I like Madrid at home.  City has been so hot and cold this season, it's difficult to predict which team is going to show up.  Still, I expect a high scoring game, 3-2, so if I were a gambling man I would take the over.

I also predict that Jueventus will have an aggregate advantage to take home.  I don't see Lyon taking the upset today.  It's going to be fun watching both games, though.  This is when the UEFA starts getting fun.
Today Juventus playing like yesterday we have Barcelona as I was also expecting some good number of goals in both matches but no good action from visiting teams both are trailing by 1 goal so look like Real will win and Lyon can go in any side mean draw or win for Lyon even Juventus is doing some better job in today match.

Lol, so much for my predictions.  Crazy turn of events in both of today's games.  Juventus getting shutout, City takes home the aggregate from Madrid.  Good thing I'm not a gambler, or I would be a sore loser today.  Shocked

I agree that Bloomberg had a better night than the previous debate.  He even tried a little self-deprecating humor, which made him seem more human, less robotic.  I don't know if he's just deadpan all the time, or if he's thinks he's being professional by minimizing his facial expressions.  Regardless of his demeanor, and despite his wealth he struck me as the most "down-to-earth" and rational person on the stage last night.

I have to disagree with about Joe's performance.  Every time he speaks it's a guessing game of whether he's going to say something coherent, or go off on some loopy senile tangent.  It's getting to be that the former is more surprising than the latter.  Even when he is coherent, he's obviously searching for and stumbling over words.  The stuttering isn't helping him either.

Bernie was being Bernie, and last night might be the beginning of the end for him.  Maybe Bloomberg paid off the audience to boo Bernie, or maybe the Democratic party is finally waking up from it's WOKENESS and seeing his socialist policies for what they are; un-American.  The rest of the candidates seemed fake and orchestrated.  Warren always seems fake.  Klobuchar seems like she's still stumbling through the process, even surprising herself that she's still in the race.  Tom Steyer (I thought he dropped out already!) looks like a water-logged bobble-head doll, and sounds like a broken record stuck on Trump Derangement.

DireWolfM14's award for the most highly-polished empty suit goes to Pete Buttigieg.  Every thing that comes out his mouth sounds like scripted, oxygen wasting empty noise.

If I were to base my predictions on last night's debate alone, I would say that Bloomberg is only on that stage that has half a prayer to beat Trump in November.

Congrats LFC_Bitcoin.  It's nice to see the old timers are still active and participating.  You are definitely one of the more enjoyable members here, and I hope to keep seeing you around for decades to come.

I'll do what I can to help you get to 3000 merit, but since I'm not a source (and I'm a cheapskate) It'll have to be one at a time.   Tongue

I wouldn't bet big on Liverpool as I think it will be close, but I think they can get the job done there. If they can beat Barca 4-0 at Anfield then they can beat ATL, but away goals can be deadly. If ATL get an early goal the game will be completely different, but we've seen Liverpool can play under pressure in the Barca match and last nights game.

It's definitely risky putting big bets on LFC, as they showed they are not invincible.  The game at ATL was a good demonstration.  By all metrics, their statistics for the game suggest they should have one, time of possession, pass accuracy, 7 corners...  But they had 8 shots with none on target.  Atletico figured out some thing to stop the juggernaut.

I have no doubt that they will score at least two when playing ATL at Anfield, and proceed in the CL, but they're not going to get any thing fro free.  I imagine every club in the CL want to see LFC toppled, and will bring forth their best game.  Look at the inspired way West Ham played against them.  It's going to be like that for the rest of their EPL and CL matches.

Bayern got an easy win vs Chealsea, It was easy predictable the gap is too big.

I'm not surprised by Bayern winning the match, but damn that is a big gap.  I thought Chelsea would be able to keep it competitive at Stamford Bridge, but now it looks like leg 2 is just going to be a waste oxygen.  There is no way they'll be able to score 4 goals in Munich.

Hi DireWolf, I just made part payment of 0.0041 BTC of my outstanding loan

6c25d41aad0aec0e54823e94318b374f326fea42679aca00c84420f5c505ce9e

Receipt of partial payment confirmed.  Thank you.

Hi Direwolf,

Would you accept fiat either GBP/USD/EUR at collateral on a 0.05BTC?

Loan Amount: 0.05 BTC
Loan Purpose: Trading
Collateral: fiat?
Repayment Date: 5th March 2020

Thanks

I'm afraid not.  If you can convert your Fiat into a stable-coin, I'll accept that.  The trouble is there's no way for me to accept Fiat in a non-reversible method, and I have trust issues.

3272  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Someone else's wallet? on: February 25, 2020, 04:44:43 PM
What makes you think it was someone else's wallet?  Did it contain transactions that you did not make, or addresses you do not recognize?  Different derivation paths will generate a completely new set of addresses.  If you see transactions then yes, you may have stumbled on someone else's seed phrase but that seems extraordinarily unlikely.

I am tired and excited at the same time. Good night.

It was a great match after all.

That was a good match, West Ham played amazingly well.  If they can play that way at Anfield it makes you wonder how they've only manged 6 wins all season.  Hats off for playing a great game.  That goal by Salah must have broken Fabianski's heart.  That's what you call a "Moral Victory."

Congrats to LFC, they're home streak is still alive.  Four more wins, and everyone else gets to fight for second place.

I might suspect you are a body snatcher from the planet Xenon,

You'd be wrong.  I'm booty scratcher from the planet Terra.  Kiss

that doesn't give me a right to preemptively shank you in the name of protecting your potential victims.

WTF is this, a prison yard?  Who has been "shanked?"  Demonstrable proof, please.

I wouldn't trust you with a dirty diaper.

You shouldn't.  Your dirty diapers are not my responsibility, and I refuse to be held accountable for your tendency to soil your britches.

@MagicByt3

If there's one lesson you should take away from this fiasco it's that zeros matter!  0.1, 0.01, and 0.001 are not the same thing.  When you use them interchangeably people get confused.  In one of your posts you seemed to leave out a zero, referring to one bid as "0.1."  I didn't see anyone bidding that high.  In another you seemed to suggest that jimjam123 bid "0.02."  Again, nothing in the thread or jimjam123's post history corroborates that statement.

Tecshare's frustration seemed to only exacerbate your tendency to make mistakes, which only further frustrated Tecshare.  In the future try to be more careful about what you write, and try to be very clear in your instructions.  Accepting bids of 0.002 while your starting price is 0.01 is quite confusing.  It seems that you were expecting people to understand that you interpret that as a total bid of 0.012.  That's not the way things are done, and only fueled the participants confusion.

$500 loan for gambling?

It's one thing to gamble away your own money if you know you can afford it, but borrowing money for gambling is a bad precedent.  In fact, it suggests that you might have a gambling addiction.

I don't gamble, and I usually refrain from lecturing people about the way the spend their money, so take this for what it's worth: It's rare for people to have the self discipline to actually win consistently.  Casinos and sportsbooks wouldn't exist for very long if their clients kept winning.  But they do exist, and many flourish.  What does that tell you?
3277  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: February 24, 2020, 08:58:19 PM
I'm at work, trying to watch the game on the computer while I (he'hem) try to get some work done, lol.  It's not working.  I keep getting interrupted, people coming into my cubical to ask me stupid questions about things that don't pertain to Premier League in the slightest.  Roll Eyes

Oh well, it's on DVR so I'll just have to watch it tonight while cooking dinner or some mundane task.

No clean sheet for Alisson today, which is surprising.  I don't expect LFC to start gliding along on cruise control, Klopp would have a cow and heads would roll.

It looks like there's a suspicion that a religious group may be spreading the virus in South Korea.  Too soon to tell if it's intentional or if it's coincidental, but something like half of the cases in South Korea can be traced back to the attendees of an event hosted by this group.  The fact that they think their leader is the second coming of Jesus Christ sure doesn't help quell the suspicion that it's intentional.

Anyway, I have the feeling that today is gonna be the day that Liverpool is gonna get a defeat and the reasons are the following ( just my opinions )

LOLz!  It might be worth betting a dollar on every LFC opponent for the rest of the season, just case they do drop a match.  But today, I think you're better off spending that dollar on a lottery ticket.  Your odds of winning are likely to be much higher!  Cheesy

Since we're all guessing about which teams are likely to be relegated this year, I throw my opinion into the mix:

Norwich: but that's a no-brainer.  They've lost 17 games already this season, and they would need more than one miracle to climb out of relegation.
Aston Villa: 16 losses, and a tough stretch of games coming up.

For the last one, I'm torn between Bournemouth and West Ham.  I certainly hope it's not Watford, although I can't rule out the possibility.  All three have some seriously winnable games coming up, and a few matches they are sure to lose.  Going solely by their upcoming schedule I think Watford may have the easiest path going forward, and Bournemouth has the toughest.
3280  Economy / Reputation / Re: DireWolf14 : Trust exaggeration on: February 24, 2020, 05:39:53 PM
As you are learning, there are many around here who will abuse their position to attempt to scam people.  The difference between someone building their credit score in real life, or building their trust score here on the forum is Identification.  IRL, you will be held accountable for defaulting on a credit card.  Here it is difficult, if not impossible to hold someone accountable for defaulting on a loan.

Additionally, the trust system has been used by many to build a reputation, who then abuse the trust that reputation instills.  Anytime someone is obviously trying to build a trusted reputation, it suggest to others that their might be ulterior motives.  It might be cynical and paranoid, but that doesn't mean they're wrong.
