 PPG and then Thompson and then Poole plus Wiggins, probably we are going to see like 100 PPG between those players already.

I think Curry is just hitting his prime and so is Thompson when he comes back. Klay's number was insane before he got injured. The catch and shoot was his bread and butter.
3203  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin failed at $58,000 and dropped by more than $3K in a day. on: October 22, 2021, 06:34:07 PM
We also had a 3k increase, from 61k to 63k+ which was around 3k, we reached 66k as well so we could count that. It is obvious that daily changes at 3k range is not something we should be shocked anymore, it is a normal situation in the crypto world.

Obviously there will still be a lot less days, movements that are within one thousand, but right now we reached to a level where 3k per day changes every single day for a while (up and down) would not be really that weird. Like if I see it 60k tomorrow, then 58k a day later, then 62k afterwards with 66k+ trying to break ATH and fail again go down to 60k, all these sound very reasonable and understandable, I do not think it is very shocking.

You have predicted it as we are going down hard from an ATH to $60k right now.

But just like you it's reasonable and understandable, as the market really goes down hard after breaching new ATH. So it's really a good time to buy right now, although I'm expecting the price to maybe decrease still because of the bitcoin future expirations in the next coming days. That has been the trend in the last week of every month, so just don't panic and take it in stride.

Pretty much says that haters are gonna hate.

Yes, I'm familiar with that website and visited it multiple times already and at first I was affected by it. But in the years that I have been with bitcoin and crypto in general, I just thought that it is funny when haters saying bitcoin has died and yet we have a new all time high. And I just whatever happens to bitcoin in the future this haters are going to say negative things and will continue to do so specially in a bear market.
3205  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dice machine on: October 21, 2021, 06:31:20 PM
Dice have been one of my favorite gambling game and am thinking of installing a dicing machine in my home just for fun, my 17 years old son is good in playing computer games and am thinking of introducing him to gambling after all he is going to learn it whatever ways if I don't teach him how to handle gambling risk and avoid being addicted. The need to have a dicing machine at home becomes paramount and am wondering which dice machine I can go for?

I wouldn't go that route though, why you need to introduce your son to gambling? This is the first time that I heard parents wanted their kid to be involved in this vices? For sure we learn how to gamble from an early age, but in my case if was not my parents who teaches me, but my friends and peers in school? So I totally disagree with you mate, sorry.

Maybe Norrie can make it to ATP Finals for this year?
Maybe if he can get more points it will be very possible to atp finals, before november.

Norrie is currently 10th in the race. If we assume (and I think we can) that Nadal will not take part, then that puts Norrie in 9th.

6. Berrettini 4,000
7. Ruud 3,015
8. Nadal 2,985
9. Hurkacz 2,955
10. Norrie 2,795

He won't catch Berrettini. So if Nadal isn't competing, he just needs to overtake either Hurkacz (160 points above) or Ruud (220 points above).
Given how consistent Norrie has been this season, it's certainly possible. Alternatively if someone else above him (as well as Nadal) pulls out, then he's made it so long as he maintains his current position.

I think the top 6 are already assured of a slot in the ATP finals.

So there's only 2 slots remaining at the tournament needs 8 players, So it will be a battle between Hurkacz and Norrie for the last spot, Ruud getting the 7 and Nadal is out. So not sure if he can catch up Hurkacz for 8th spot.

Schwartzman winning the first set against Murray 6-4. And is also leading the second set now, it's going to be hard for Murray to recover from this match.
3207  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: October 21, 2021, 09:58:00 AM
Yeah very very stressful game it was with a lot of ups and downs and it was not easy to predict where this match was going. Surely it was game of the night and Jalen brown just turned it around with that half court 3 just 5 seconds before the end. Woow amazing game
Yeah, it was an epic battle at MSG. Jaylen Brown had a sensational performance, and he looked unstoppable. Unfortunately for him and for the Celtics, it wasn't enough to win. By the way, the starting lineup of the Knicks also performed great, although Walker's debut did not impress.

I thought that Kemba will play very good against his former team. Anyhow, it was a classic game 2 OT, players are all tired. But there can only be one winner and NYK bench was the key, specially Fournier, ex-Celtics who scored 32 in 44 minutes. Randle leads the team but he is being criticised for taking a bad shot and should have pass the ball instead for Fournier.
3208  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jamel Herring vs Shakur Stevenson on: October 20, 2021, 05:19:18 PM

Of course, he would say that because he is confident that he will win the fight, however, the bookies will only base the odds on what people think about this fight and I'm sure they'll ask all the fans about this fight, the majority will favor Stevenson, but it doesn't mean he is guaranteed to win, that's why as a better we are gambling on that possibility.

The fight will only be concluded after the last bell. There is no assurance if whoever will win, even bookies, favors the fighter. We already seen lots of upsets. Maybe one side can dictate that they can beat the other, fighter but it can only be proven when they meet and fight the outcome will tell the story.

Most of the time, gamblers love to pick within their instinct they not following the bookies, but find the way to analyze well and pick the right side to win their bets.

Or gamblers love to pick the underdog because of the huge pay.

As others pointed out, Herring is no stranger for being the underdog and then beating the odds against him. Shakur might be young, but it's not an assurance that he can win against a well tested and durable Herring who have been fighting the whole of his life, literally as a soldier. And if we take that chances for him, maybe underdog bettors will have a huge windfall if he upsets Stevenson in this fight.
3209  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: October 20, 2021, 04:01:27 PM
I haven't watched the whole Lakers vs GSW game, but the Lakers lost. It's not that the Lakers were missing something except a small chemistry and missed free throws and turnovers, but it's the GSW has been once again spectacular this year. A lot of guys has been improving, Jordan Poole was the most notable player who has greatly improved. They're once again surrounded with a lot of shooters, can both do damage from inside the paint or beyond the arc.

I hope to see a dangerous GSW again and reclaim their spot in the playoffs.
I watched the whole game trying to analyze what is wrong and what is right. It's the battle of teams with full chemistry (GSW) against none (Lakers).
But when its Lebron, AD, and Rondo on the floor, you could see a big change with how they move. When Westbrook is in, they are scrambled.
I agree with what Charles Barkley and how he compared it with his own experience after being traded to Suns. Westbrook cannot find himself.
Suddenly, it became a different league or band of players. He got used to being the main man or the quarterback but now the job is being divided to everyone.
Charles said he didn't need to change, just be Westbrook again. Let's give him more time to adjust and I know he will get through it.

We have been criticizing Russ too much, so yes, give him more time, I also watched the game and it seems he is more like trying to proved himself in the Lakers uniform. But maybe this lost will teach him and his team a lesson, not to push themselves but to relax in the game. Defense is good, they limited Curry, but he got a triple double, it was Poole who ignite the team when they are catching up the Lakers, so kudos to him. But Lakers still looks solid to me, just few tweaks here and there and they would be perfect.
3210  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Gervonta Davis vs. Rolando Romero - December 5 on: October 20, 2021, 11:30:31 AM

What do you expect? This is part of the strategy to sell the fight but we can always look at their previous fights and see who is better between the two. Based on the record, it's obviously Tank Davis who is better but Romero is going to be a good challenger, so the chance for an upset is possible and I'm glad that he's been hype by some boxers betting on him, hopefully, he will not fail our expectation.

Of course, and based on the record, Tank Davis is almost unbeatable in most of his fights, and his record is very impressive which has 25 wins and 96 of the fights are won by KO. I think that record alone would already tell how good this fighter is, and for Rolando Romero to match Tank Davis, he has to have a solid chin and a strong stomach so he can last in a toe to toe battle.

You have a type error the 96 should be 24 knock out, I agree Tank is a monster his monicker is right he is indeed a tank he can ram anybody in the ring, as for Romero this is the first time that his chin and body will be tested but another big thing that will be tested on Romero is his defense, his offense is good but his defense is questionable.

I agree, he always talk about his power, but can he also play defense?

Tank Davis shows that he can have a good defense in the Barrios fight and one thing that goes with him is that he has a good chin, never been crack in all of his fights. So we will see how Romero will react if he gets tag by Davis, left hook or body punch, for sure he will feel those punches as Davis has power in both hands. And if ever he got knock down or knock out here, then the hype is over for Romero.
3211  Economy / Speculation / Re: Fomo AGAIN? on: October 20, 2021, 10:07:31 AM
We have not yet broken the ath, as mentioned, and the normal thing when you get to that previous point is that there is some resistance. I remember it took us quite a while to break the $20k, it wasn't come and break it.

As for the FOMO, I would think there will be two phases:

1) When we clearly break above $65k.
2) When we get clearly above $100k. This is going to be the Big FOMO.

I think breaking $60k, there's already a FOMO.

Yes, institution are buying bitcoin at a huge rate, but still, for it is the retail investors that will cause their massive spike, so the FOMO is coming from them and not from institutions.

It could be a big FOMO when we reach $100k or a massive sell-off.  Grin
3212  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: October 19, 2021, 11:28:52 PM

That's why he need to work hard for this fight since if he lost for sure we will not see the fight of Inoue - Casimero since for sure the camp of Inoue will belittle him for losing his past fight, But we know how strong Casimero is and for sure we can see a great fight to him so let see on how he can handle Butler since this fighter is quite good but I think Casimero has more advantage to defeat this guy.

Casimero has everything to lose and really nothing to gain from this fight if he losses this fight, all his chances to get Inoue and Donaire to fight him will go out in the window and he will have to start all over again, I have seen a lot of upsets in the past months the recent one is Mikey's loss to Martin, and this is one fight that I don't want upset to happen, I still believe the Casimero - Inoue fight has the making of a great fight.

Right, hopefully though, Casimero will win this fight, need to focus on this one first before looking in the future for the Inoue or even Donaire clash.

A lot of upsets has been happening in boxing, I can only speculate is that because boxers haven't fought in this pandemic, like in the case of Mikey wherein he was like not fighting in the last two years. But Casimero is very active had fights in pandemic and again, we like him to win this fight first whether by ko (which we like as boxing fans) or UD.
3213  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is your opinion on recent bull market, will it be over soon? on: October 19, 2021, 04:12:49 PM
We probably have until January 2022, but everything afterwards is no man’s land, where only the desperate degenerates are.
I'm not sure what "retrace" you're referring to, but given how optimistic the market is right now, the first bitcoin ETF will do a lot of good.  I'm sure the market will come up with plans to extend the optimism to that.  Any crazy bull run is exciting, wait until you have ATH at 73k6 before there are days of slight drops.

Q4 is very promising for a crazy price increase, Taproot launch in November... the most important time for the market to enter a new journey will be.

Maybe what he meant is that we are all looking at December to reach a new all time high probably in the range of 6 digits. But what's going to happen after that? are we going to go bearish and have see retracement along the way?

So right now though, we are in bullish phase so from Nov-Dec there's a lot of things that can happen. We have the Taproot in November that will have a big impact and then the usual December end of the year rally. But what comes next? we really don't know.
3214  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: October 19, 2021, 03:36:59 PM
this tournament also showed us that there is no "new big three", all these players that are trying to replace big trio, are far lower quality, and we will have probably four different winners on four grand slams in a year, as soon as Novak retires

Definitely, it's the end of an era (or getting towards it). Those three are all-time greats, and it was bizarre to have them all playing at the same time. We've been waiting for years for the next big player to step up, but understandably no-one has been able to match these three so far. But at least it will be interesting having diferent winners all the time, with no-one really dominant.

Yes, the same thing is happening in men's tennis that we have been watching in the last few years in women's tennis, each tournament has a different winner.
Given the years of Federer, Nadal and Djokovic, their injuries and fatigue, it was expected that the time of their great domination would come to an end.
I think Nadal still has a chance to win the GS in Paris if he will be healthy and ready, and Djokovic could still win a few GS if he will be healthy and mentally ready.
Other young tennis players are still relatively young and need more experience and psychological stability to surpass the old champions  and it is really unlikely that anyone will ever surpass the big three.

I totally agree with you’ll the trio dominance looks very difficult to be matched with, and it’ll make wagering on tournaments even more riskier than it currently is.

Also I’m hoping sooner or later someone steps up when these 3 finally step down, because there’s so much potential in these young player’s, but for some reason they fail when it matters the most.

Lots of potential young players we have in the circuit that match the big 3 or big 4 dominance in the coming years.

The only thing lacking with this young players are the mentally. Djokovic, Federer and Nadal are very different when they started. It seems that they really wanted to proved something and the motivation of their young version is very different from the young version of young players.

Yeah, hopefully when they steps down, we can see another breed of big 3 that will dominate in the next 10-15 years.

- Not really sure how long I have been gambling, it's a on/off relationship. It didn't change my life a bit, on the contrary, it just complicate things as obviously, I have been losing money and somewhat become addicted to it.

3216  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: October 19, 2021, 01:03:48 PM

It's over, the deadline has expired, you just have to think about giving Bridges a extension worth $90 million and then Ayton didn't get any max deal. And if Ayton has another break out year this season and become a free agent, what will Phoenix do? offer the max contract then? What if teams are already courting him already and giving him more money? We don't know what Robert Sarver is thinking but this is a big gamble on his side.

It's a gamble from Phoenix. Ayton deserves the max deal. He's one of the reason why they play in the finals.

If he stays healthy till next season, for sure we will see lots of courting offers for him. Stay humble and play well. It's Suns loss if he chooses to play

with a different uniform next season. Or, there are underground deal or something that gives him perks that will let him enjoy staying with the Sun,

unknown deal behind to cover that max deal issue, we never know, right?

I don't know if an underground deal is happening in the NBA, I think all the deals are transparent as it's a basis for the taxation. If Ayton would choose to play with other team after his contract expires, then we can assume that he is getting better offer than with the Phoenix, he is still young and at his age it's important for him to sell himself well so he can maximize his income while he is fully healthy.

I doubt that there will be underground deal or under the table deal in NBA.

Of course, he says that he wanted to stay with Phoenix, but with the current development he is really disappointed with how the management handles his case. Definitely Bridges getting a good extension and his other 2018 draftees getting tons of money, extensions and perks, maybe Ayton performance will be impacted by this news. For sure he still needs to play better this season for Phoenix so that he will have to get a better deal outside. And then we will see what happens next.
3217  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: October 18, 2021, 08:49:51 PM
but if they are not injured then nobody will be able to stop them, not even Nets with Kyrie in it.

We are not talking here about the core players of the Lakers in their prime. Even they will play healthy all season, we can't conclude that "nobody" can able to stop them. Maybe I will agree with your statement if those players are in their prime days. I'm not seeing the Lakers as the best contender this season, honestly even the Brooklyn Nets. There's no unstoppable team right now based on my own view and we might see competition to at least 5-6 teams that deserve the Larry O' Brien championship this season.

I agree.
Any team are capable of making to the playoffs or even the Finals. Look how the Suns are so close to winning a championship last playoffs, and they aren't even expected to make it to the Finals.
I guess the era of superteams is over. Underdog teams, composed with perfect complimentary players could actually beat the superteam now.
Even the GSW is scary this season. Especially If Klay plays the same energy after the long injury.
No disrespect to the Phonenix suns but they had an easy journey going to the NBA Finals, in all the teams they played in the west, at least one of the star players was injured.

For LA Lakers, - Davis was injured.
For Denver Nuggets - Murray was injured.
For LA Clippers - Kawhi was injured.

No way they'll make it to the NBA finals this season if the good teams in the West does not have an injury problem.

But you can't take anything from Phoenix though regarding their championship run last year. They remain healthy and they are on top of the standings in the regular season. And even if those players are injured, they still have a hard time winning against Lakers, Nuggets and Clippers. You can also add that Giannis injury, fortunately he was able to come back and win the NBA for the Bucks. So this season, let's see if Phoenix can duplicate it so that there they can proved last year's going to the finals is no fluke.
3218  Economy / Speculation / Re: 60k price recovery achieved on: October 18, 2021, 01:42:56 PM
But its hard to say about buying while as we know not everyone can do it but if majority will not sell at this stage maybe we can contribute towards the pump of the bitcoin since we cannot add up the sell pressure in the market. But its hard to speculate about this as we cannot decide for others and the only thing we can do is to wait and see on how this bullish season end up also if we can see another ATH this year for bitcoin.
Just a little bit more bitcoin hitting ATH and the high in october was $62.5k but still not strong enough to hit it but I'm sure it can still hold on to $60k and people are still holding on to it and nothing else we can say just waiting for the next few weeks.

It's actually still the same way when bitcoin stayed at $50k for a few days and after that the price bounced up after the rally came, so it won't be any different than before and we'll definitely hit the target for ATH.

This is my speculation reminiscent of the previous one.

That is the biggest barrier so far, $63k-$64k might be difficult to break. But we still have this week though, it's been very unstable from $61k and up, which means there are a lot of constant buying and selling, we can see it in the volume per day.

So let's wait for a bit to break that barrier, I wouldn't be surprised if we can do it this week. I'm a bit off the last week though of October or at least of every month because that's where the selling happens.
3219  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Reymart Gaballo (WBC bantamweight) on: October 18, 2021, 12:36:12 PM
I though it was already final that they will fight on December 11, but I have to check it myself after you said there's no specific schedule yet, and I'm surprised It really has no scheduled date for it yet. It's a mandatory fight, there should have a schedule released already.

Gaballo is a good fighter he is a solid power puncher and a KO specialiy, however he might going to improve his accuracy especially when fighting a boxer with speed and agility like Donaire. I'm kinda excited what this kid could do and he might be the next face of boxing in the Philippines.

No schedule yet for this mandatory fight but there is a big chance that this will be stage on the same night as Casimero vs Butler fight, that is what Donaire have said n his social media account as both Donaire and Casimero are now under Probellum, the promotional company owned by Richard Schaefer.

It would be a big night for Filipino fight fans if the above is true as both Casimero and Donaire are entertaining fighters and not boring to watch.

Which fight will be the main event then, and if that fight will happen then there are 3 Filipinos fighting in one night and Filipino fans would choose on who to cheer, will it be Donaire or Gaballo. I'm sure Donaire has a lot of fans but I also believe that there are some Filipinos who will bet on Gaballo to upset Donaire.

Easy, it will be Donaire for sure, as he is the more popular of the two. They need to sell tickets, so mayb Richard will have Donaire and Casimero as co-main event. But it should be Donaire to be the last fight to watch.

In any case yeah this is a win-win for Filipinos is this happens, two three of the best bantamweights we have in the same card and boxing fans are going to love it.
3220  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Terence Crawford vs Shawn Porter - Nov. 20 on: October 18, 2021, 11:49:35 AM

My predicition is this will be end via split decision in the favor of Shawn Porter.
Porter had faced many tough fights and can withstand any opponent that has a reach advantage like this fight, although Crawford has a flawless record. I reckon he won't defeat my boy Porter tho.

That's a bold prediction but if you checked Porter's record in his fights he had a hard time with tall fighters, was beaten by Spence, and hardly escaped a decision against Ugas, if you analyze both fights he cannot get in without getting hit and we all know Crawford he is very good at shifting from right stance to left stance, this will be Porter's big problem come fight night.

Wow, that's a bold prediction indeed, the OP should add a poll and maybe we can see how many favors Porter and how many are on Crawford.

For me Porter lost on the Ugas fight, yes he is agressive, but Ugas tags him with both hands the whole fight. But Porter won so I guess he is really that durable and tough. But we all know that Crawford is very good fighter, he can play orthodox and then switch stance and has a good chin as well. Also he has a weapon a left uppercut, which is Porter weaknesses in his previous fight, just watch the Thurman fight and you will see that Thurman uses it a lot when Porter is trying to go inside.
