rofl- all the Feathercoin votes must be people trollin'

Those that have a different opinion are trollin, good to know.  It's 'cute' how everything is a troll these days. Happy trading.

It's not the fact that people who have different opinions are trolling. It's the fact the Feathercoin has been out less than a week, there is absolutely nothing to do with it but trade it on sketchy Google document trading services, there are no REAL exchanges for it, nothing to buy, no services... it is as this point completely and utterly worthless except for speculation.

Now... will that change in the future? Maybe.

But, it is a joke that so many people "believe" in Feathercoin at this point in time. There is no evidence that it will live past next month, hardly any evidence of development yet, and it is an exact copy cat of Litecoin that provides no innovation.

All the new people are just obsessed with becoming Millionaires like the early Bitcoin adopters. But, I highly doubt this will pan out the way that they are thinking it will.

Glad you continued this project.
I voted for 50. +10% is a reasonable amount for a physical coin.

Thanks Skull!

Sorry to not bring you aboard as a developer, more than a few people contacted me and honestly I wasn't sure who I should choose, who would do the best job, and didn't want to hurt anyone's feelings. Thanks for supporting me anyways!  Grin

The $169 price tag wasn't an indicator of quality?  Wink

I thought about buying a mountain of these, but after reading reviews I decided not to. Sorry for your luck.

Free bump!

Thanks Smiley

Its hard to get opinions with this sub forum so cluttered.

1 LTC coins out of 1oz silver and sell them for like 20 LTC. I'd probably buy some of those.

I am planning on doing this in the future. Minting costs are too high to do silver coins in the first batch.

Also, whether silver coins become available in the future hinges on the success of this first batch.

Moar votes needed!
3208  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL ASIC STATUS Shipped on: April 23, 2013, 01:43:54 PM
BFL needs to learn the definition of shipped.

I'll give them a hint... it doesn't mean having products on a cart in their office, or running a unit for Luke-Jr from a work bench in their office either.
3209  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Group Buy] Avalon ASICs CHIPS! Using JohnK as Escrow! Pledge reached!! on: April 23, 2013, 01:42:27 PM
Get that money in guys! Lets get some chips ordered!

So you and probably others that are involved in the printing process will be aware of the addresses
and the private keys of all of the shipped litecoins.
What exactly ensures us customers that you or someone else isn't going to steal the litecoins sometime in the future?

I am doing the assembly myself for security reasons, so that I am the only one that will ever see the private keys. You can be sure that as soon as they made, they will be encrypted and stored offline on two USB drives (an extra one in case the first is corrupted) and stored in a very safe place. The computer that will print the private key cards will never connect to the internet, ensuring safety from prying eyes. As soon as I make a coin, any record I have of the private key will be permanently destroyed.

You can always use a block explorer to check the balance of the address, but when it comes to the destruction and confidentiality of private keys, you will just need to trust me. I have no interest in stealing, I have a good job and an OK enough life where I don't need to steal. I will be as transparent as possible when the time comes to make them.

I am open to any suggestions on how I can do this in the most transparent way.

Thanks for your interest,  Smiley

Shipped != Sitting on a cart at BFL headquarters.  Roll Eyes

Ummmmmmmm love it. Was thinking of you as soon as I saw this thread. Ur batch 3's are gonna get slaughtered.

BFL is the least of my worries, I'm more worried about ASICMINER.

Anyways, that's why I did the whole group buy thing... less risk on my side.

If the Avalons don't make any money, I lose 7 BTC... big whoop.

Nice try tho  Tongue

You've been a hater from day 1, I wouldn't expect you to change your tone:

this is crazy. people cant give their money/btc fast enough to this guy... this has epic fail written all over it. i really hope your batch 3 shipments arrive well before bfl's 'product'

tldr; btc NEVER goes down in price, avalon batch 3 will ship long before bfl, pep's have more dollars than cents.

gl coinhorder, hope to never have to see that scammer tag under your handle...

So that we can start to salivate with the mental excel spreadsheet that lives in all of us Cheesy

Isn't it the worst when you're in the middle of entering random difficulties and LTC exchange values into your spreadsheet and your brain gives you the BSOD?  Embarrassed

The network speed is certainly going to explode this year.

Throw all profitability calculator numbers out the window.. there is so much Th being deployed from so many different places that calculating ROI within reasonable doubt is quite challenging.
3215  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [new] cryptofolio.info - easily see how much all your coins are worth on: April 23, 2013, 01:43:27 AM
Cool site, perhaps this would receive more attention in the ALT coin forum.

It would be cool if there was a feature that saves the amount of coins I enter in a cookie on my computer, that way I wouldn't have to enter all the numbers each time and only would have to update the amounts that changed.
3216  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [POLL] What denomination of physical Litecoins would you like to buy? on: April 23, 2013, 12:22:28 AM
The big ones get more cost efficient but are way to expensive to sell.

I am planning on avoiding this problem by not loading the coins until someone pays for them.

Otherwise, I would never be able to get this project off the ground because it would be way too expensive.

And sorry about the price, but there's not much I can do about it.. it's not my fault that the LTC exchange rate is what it is.

If I trimmed retail price anymore it simply wouldn't be worth my time.

You "noobs" don't understand the amount of scammers that pop up on these forums every day.

Maybe one day you will realize why I am so outspoken in sniffing out likely scams.

If I had a dollar for every scammer that comes to Bitcointalk, I'd be a millionaire ten times over.

This guy registers and then right off the bat he asks for $187,500 to $750,000 to sell the rest of his contracts.

If this doesn't seem the slightest bit fishy to you, then you are going to lose money to scammers left and right here, enjoy your stay.

I admit he has done the best job he can "proving" that he is legit, but at the end of the day you never really know until he starts paying dividends.

Good idea TacoTime.

I applaud you for creating an ALT coin that actually provides innovation to the ALT coin ecosystem, rather than just copying an existing chain like the others.

I will be following closely.
3219  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [POLL] What denomination of physical Litecoins would you like to buy? on: April 22, 2013, 11:34:17 PM
Bump, need more votes and opinions.

Yes please I'll take several in all denominations. Smiley

Forget the few tight asses that can't afford it.  You make less per coin then Casascius does.  And I don't see LTC staying at $2.5 anyways.  Especially since we know it's going to Gox.

Cheers!
