3261  Economy / Speculation / Re: will bitcoin hit under 200 usd this year ? on: September 30, 2014, 08:17:47 PM
$366 is the bottom, no way its going lower..
Would you like to substantiate your claims..? I heard same thing when we hit 420$ few months back then it went upto 650$ then fell down to 600$ , 550$ 500$ 450$ 400$ and now again to 366$ and on each stage they said its not going to sink further low but again next week it goes down ..! I hope you are correct here and things do turn around and I'll not deny the possibility of that happening, but I will not deny the possibility of opposite happening either.

The low point of the massive sell off from earlier this year....

How does no one get this...

~$260 was the last all time high hence peoples idea if we break 366 that would be the next "bottom".
3262  Economy / Speculation / Re: RALLY!!!!! on: September 30, 2014, 08:16:23 PM
While 393 is nice... We need +1300 to get excited.
3263  Economy / Speculation / Re: Dumpers are gone , bottom has been reached (366) on: September 30, 2014, 08:13:23 PM
Time to buy now before its too late..

Why not buy at $14 or $2?

Because going to $14 and $2 is impossible or you wont buy it if it go to that level..

100 is impossible also, some of those numbers maybe trigger an enormous panic buy, and saying "14 and 2" is very trollish, at tat point bitcoin is considered dead

I'll quote you when it drops below 100$.

I'm going to bet an OZ of silver you never get the chance.
3264  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why BTC is having trouble breaking $360 on: September 30, 2014, 07:00:38 PM
Except it has multiple times??

When was the last time the price dipped below $360 on more than 1 exchange?
3265  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The transaction fee is just ridiculous. on: September 30, 2014, 06:28:26 PM
We are FORCED to pay a tax upon every transaction, and they say Bitcoin doesn't have any taxes? That's just pure crap. Taxation is unconstitutional theft via armed extortion. In Bitcoin's case, it's unavoidable, and is without the armed extortion (YOU ARE FORCED TO PAY).

This is not true.. you can have your miners do your transactions for no fee.
3266  Economy / Speculation / Re: Dumpers are gone , bottom has been reached (366) on: September 30, 2014, 04:36:53 PM
Nothing but wishful thinking. We could easily hit 266. A redistribution of Bitcoin will happen, new players will hop in, current players will panic. Watch and see, this XMAS will be shakky as hell.

I think you are right.. I believe many will sell to cover presents.. :S
3267  Economy / Speculation / Re: will bitcoin hit under 200 usd this year ? on: September 30, 2014, 02:00:11 PM
$366 is the bottom, no way its going lower..

It is possible but very low odds.

IMO there are too many people like you and I that will buy BTC at $366 but who knows.
3268  Other / Off-topic / Re:Blockchain.. on: September 30, 2014, 01:59:05 PM
The point of my asking is that I think it's fair that people should bill these people for adding things that are unrelated to bitcoin, since we would have to download what we dont want.. now this would be another cool way to kill bitcoin.. add so much useless crap to the block chain that it become's un-economically viable to download said blockchain? Cant they create their own blockchain for their own purposes like many crypto currencies? No? They should be billed.

Edit, Every bitcoin user who downloads the blockchain that contains material that is not directly related to bitcoin should be automatically paid 1 btc just for the added extra's, by those doing the adding.

They should be billed........................................ .... wat.. this isn't the FED banking system.
3269  Economy / Speculation / Why BTC is having trouble breaking $360 on: September 30, 2014, 01:56:38 PM
Amount of BTCers 10 000 000

Avg capital of BTCer 30k.

Avg capital ready to move into BTC 5k.

10 000 000 * 500 = 5 000 000 000

These numbers are not exact but the principle holds..  Manipulation, charts, trends, etc mean shit.

It all comes down to the amount of people that love Gold(BTC) * Capital they control that will be used to buy gold(BTC)

Proof? +10 000 years of history.
3270  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Do People Buy With There Bitcoin? on: September 30, 2014, 01:51:14 PM
Is this identical from 2011..?

Wait I didn't read the date..
3271  Other / Off-topic / Re:Blockchain.. on: September 30, 2014, 01:47:48 PM
Watchin ole max keiser discussing bitnation, and something ocured to me.. seems everyone is adding stuff to the blockchain that is nothing to do with bitcoin. Now say I download the blockchain, do I have to also download whatever else the blockchain is used for, or can we block that 'extra' crap?

Everything comes with it.  This can be a powerful tool.  I'm telling you in 20-30 years when programmers start to get into the ruling age.. shit is going to get amazing.  If we can make it that far without the dinosaurs messing it up.
3272  Other / Off-topic / Re: Just lost 8 BTC on: September 30, 2014, 01:45:49 PM

My other post about inflation got deleted, but what do you think is driving the price down? Are people scared of the inflation or lack of utility of BTC or something else?

None knows for sure. But the 'selling' isn't done in a way to get best price so this whole thing seems manipulated to me. I don't think the little guy is driving this decline, just heavy speculators who think more can be made going down then up rather than vice versa.

Price suppression schemes can work in fooling the market but not indefinitely. The payoff is a rising price in the underlying once big players have built a position (banks etc).

As on ramps emerge and bitcoin bounces along things should be ok. Growing user numbers and scarcity of coins in time will mean a rising tide of bitcoin buyers will eventually lift the boat.

Something like this IMO..  I believe this rocket already has a captian and they are currently kicking out weak hands waiting until they feel the position is perfect to ingite start off.

I am half expectig to see double digits at one point :S.

Fear and manipulation..

If you are a billionare.. this is the best chance to double.. triple.. 10 fold your money in the past.. at least 100 years.

With how small the total networth cap of BTC is and it's proprties...  oooh the manipulating you could do..

Smiley

according to
http://www.coinwarz.com/calculators/bitcoin-mining-calculator/?h=2000.00&p=1500.00&pc=0.10&pf=0.00&d=34661425923.97690000&r=25.00000000&er=378.50000000&hc=1500

which i use to compare price of 1 bitcoin and the price of electricity to generate 1 bitcoin, using latest bitcoin miner spec on the market. I get result that 1 bitcoin at this moment cost around 125usd in electricity  alone. this without maintenance/internet/human cost.  this mean no rational miner should be selling under 200 usd.

but do you think btc trader will sell under 200 usd.

Thanks for your input
 Wink

I just spent 700$ to acquire some stock. Let's say it is 10 dollars a piece so I have 70. If you think it doesn't make sense that I will sell it for 8$ just because it cost me 10$ to acquire then you don't understand what happens everyday in the stock market. It doesn't matter what it cost to purchase/create etc.. if it becomes worth less than that you will still sell it if it obviously losing value.

So two things, yes they will sell for less than it cost to acquire and yes they will stop mining.

I won't sell at a loss... it would appear many BTCers are king bag holders as well.. this same concept is why gold is still worth something...  I and many others never sell our  mind coins.
3277  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / The coin destroyer pool on: September 29, 2014, 08:16:59 PM
Just had this idea floating around in my head...  Not that I would join the pool or start one but would it be possible to make a pool who's only purpose is to double spend coins of ALTs that have pathetic network hash rates?
3278  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Would any SCRYPT coins like to merge-mine with Dogecoin? on: September 29, 2014, 08:15:30 PM
I think that this is good idea to merge with DOGE.
I would be more effect and maybe good price when all SCRYPT were on one multi.

This is only my opinion

It's already happend.. I still don't get it though lol.  Do I get Doge if I mine LTC or it only works the other way where I get LTC for mining doge..?

IMO everyone overestimated miners greed and widly widly WIDLY underestimated miners love for a coin.

I use several of my miners to help secure my fav small altcoin.  IDGAF if I am making zero on the coins and actually losing $ on electricity.. This is not the only purpose of a miner...

We have yet to see the potential of miners used as weapons though so this may have been a good idea..
3279  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: League of Legends Winner Take All Doge Tournament on: September 29, 2014, 08:09:33 PM
Soooo wasn't real sure about the forum since this is about doge + betting.  If I need to move it feel free to tell me to.

I was thinking about this this weekend since doge appeals to the younger crowd.  I thought I'd see if anybody was interested.

So my thinking is this. I setup a cool site to track a tournament in LoL. Get a longstanding trusted escrow from bitcointalk to hold doge entries (10,000 doge per team). Goal would be to have 64 entries. Six games, one weekend. Winner takeall of 640,000 doges minus escrow fee.
How many people would be interested in this?

This might be difficult for 5 v 5.  Perhaps 1 v 1 howling abbys?

I would be interested in either, just an FYI it might take you a month and a bit to get this all setup and going the first time.

You can never really "get away with it" because the guilt/shame will have an effect on your character/emotions.

Sociopath, that is all.
