3261  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Gonzalez vs Martinez on: February 26, 2022, 01:38:27 AM
The thing is that Martinez is moving up in weight, so the question is, can he bring his power to this division? I highly doubt it so I'm not seeing him knocking out Gonzalez even if he is old and could be out of prime. Martinez just grab this fight because it's a perfect opportunity for him, but it could backfire if he losses this one. And if he losses the fight, what will happen to his unification fight with Sunny Edwards? Big gamble on his part for accepting it, but we will see.
I guess has you have said, the opportunity is there so why not grab it and see how it goes for him?
He seems to be too confident if he says he can knock out Gonzalez because no one has yet beaten him by knockout. So I don't think that Martinez has something specially in him that he can just do it to the great Gonzalez. On the contrary, he could be the one getting knock out here for all we know.

There are some circumstances where the replacement dominated the favorite one of this is the Ugas - Pacquiao, Ugas the replacement beat Pacquiao by unanimous decision, and everyone was caught by surprised, Gonzalez should not underestimate Martinez he still has time to adapt his strategy to Martinez style, if Gonzalez plays it right he can beat Martinez and we can have the trilogy in the future.

Gonzalez have seen it all, so I don't think that because he will be facing Martinez he will be underestimating him. On the contrary, he might really train hard for this fight because he doesn't want to get upset by someone. And if Martinez wins then probably we will not see the trilogy anymore as Gonzalez might retire for good.

The truth is that Gonzalez would be a shame if he retired from Boxing, as you say, if those events happen, there is no possibility that this trilogy could happen? there are many events that have happened this year in boxing, Tyson not fighting, the problem that occurred with some boxers, the long-awaited GGG vs Murata fight, the problem with Myweather with the money that was not paid to his opponent, I see that many things have escaped the boxing federation worldwide, and I think that the pandemic has a lot to do with this.

Pandemic is one of the factors that affected the profitability of the fight, but as the crowd is already allowed to watch the boxing fight, the boxing entertainment industry will be able to recover and the opportunity to make a big bucks is going to be present again, timing is very important as of course no promoter would promote a fight if they will not make money from their investment.

Not just profitability of boxing events, but even the boxers themselves are being affected by covid-19 like  Estrada, that's why his training is so poor because of his health that his trainer says no to a trilogy.

And we have seen fighters coming back from the covid-19 and then lost the fight. Maybe it has really affected them physically. But yeah, we should move on and just survived this pandemic.
3262  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin price goes down as Russia begins Ukraine invasion on: February 26, 2022, 01:02:25 AM
It just makes sense considering that Russia also has people who rely on bitcoin. Heard that the war between Russia and Ukraine has the potential to open a third world war, and if it's true, it's only natural that the price of bitcoin is affected.

Again, Putin might not want to have the distinction to be the next Hitler, the man that started the next world war. Perhaps he is just flexing his muscle here because he knows that Ukraine is weak. And Nato and US are not that stupid to help Ukraine physically, I mean giving them arms to fight against the Russians.

And as the OP started, the price goes down, but today we have a good chance to hit $40,000 again.
3263  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price support above 30000? on: February 25, 2022, 07:48:40 PM
Indeed, the price of bitcoin corrected very deeply after the news about Russia invading Ukraine where the price of bitcoin fell in the $34K area. But now there is a slight price increase where the price has returned to the $39k area. But I think even though there is an increase at the moment, I indicate that bitcoin will correct back to the $36K support area.

You mean there is a manipulation from behind and possible that this is a bear trap? Yeah, thinking the same as well, so as investors we really need to be very careful. The tension from Russia and Ukraine are still there, we've seen the price going downhill but a huge increase of about 10% in a day. So clearly someone is playing us again. It's about the end of the month anyways, so hopefully our hunch is wrong and we can see the price hitting the $40,000 mark.
3264  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Conditions of bounty campaigns these days on: February 25, 2022, 05:28:36 AM
Hello guys
Are you guys really getting paid from the Bounty campaigns these days? What are you earning on an average per week? How many campaigns are you working in?
I think alot of changed since 2018.

I'm not sure because I haven't been in a bounty campaign. But as far as my existence in this community for years, yeah, things have change for the worst with regards to bounties.

Some of them are blatantly scams in the beginning, like asking for your private keys in order to get your rewards. And then there's is campaign that don't pay their participants and even the bounty managers have been accused of colluding with the project itself.

And that's why experience users here says that bounty campaign is a risk because you don't know if you are going to get paid and then the project itself, maybe it will be successful in the future, maybe it's not.
3265  Economy / Economics / Re: Russia's Stock Market Amidst War Against Ukraine on: February 25, 2022, 04:43:30 AM
It's because Putin's ego, and he is willing to put everything in line here just to win the war. As someone said, no one really wins here, it's brother to brother and yet Putin didn't think about the consequences. For him Ukraine should be annex by Russia and they don't want NATO or any other countries in the West ally with Ukraine. US and EU quickly imposes sanctions against the country in response to his attacks. As for the stock markets, yeah, it's obviously any country that is involve will suffer.
3266  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: February 25, 2022, 03:48:34 AM

I have nothing to say about how long the process will take, my point is that the judge should be fair.

In the Philippines, it will take forever, especially if the accused has enough money to fight for the case. However, this is not good for him if there's enough evidence to convince him, it's better to settle it the soonest so the problem will not get worst and will not distract his training.

I don't think that Casimero will have the financial to fight this case so that it will be prolong. He is one of those boxers who is also a rag to riches story like Manny is. However, he may have to contact powerful personality to convince the girl to drop the charges in exchange of huge amount of money and they can go on with their lives.
3267  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bustabit.com unfairness on: February 25, 2022, 02:51:39 AM
Maybe you can post your accusations here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=83.0

And maybe you can get some audience about your allegations. Anyhow, I just wanted to say that they have a pretty good reputation here in the community (not taking sides).

I guess this should be a lesson for you though, loaning someone with $6k? that's huge amount of money and I wouldn't trust someone specially in crypto space, even if you know the guy personally.
3268  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: February 25, 2022, 01:21:45 AM
Pretty obvious, it will be a big upset if Josh Taylor will lose in this fight, and not only that, he will also lose the opportunity to fight Crawford. Even though I believe that he will win the fight but I'm not risking 850 USD just to win 100 USD, that's insane.

Same here. Even it's a sure win or the chance is high, can't risk that kind of amount for a few bucks.

I'd rather bet on the winning method in favor of Josh Taylor. A Win by Knock Out seems more chances to happen instead of Decision.

I need more time to analyze the fight if ever I decide to place a bet.

The fight will be this weekend, so better be hurry if you want to bet on this one.

And as others said, one sided fight, so it's going to be a deliberate and long night for  Jack Catterall.

Taylor promises a beat down and this will likely going to happen and Josh will dictate where the fight will go.
3269  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto prices are starting to strengthen again on: February 24, 2022, 04:15:30 AM
The Russian war between Ukraine is over and there is new news that Ukraine has accepted crypto openly and this indicates the progress process for bitcoin that there are other countries that are willing to accept bitcoin even though it is not for legal payments.
The conflict isnt over yet and hopefully will not start any war. The war may not be the reason of the crypto bear market but somehow many users in Russia or other investors are thinking of the possibility of war that leads them to withdraw their crypt holdings, that affects the market. There is a need for a much better news that will influnce themaret to fully recover not just the legalizing of bitcoin in Russia, but hopefully a news of peace between two countries.

But again, in the last 8 hours, their is a massive price drop to $35,000 so the scare of the conflict is still with us despite that there are governments like US trying to avert it at all cost because this is going to be ugly not just for both sides of Ukraine and Russia, but for the whole world as everyone will be affected including the crypto market. So we really need to observe this news and it's effect on us, whether we cash out or hold still.
3270  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for Feb on: February 24, 2022, 03:34:43 AM
^  Dunno...  I mean I was hopeful but as the month passed, it’s more looking like it’s done.  BTC did a strong bounce from 33k and hit local top at 44.5k - 45k twice then down again.  There’s a small bounce right now but that also looks like it’s losing momentum.  There’s just not enough new money coming in anymore.  It’s obv not the same conditions we had as last year.  But we’ll see..  I could be wrong.

Locking the thread in a couple of days.

Yeah, and it shows that February is not really a strong month for Bitcoin... again. We have a good bounce to $45,000 attempted to break that barrier twice but to no avail.

And as we end this month, we might be in the same position as we enter it, going $35,000 now. Seems another set of sellers are on the move. Not sure what the reason again, we have top to $38k yesterday but now it's an avalanche of selling again. Might be taking profits and then there are panic sellers.
3271  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Errol Spence Jr vs. Yordenis Ugas 3-Belt Welterweight Unification Match on: February 24, 2022, 03:04:25 AM
Ugas does not have any chance of winning this. Spence (27-0, 21 KO).

The record tells it all but it doesn't mean Ugas don't stand a chance. He is not your typical underdog. He has the strength and power to win against Spence but it will be a tough way for sure.

Even Spence is the heavy Favorite to win the fight, I will not conclude right away that he's the sure winner.

The odds are tempting for Ugas. I hope it will increase more while the fight approach. I might risk a bet for him and see if I will be lucky.

Yeah, that is the main thing for us gamblers, it's tempting to bet on Ugas, even for just small amount. We haven't heard about Ugas in the 147 lbs but his win against Pacquiao is big that we take notice of him.

Although Spence is the heavy favorite to win, Ugas can still be a treat, just like in his fight against Porter wherein Spence was the favorite but he has to go to a lot before he can win.
3272  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING]: RYAN GARCIA vs EMMANUEL TAGOE - April 9 on: February 24, 2022, 02:17:59 AM

But Ryan Garcia is very young at 23. Although his period of inactivity could have taken a toll somehow in his abilities, we could say that it can hardly make a dent in his athleticism and dexterity. Every time I watch Ryan Garcia fight, I am always excited. He is full of energy. He could hit you and chase you all throughout the round. You couldn't take a rest when the fighter in front of you is Ryan Garcia. He is simply full of life.

We will see how Tagoe prepares for such a youthful and powerful opponent. I hope he could also deliver a brilliant fight himself.

No doubt Ryan is one brilliant fighter but it's taking him so long to get a legit title this year The Golden Boy promotion is planning to Deathroned Kambosos and beat Haney but we have seen this before they planned Ryan to face Haney then Tank but Haney and Tank have gone through a lot of great fights already and Ryan is on health vacation, I hope he is now ok and ready to take the road to greatness, he needs to fight tough names in boxing for him to move forward.

It will be a tough fight for Kambosos, not sure though if Ryan can get to him because it's either Loma or Haney that's being groom for George to fight next.

This will be a big test for Ryan even if he has all the advantage to knock out Tagoe, Emmanuel will really bring the fight to Ryan and tested if he can last 12 rounds.
3273  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin: Does Warren Buffet change his mind? on: February 24, 2022, 01:21:56 AM
Does his opinion about Bitcoin matter anyway? Whether he keeps making negative opinions about cryptos or "changing" his stance about Bitcoin. I don't think it does matter. The long term success of Bitcoin can't be affected by opinions of a few old school folks, so this shouldn't even make news at all.

Yeah, this is no longer 2017 wherein every opinion of these so called billionaire stock traders are taken very high. Now if we hear Warren in media, we just shrug our shoulders and move on.

Just like if Elon Musk tried to tweet positively or negatively about Bitcoin right now, do you think markets would react like it was in the past? I doubt.

Elon Musk lost his touch already, if any, then only a few are affected by his tweets. We are also done with him, maybe he can move the altcoin market. But Bitcoin? no impact whatsoever.
3274  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC over 50k? on: February 23, 2022, 05:07:47 AM
For my experience, Bitcoin is long term survive for long term investment crypto. If you short time bitcoin price prediction, i think it will be not help you. This momentum look to see bitcoin up and down. Bitcoin now level $39k but previous week BTC price was around $42k+.I think bitcoin price will hit $50k+ this year.
$50k isnt really too far to reach out on this year but you know that most people would really be looking forward much towards price on where they do really expect that much which is way more higher.

Yeah, but right now, its a big barrier for us, so far we have tested $45,000 and that's it. There is no momentum so what's more for a $50,000?

Now we are experiencing drops which is typical for this market and now people are freaking out on whats happening but to be wise this is the best time for you to buyback or buy on the dip
but just as usual on where people do really hesitates on doing so in these times which isnt surprising if you do ask me.

And this is the main reason, price are dropping like hotcakes right now, we've seen last month around $32,000-$33,000 lows. And now it's around $35,000. So we are still in bad condition, market might be in a bear market in the long run, just saying.
3275  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: GGG vs Murata - Reschedule on: February 23, 2022, 04:24:54 AM
I don't think that a trilogy is not hard to make, I mean GGG is willing, and it's up to Canelo to sign. And if Canelo doesn't have any options maybe we will see this fight happening. The question is if GGG can still compete at a high level maybe in the next year or so?

I don't think it will happen.

1) GGG is interested but Canelo is not. The latter already closed the book for a trilogy since he claimed he had already won twice. What's the purpose for the 3rd?

2) Canelo has lots of options to fight. Remember that he's now moved up on the Cruiserweight to beat champions there. He has a long lineup of future fights that can be arranged instead of fighting GGG.

It could be but if you look at his options right now, yeah, lots of them.

But can those fight give him the money that he can get from fighting and closing the book on GGG?

For sure this is going to be one of the most anticipated fight and it could rival Fury vs Wilder trilogy as far as financial incentives for Canelo.
3276  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: February 23, 2022, 03:35:47 AM
There's good chance that Medvedev becomes world no.1 if he wins Acapulco. Djokovic has to win Dubai to stay close. It is uncertain if Djokovic will get a chance to play in the US swing of tournaments(Miami, Indian Wells) as he's not allowed to enter the United States while being unvaccinated. He will likely apply for exemption again and it rests in the hands of US authorities. Medvedev will have a really good shot at staying world no.1 until the year end. Its unfortunate to see that a GOAT contender tennis player isn't allowed to play because he doesn't want to inject a vaccine. Not like tennis is a contact sports and the players aren't monitored at all.

I don't think he will get an exemption though, the Tennis Federation already knows what is the consequences already as they have seen it in Australia and I don't think the US will want to make a story out of Djokovic. So good if Medvedev can overtake Djokovic and become the number 1 player even if for brief moment. The pressure should be on Djokovic now, to get vaccinated to be able to compete. If not then it's his call.
3277  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: February 23, 2022, 03:07:49 AM

I also think the same that they now pass the struggle of controlling Casimero's condition and right now, they are just maintaining it until the date of the fight. Unfortunately that they need to find a solution to that condition instead of focusing only on his usual practice.

Pual Butler knows that issue and will do everything to make that Casimero's condition to his advantage. Since he's the one hungry for the title, he will do everything to win on that match too.

If that's the case on Butler's side, it would be a great challenge for Casimero.

And knowing this guy, he wanted that call, a toe to toe exchanging of punches will delight him. Casimero always wanted to impress
his fans, if Butler will try to aggressively finished him due to his current condition, he will respond and will bring also the best in him,
the last fight against Rigo is a boring one, let see if this will bring different scene to all viewers.

If Butler is really thinking that he is already on the advantage side just because of Casimero's current condition then just let him think that way so that he will go and charge head-on to see if he's indeed right, let's see who will pass out first. Besides, we already know that Casimero would really want that Butler will go at him and exchange punches until the bell rings. He wants an interesting match so that he can entertain his fans this time to at least make up about his match against Rigo.

Well if he think that Casimero will be an easy opponent for him just because of his past condition well maybe he will lost since Casimero will not put his guards down towards his opponent. We know how Casimero became a beast when he's opponent taunt him up so I guess this is bad for Butler if he try to get on Casimero's head. Lets just see here if he will now show the same like Rigo fighting style.

I don't think that Butler or any of his team has that kind of mindset. They are the challenger here so they know they need no stone un turn in their training. For sure they are focus right now in the upcoming fight with Casimero. Because this is a ice breaker for them. If he wins they he can go and fight anyone at the division and maybe he can get Inoue or Donaire for unification fight.
3278  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Amir Khan vs Kell Brook - Feb 19, 2022 on: February 21, 2022, 01:24:45 AM
It's over now, Kell Brook beats Khan when the referee stop the fight at 6th rounds. There was no resistance from Khan, yes he still has quick hands, but once Brook gets going and started to hit Khan, Amir's body language has change. I gave all the rounds to Kell Brook prior to the stoppage of the referee.

It's just a matter of time before Brook found that perfect opening and then knock the hell of out Khan, so good intervention by the referee to stop it. And you can see that there are no objection from Khan and his corner because they know that they are really down on scorecard and Amir is getting weaker by every round. Congrats to those who beat on Brook the votes shows the intelligent of boxing community here as the vote is like 2:1 for Brook to win.

Brook is the favorite to win the fight and he delivers nowhere to go for Khan but to retire, it's a second straight loss for Khan, Brook is the hungry fighter and motivated fighter in this fight always chasing and always connecting with his punches, there's a huge disparity of punches Brook really overwhelmed Khan here, it's a one-sided match and I thought Khan will give Brook a hard win.

Yeah, same here, I thought that Khan will somehow make it a close fight. But when he was hurt early, when he was tag and his legs gets wobbly, it was the beginning of an end for him. And Brook is just walking him, didn't mind Amir Khan's punch because he knows he can take it. Indeed, good decision to settle down, but hopefully he has investment his money well he earn from boxing so that he can live a modest to good life for him and his family.
3279  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC over 50k? on: February 21, 2022, 12:43:02 AM
~
But, there's a crisis between Russia and Ukraine that most people are predicting that there would be a pump if the war continue. As far as I'm concerned, war is not the answer to all of the problem that's why it needs to be done by debating or discussion.

And $50k is just a picture right now although, it did pump last year though the price seem to be so quick to dump.
The media is hyping about the war but i doubt we will see a full blown war as Russia knows the damage that they could encounter as the US is looking for an opportunity to begin a war and thereby carry out their business interest with Ukraine. If a real war breaks out then the other financial market will go down and you should expect the cryptocurrency market will go down as well as majority will book their profit.
Yes, it is true. There is urge in the war between Ukraine and Russia. No one knows the true reality of cryptocurrency, because market is being dominated by the media. We are in a situation to believe what the media says. It is true that the price of bitcoin is impacted by the war, and it could reach $35k in the following days.

So far the market bloodbath has stop to $38,000, although not good to see the market going below the $40,000 support levels, for now it has settle down and this could be the lowest that we can go with the negative news on the Russia vs Ukraine potential war.

Good news though for those who want to take advantage of the current market situations because BTC is cheap and they can reinvest again. No need to wait for the price to like $32,000 again as I don't think it will happen. This is a good time to buy.
3280  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: February 20, 2022, 02:39:59 AM
^^ I would think that it will be Probellum who is going to happen Casimero's career moving forward. And maybe Casimero will hire someone in-between, and maybe that's where Rachel might enter in the picture. Similar to what Pacquiao did in his career, he has Top Rank but then have Michael Koncz or another Filipino lawyer. And with that meeting, I don't think that we will see Donaire vs Casimero fight in the future. Maybe both Filipinos are targeting Inoue and unseat him in this division.

Yep, probably he needed someone that can really understand the ins and outs of contract before signing it. As we all know that maybe there could be some "lost in translation" along the way, so it's better that he have someone in his shoulder that will look upon and scrutinized and explained it to John Riel that he will understand. So we have like 8 weeks to go, great time to really start that training and peak at the right time for this fight.

Lost in translation is the appropriate words for what's happening to Team Casimero right now. I've read that Sean Gibbons is planning to file a lawsuit against Johnriel to have him replace with Sultan for that championship fight. Damn, this should have not gone this far if only they have someone explain to Casimero what MP Promotions wants best for his career.

Let's just hope that this fight will proceed and Casimero will still be victorious so he can face Inoue in the future.

Ouch, it Sean Gibbons proceed with his lawsuit then it will be hard for Casimero to move on and fight Butler. So there is a crack right now on Filipino boxers, it seems MP and then Casimero and Donaire on the other hand. Not good for Philippine boxing, they should at least be at one pages for the honor of the country. Maybe they can settle this out of court so that Casimero can fight Butler as scheduled this April.
