This is the kind of fight that we would like to see, champion vs champion or the best vs the best. Ugas used Pacman as his stepping stone to have bigger fights and it's a dream come true for him because after Pacman, he now will face Spence, and who knows it will be Crawford next.

It's a battle that he should take, instead of playing safe and fighting the challengers without a belt, he chooses Spence who is better than him in the eyes of the many. It's about time for him to prove that he deserved to be in the top 3 of the welterweight division and that starts by beating Spence in this fight.

Ugas is not like that. He is just going with the flow. Even in a doubt that he can beat Pacquiao, he still accepts the replacement. And now that he won, guess what, it's opened a door to another big opportunity by defeating one of the strongest in the Welterweight.

Spence still has the chance to win but Ugas shouldn't be taken lightly. He is the most determined to win here based on my own observation.
Ugas has the heart to win, but a heart alone could never win matches, he also needs strength, focus, and intelligence.
A lot of people's perspective towards this fight will be Ugas as the underdog with a very slim chances of winning, but I myself see it differently. No matter how strong Spence is, If Ugas pulled the right play for it and control the early rounds, he will have a good chance of winning.

No doubt it's the scenario we will witness if Ugas has the better strategy on this fight. Spence is the heavy favorite, that's understandable because he is a more popular fighter and has some bigger fights compared to Ugas, and also comparing the record of the two, Spence has a flawless record and has been a champion for a while already.
Yordenis Ugas
27-4-0

Errol Spence Jr
27-0-0

Basing on these stats then its clear that when it comes to experience the both are just the same considering on total fights. It is just differs on being undefeated
and having a loss of 4 which do really separate Spence on being much better but considering those odds or chances for Ugas to win would be still
there. It is depending on how he would execute those good blows if spence wouldnt really be that careful.

^^ It's also on the level of opposition the two has face before, so I will give the slight edge to Spence as well. That's why although base on the odds it seems that Spence is a overwhelming favorite, there could be intangibles on Ugas, like fighting being the underdog in almost all of his fights and won, like in the Manny fight and his life experience. So it's really a good and close fight for me, and I'm seeing a 12 rounds decision or even a split decision to Spence by maybe 2 points the most.

Yes, when Spence was making names, he is stepping up the plate and facing good fighters and that's how he build his reputation. He could have gotten Manny and a 'nice to have' in his resume although Manny is already old, but Ugas took advantage and he is the one who won against Manny. Yes, this could be a solid fight for the two but Spence could edge Ugas in the end.

If there was no Ugas and Pacman fight, we will not know that Ugas is a good fighter, it's only Spence and Crawford who are dominating the division, and yet they haven't fought yet. Now, we have one of the biggest and the most entertaining fight, let's support it and support our favorite fighter between the two.

Ugas have that patience to wait if there would be an opening that Spence will allow him, though I'm not sure if he can quickly or easily convert a solid punches if in case he see that opportunity, both fighters are preparing and the stake to this fight is not just a single belt but 3 and a good position for another money fight against Crawford.

We will see if who's going to shine up and take this one.

Both are capable if we are going to base it on their experiences, take your side and place your bet.. Cool Roll Eyes

This is wrong. Ugas don't use Pacman as a stepping stone but he was asked to be a replacement fighter for Spence Jr. It's not that Ugas eagerly requested of it. It's a chance that he grabs right away. It's an opportunity. And since he won, that leads to another big fight.

Ugas prior to defeating Pacman is already out of the discussion in any big fight that's why when he was asked to fight Pacman, he grab it right away even there's roughly just a week to train.

It's very interesting, I don't know how well a boxer knows his possibilities and his body, but at one point in my life I practiced boxing, and I would never have accepted facing someone with so little time to train, this is where what I call sport as "genius" or those people who are born with that special talent, in this case UGAS showed that he has a great capacity, and although Spence is a born boxer with exquisite technique, I think UGAS can do it again. Of course, taking into account Ugas' technique, also taking into account his age and his ability to prepare for a fight in good time, this for me is a primary factor in boxing.

Nothing cant be known until it would be showcased and this is where Ugas should proved out that this is the time for him to show off and prove out that he's not something that could belittled
when he's already inside the ring.

He had beaten up Pacquiao and possibly he would able to beat up Spence which would really be a career changing situation on which he do show up into the world
on what he's capable off.

Somehow this wont be simply yet we know on how good Spence is but doesn't cross out the chance that Ugas could win this fight too.

So the date of this fight is April 16. Ugas is clearly the underdog here. The bookies are in favor with Spence Jr here with the odds that I have seen in one crypto bookie as 1.25 vs 3.75 for Ugas. If you feel that there will be an upset for this match, 3.75 is a very good odds to bet on.

Right from the start, Ugas is really the underdog. In the first place, if he didn't win against Manny, he is out of the topic. He was granted at his request for a unification fight since he got one from Manny.

Ugas is not in his prime years anymore but he believes he can still take a shot at much stronger Errol Spence Jr.

I'm with Spence to win the fight but the odds are tempting to bet on Ugas. I know Ugas is totally not underdog on this match.

Thanks for this, old name pops up, Yuri Gamboa, lol, it seems this dude really needs a paycheck before he retires, and now he is being used as a stepping stone for Isaac Cruz. Gamboa might be knock out here.

For the odds, no surprises here, Ugas might be used to be the underdog in the fight.

But let's see, the fight is just several weeks from know and maybe their training is already on it's peak.

I'm not really interested in the underdog, I'm solely watching the fight to see the main event and I think it will be a one-sided fight as Spence will certainly dominate Ugas here. the odds is so bad for Spence, I am not gonna take it, instead I will go for the KO on per round basis as It gives a fair odds.

Well, that's really up to you, if you were able to subscribe to the PPV, then might as well enjoy all the games because the subscription is not that cheap, unless you can watch it for free.  Spence vs Ugas is really a good treat to us because it's a unification fight, lots of belts are at stake here.

I think he might be  talking about +270 underdog as in Ugas will be in the disadvantage and if he somehow manages to win, it will only count as an unexpected event in which Ugas "finally catches a break". They are just trying to push the underdog thing to make betting on Ugas appear more attractive.  Spence is being given a 80% chance of winning, which I personally think is an underestimation to be honest.

Ugas does not have any chance of winning this. Spence (27-0, 21 KO).

Yes, both are willing to put their belt on the line here. But as far as the odds, Spence seems to be a sure winner. And I agree that a money line bet doesn't makes any sense. Much better to go for a per round winning on him.

But I don't think this will be an easy fight, Ugas might be a good underdog here. He also wanted to show that he belongs to the elite of welterweight after beating Manny and been talking even a fight with Crawford in the future.

Sorry, I disagree, for me, it seems like the odds is not the only way to determine that the fighter is  a sure winner.
If I'm not mistaken, the odds of Pacman vs Ugas is pretty much similar to this fight, but Ugas upset Pacman and retain the belt.

If I can see the odds for per round, I would certainly choose it over a ML bet, that if I will bet on Spence to win.
Remember that Spence was also inactive for a while, so the edge is only Ugas.

Upset can happen here, and I think both of them are in their prime. We all know that odds are sometimes not accurate as we have seen upsets like in the Manny vs Ugas and recently Kambosos vs Lopez. So there is a possibility, might be slim but there are chances that Ugas can pull something here. And if by chance he did and someone here bet on him, then it will be a good win.

Even so, but in terms of quality of course Spence is indeed superior and I think when he was in Ugas the risk was even higher because if we saw earlier he started to look classy as a result of fighting Pacquiao and this made him one of the wanted ones at the time, but on the other hand I didn't see a good performance in every fight even though he won but it can't compare to Spence in my opinion

Ugas does not have any chance of winning this. Spence (27-0, 21 KO).

The record tells it all but it doesn't mean Ugas don't stand a chance. He is not your typical underdog. He has the strength and power to win against Spence but it will be a tough way for sure.

Even Spence is the heavy Favorite to win the fight, I will not conclude right away that he's the sure winner.

The odds are tempting for Ugas. I hope it will increase more while the fight approach. I might risk a bet for him and see if I will be lucky.

Like what happen to pacquaio many thought that he will against Ugas but unfortunately for Pacquaio the Cuban fighter show a impressive power and intelligence towards that fight and he able to defeat Manny on outstanding way so I guess this will be the same on this fight althought what happen to Pacquaio may not happen to spence but for sure Ugas team already have good scouting on how Spence play the floor and might he have good plans and might this one will bring a huge win for Ugas.
