[TELEGRAM] Yet Another BitcoinTalk Notification BOT (merits, mentions, topics,+)

Hey Thanks for this, such a great feature!

I have a question, I'm trying to create a group telegram chat for me and my team and use the bot to report all activity for coinslotty related keywords, but I'm having an issue adding @BTTSuperNotifier_bot to a group chat.

If I go and create a group directly from the bot chat, it just removes the bot soon after the group is created.

 
If I go ahead and create a fresh group, it doesn't display the bot at all.


What am I doing wrong here?

Keep in mind that the bot wasn't created with group chats in mind, so I have no idea if it would work properly (or even work at all). Feel free to report any issue, though.

edit: After some testing, it probably won't work. I'll see if I can add support to it.

It's not a Telegram thing, but LoyceV's notification bot (7 days retroactive) produces a public list of notifications mentions (so anyone from your group can access it). You can add keywords as alias.

@TryNinja can you add an alert to the bot when average transaction fees drop below a specific threshold (e.g. 10, 5 sats)? It would really help with timing REAL transactions to get them through.

It should be done this week! I assume normal mentions (i.e @SirJohnVonSlotty) and merits aren't the focus on your group? I was thinking about disabling them and allowing group admins to add tracked topics and phrases, what do you think? Feel free to suggest other stuff you need.

Hey, try running /reset and see if it helps. It should clear all conversations the bot thinks you're having (like adding a tracked topic, the first setup, etc...).

Just don't forget to mute or disable sound in telegram, or you will get nuts from all the beeps and notifications

New Update!

You can now add the bot on group chats. Just add the bot and run /start once. As usual, you can always get the menu by sending /menu.

Only admins can make changes and interact with the bot (other users can see the menu and read the notifications, of course).

Besides mentions and merits (disabled for group chats), you can do anything the bot normally allows you to do:
- Add tracked topics, phrases, boards, users.
- Ignore topics, users.

I have a complaint about the Superbot notifier on telegram and I taught maybe the error is from my own end but don't really get why the notifier keeps giving wrong updates in my current merit received, it keeps notifying me that am two merits ahead of my current received merit. At first I taught its just an error glitch for that moment but it keeps persisting and still keep up with the error even though I have restarted the bot on my telegram. Although its not a major thing but its still quite annoying to be getting wrong updates on my received merits please what am I to do about this error or is it normal for everyone?

The predicament you're facing seems to be a mismatch between the displayed number of merits on the bot and your actual number of merits, isn't it? You can give it a shot by using the command /setMerit 145 since I noticed that you currently have 145 merits, whereas the Telegram bot displays 147.

You can find this command on the first page of this post.

/setMerit X - corrects your cached merit count.

Well thanks for the update but I think I can really get the command right as am probably using a mobile phone to access both my telegram and my bitcointalk account but if there is a way to do it with  my mobile please carefully direct me towards it so I can update and actually fix the error but I would say apart from this little issue am experience the bot has actually been very helpful as am now current on the topics where I have actually posted.
