3241  Economy / Economics / Re: Will chatgpt really destroy the job market? on: June 02, 2023, 05:25:21 AM
I don't think so, now there will job for people who can operate ChatGPT. This probably sounds stupid but I saw a bounty here where participants were expected to use chatGPT, ask it right questions and make content using it.
3242  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Aidoge arbdoge huge opportunity Im in this coin on: June 01, 2023, 01:42:53 AM

3243  Economy / Gambling / Re: Why do you still want to play fake web2 casinos? Why we choose web3 casinos on: June 01, 2023, 01:25:47 AM
Unless web3 casino is on a fee-less blockchain, for example Hive, I'd stick to web2 casinos, even cents as fees can mount to a good amount of money when played long enough.
3244  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Lightning network for signature campaign payment? on: June 01, 2023, 01:16:53 AM
But with the Lightning network, it will probably be a problem to many signature participants who have to immediately move their payment somewhere else before converting it to fiat. The company or manager will save on fees, but the burden will be transferred to the participants. I guess that isn't fair.

I don't think that would be of trouble, there are plenty exchanges [1] supporting LN making it easy to go in/out.

3246  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: A opinion on regrets on: May 31, 2023, 04:17:32 PM
I think there are still many opportunities that we can get in the future, I believe that.

I would change your doubtful statement with, there are 'always' new opportunities. I would even consider current market prices of coins to be an opportunity. I'm sure people are going to look back at today wishing they bought today.

...some don't want to join any project other than their belief in Bitcoin.

Indeed, a part of Bitcointalk community can be included in that.

3247  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: AI Coins Speculation on: May 31, 2023, 11:40:43 AM
Coins you mentioned are prominent coins in the market, and I'm not surprised with their upside recently, investors will pick up whatever is in trend and these days it's AI. However, there are countless other shitcoins which are taking advantage of buzzword AI and are there just to scam investors. Stay away from them.
3248  Economy / Trading Discussion / A opinion on regrets on: May 31, 2023, 11:33:40 AM
We regret about missing Bitcoin, then about XRP then about Ethereum then Doge then Shiba then Pepe (these are some top of my head and from what I've come across in my crypto term).

Point being there are always new opportunities and dwelling on regrets is futile.

Doge, Shiba, and now Pepe. These three meme coins have survived, while countless others have gone, and yours will soon be history too. It's known that meme coins give huge profits but to find the ones that survive is the main thing which people appear to miss out.
3252  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcointalk IPL Prediction Pool & Discussion 2023 on: May 30, 2023, 03:43:07 AM
It's the first time IPL had a two days match, first day washed away by rain and second day they have curtail overs.

Can't be called two-day match if it wasn't played at all on first day, can it?

I would request Alone555 and libert19 to submit their Bitcoin address so that I may forward them to Royse777.

Thank you for contest, this was super fun.

Check Games and Rounds board daily and take part wherever applicable: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=71.0

Some have only minimum post requirement/activity, doable by everyone.

But some contest or giveaways have rules or they need wager requirements before you can qualify so its not the best choice for people to earn their first buck for free due to that requirements set by their representative. Maybe a best platform to start with is those faucet sites since maybe they can earn few bucks by dong some simple task.

Yes 'some' is keyword, take utopia raffle as an example, it needs nothing. I would recommend faucets to no one.

I don't know why you put "re" in the title. I imagine because it's an answer to a question in another thread.

I tried to be smart ass as such questions are quite frequent here, so it's kind of answer to all such threads  Grin

In any case, this would be a way to try to make some bucks, something like playing the lottery but for free, but it is not a good method to make money.

Yeah, I did mention 'first buck' in title. Sometimes, this first buck takes you far.

However, when viewed from the time spent and the value of the income generated may be relatively small and not fully reliable and fraud.

Yeah it's not reliable, it's about making first buck as stated in title. Don't bother with giveaways/contests not worth your time. Fraud idk, I haven't encountered so far, and even if there is, there are members here quick to point that out.

3257  Other / Meta / Re: Images from Imgur have been restored on: May 28, 2023, 10:16:18 AM
Already replaced mine using Tryninja's script and have been using Talkimg for all new image uploads, better use bitcointalk product for bitcointalk things.

Seems imgur guys have realized that most of their users are from bitcointalk and reddit.

Dunno stats but I'd go with reddit, it has significantly higher user base compared to bitcointalk and most of them use imgur, it was redditor's go-to before Reddit started to host images and even after doing so users preferred imgur.

3259  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Ledger Recovery - Send your (encrypted) recovery phrase to 3rd parties entities on: May 28, 2023, 08:59:44 AM
Ledger claims it now stores more than 20% of the world's cryptocurrencies and 30% of the world's NFTs.

Not sure about the statement, how do you come to conclusion like that with hardware wallet?

Also, here is an interesting Reddit thread from ledger co-founder and Ex CEO: My personal view on the pr disaster from Ledger

3260  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcointalk IPL Prediction Pool & Discussion 2023 on: May 28, 2023, 08:05:00 AM
By the way, did superbru told us that there will be a change in the points for the playoffs and the finals  Huh

That made me check, and apparently there is different scoring for playoffs/qualifiers and finals. You can read about it here. Also, shows under 'Matches'.

Well, I think things can still change. As I can see from the last match, a correct prediction can get you 2 points, and if a correct margin can also give 2 points then the final match can be the game-changer. If you get both the prediction and the margin and if I choose the wrong team and lose, you can still get to the top, but if the margin only gives 1 point, then I will still be on the top with a 0.5 points lead.

I'll still need to get pick + margin right despite right pick getting 3 points in finals to get to the top and ofc you must lose  Tongue

@UmerIdrees wouldn't have it been better to have this option turned on?
