James Harden leading the Nets, and so is Patty Mills, I guess they won't miss Kyrie as Patty is a very solid all around player.

Don't kid yourself patty can't hold kyries jock.  They might be fine but not because patty mills is an equal stand in.  I do think patty is perfect for this team but he is no kyrie on the floor.  Patty excels with stars on the court with him.  Great complimentary player that teams need to win.

What I meant is that they have another scoring options that can play a similar position. If Kyrie is not available then it will be like -20-30 points per game for the Nets. Durant and Harden might cover it, however, they still need someone and Patty can be a good fit for the Nets. Unfortunately they have lost to the Bucks, Giannis is too much.

Westbrook is under a bit of pressure now as performance is not looking good and Lakers would be worried about that. He really needs to perform in the next couple of games other wise if Lakers loose their upcoming matches, then he may be sitting in the bench. I really hope his performance improve in the upcoming matches.

I guess the Lakers are not worried about Westbrook's poor performance in the first game of the regular season, considering that he definitely needs some time to adapt. However, if there are no improvements after 5-10 upcoming matches, then coach Vogel should make some changes.

Yes, Coach Vogel is known to make adjustments in his starting line-up or even in the middle of the game. For sure Westbrook's competitive fire will shown later as this season progresses. This is the same with Washington Wizards early. But once Westbrook settles down wit the team, he blend very well and even making triple double again. There's a lot inside of Russ, maybe he is no longer in his prime, but damn, he is still better 50% of the players in the NBA right now.

Yup, I agree with the Joe Harris scenario, he really needs to step up this season. He was inconsistent last year and I observed that he played good when they are on their hard court. But when they go on the opponents turf, he has a dismay performance.

So Harris needs to improved his game, given that he will have a lot of good minutes in the floor since Kyrie is not going to play. Hopefully, he can upped his ppg too and contribute more.

It was a total overhaul from last year, and they added solid players around Lavine.

Good win for them, they also covered the spread today against the Pistons so for sure many happy campers today.

I still have doubts with Randle that may ruin the Knicks team. I saw him at the crucial moments trying to take the outside shot for a winning moment even though it's Fournier who has the free space. That could have been an unselfish move if he passed it and he will still have half the credit for it. At the end he missed it and I am sure they will look at the replays even though they won the game. He has to learn more and being a team player is part of that.
I have this bad feeling that soon, the Knicks problem will be that everyone is trying to be a star and co-players being a threat to reach that instead of a team.
Sound pessimistic but that is how I see it. It's mostly the issue for a young core team.

Yeah, I agree with your observation, it seems that Randle really wanted to be the franchise player of the Knicks and should be the one taking the last shot. Unfortunately, he didn't make it and we all know that Fournier is a good outside shooter.

Hopefully this will not be the story of the Knicks this year, last year was very different though, everyone is contributing and making good plays and everyone can take the last shot.

Being traded means the player is a dead weight to the team especially when his salary is big enough to acquire young players with potential to grow. Kemba Walker performance is very impressive when he was rookie but this started to slide after a couple of years without any improvement and competition from new players that entering NBA with potential. It's very rare for an old prime player to overcome this period of career low especially on his position. Maybe joining on low tier team can improve his career stat just like what other players did and wait for a star player to carry that team.

That's true, at least they'll improve this season and they still maintain to be a defensive team.
DeRozan, Ball, and Caruso are the major addition to this team, with their experience especially DeRozan, he can help this team to be more competitive in the playoffs. I am optimistic that they'll make it to the playoffs this season although other teams have already improved as well.
