3261  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Redeem Casascius using Electrum 4.1.5 on: July 23, 2021, 03:36:30 AM
I'm trying to redeem a 9 year old Casascius bitcoin using Electrum 4.1.5 and the wallet menu only has sweep as an option. When I try to use p2pkh:PRIVATE KEY syntax, the sweep button does not enable to click sweep. Most documentation from previous versions of Electrum had an option to import private keys and later to sweep...

Is the p2pkh:PRIVATE Key entered in just string like - phpkh:XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
OR
phpkh:
XXXXX
XXXXXX
XXXXXX
XXXXX

Newbie here, any help would be grateful
thanks

Suggestion: You can get more than the value of the Bitcoin and other fork coins inside it when you sell it on forum collectible section(https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=217.0). The premium of the coin will be waste once you peel it. Just use escrow for your transaction to make it safe for you. Just trying to save your casascius coin but if you are already decided to peel it, Follow the advice above my post. PM me if you are willing to sell the peeled coin.  Wink
3262  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling attracted to emotion or luck on: July 23, 2021, 02:53:59 AM
I have noticed that sometimes when I gamble, I used to win unexpectedly even when I never intended to bet. The most shocking thing is that I usually win when my mind is not that prepared to gamble probably jokingly. Anything I'm focused and well prepared I usually lose. I don't know if this is affiliated to luck or just emotions. Does this happens to others?
I think i can relate with your experience though i am also thinking about this for long now if it is really my Emotion or what.

Sometimes when i depressed and going to gamble? surely i will lose but when i felt like being chill and cool? that will comes the win.
Maybe year it is our emotions that attract the luck .

Gambling attracts people because of addiction to earn profit in a fast way. This addiction affects our mental state that's why we have different mood whenever we gamble. Luck is just a probability, so you can be lucky whatever state of mood you are, You are just noticing luck in chill mood because your brain is clear while you feel unlucky when depressed because you can't think clearly.

3264  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / FTX CEO bought out Binance's shares in its company on: July 22, 2021, 11:22:40 AM
I read this article recently and as a BNB holders, I'm worried on this news because it might affect to Binance reputation. The FTX CEO claims that Binance always dodging the regulators and didn't want to cooperate. That's why decided to end the partnership, I follow Sam and I know that he is smart and always obeying regulators in all of FTX subsidiary.

Do you think CZ really don't want to cooperate or is he hiding something?

3265  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are meme tokens dangerous or moon on: July 22, 2021, 09:33:32 AM
I've seen people made millions from meme coins but all I can say is it's based on pure luck, meme coins are pump/dump projects so you will need more than luck here, make sure you know when to buy and when to sell your tokens, meme coins are shit coins from my own perspective

Compared to the number of people getting rekt by memecoin, People who earn massive profit on this shit token are very few and not over 2% because the real person who got profit are those belong to the developer team and early investor that doing rug pull once the token discover and many dumb investors FOMO after the price pump x100 above. If only people analyze first the tokenomics and utility of this kind of token, No one will ever buy on this coin.
3266  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Pancake Swap on: July 22, 2021, 06:32:25 AM
The only thing you need to do is to setup a metamask wallet. Cake is a decentralized application which you can access by importing your BSC wallet. Maybe try to read first about decentralized application before you jump on using pancakeswap to make sure you are doing things right, The only thing you need to remember was Dapps don't require you to require user to create the account. Just connecting your wallet will give you access on the apps. Just remember to keep your private key or recovery seed safe and don't connect on malicious/phishing website.
3267  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Preferred Escrow and why? on: July 22, 2021, 05:09:56 AM
There are so many trusted escrows on this forum that have endured for years and a lot of dealing with escrow with purchases if you have any doubts this is probably one of the favorites for recommendations to the OP.

Hampuz
bL4nkcode
Royse777
etc

There are many options, for me, there is no doubt that if you want to do escrow which is very important, then contact them directly, I think they are all willing.

In addition to this list, Minerjones is the favorite escrow of all time on this forum, Besides that he is very trusted, He can also do a reshipping services on all user that located in US and many more extra feature for a trusted escrow. You can see the proof on his trust score.
3268  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Can We Expect Gambling on Axie Infinity? on: July 22, 2021, 04:14:12 AM
The announcement is meant for a tournament to gain more players out there, This is a common competition for any NFT games or Blockchain games ever since gaming introduced as Dapps. The first time I saw kind of event is on EOS dapps like EOSknight. Implementing a gambling feature on the game will just make the server worst. The game is very laggy and lots of bugs this last few days. I wonder if they can still keep up running a smooth server while the demand is incresing.
3269  Economy / Gambling / Re: BitRoul.com the only Roulette with no Zero and a solid Provably Fair feature on: July 21, 2021, 03:51:19 PM
I will give an honest feedback about the game, First the screen is flashing when the roulette is spinning that cause a bit stress the eyes and its really annoying especially if your eyes is focus on the result of the wheel.

Second there is no max bet cheap available, If ever you have a small portion in your balance, And you to bet it all. You will need to do the math by adding smaller chip count since there's no cap on adding on the board. Usually, your bet bet should max out once you bet already more than your balance but on bitroul, The game will failed to start and you need to reset your bet.

Lastly, add more games if you want to compete on strong casino competitors.

3270  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: July 21, 2021, 10:35:33 AM
I put a bet on the Bucks at -5.5 with odds 2.14. I think they are going to complete their own sweep of the Phoenix Suns after down 0-2. They don't need to go to the Suns home court again, they've already had the momentum in this series.

It might be close but they will have a good lead and possible to win by 10+ points.

So best of luck to everyone. I know that there are a lot of bettors on the Suns side as well, I'm seeing in on stake because the odds are very attractive at 2.60.

It was another crazy game flipping back and forth between sides, I was like it's the Bucks game, but then came the 2nd Quarter where Bucks could even make any basket and when down by 18 points in the quarter.

Congratulations to the Bucks

Me too, I thought there will be a game 7. I was hoping for Suns to win because I want to bet on Bucks in Game 7 since the odds will be almost equal on both teams. I admit that Suns looks pretty strong from there run to Western Conference but they seem didn't find any solution to Giannis brute force to have a complete dominating game against Suns. Suns should improve this weak spot and there field goal seems dropping since Giannis get his tempo of the game.

Will bitcoin go down below $20,000.

100%, absolutely, guaranteed.

Saying "Guaranteed" means you have proof that it really happened. It obvious that we are already on bearish season but there's a lot of strong support before we reach that 20,000$ price level. Knowing there's already big player who plays in crypto market, They might eat up all sell orders once the price reach deeper than the current price. Institution whales is very smart on manipulation, it will backfire to there current holdings once they let the price dip more than the price they accumulate. 20,000$ is accumulation price of institution investor.
3272  Economy / Economics / Re: Investing in Life Insurance using Cryptocurrency on: July 21, 2021, 01:02:06 AM
Six blockchain use cases for health and life insurance companies

Moving towards interoperable, comprehensive health records
The added security and ability to establish trust between entities are two reasons why this technology can help solve the interoperability problem better than today’s existing technologies.

Supporting administrative and strategic imperatives with smart contracts
Blockchain could automatically collect records of agreements, transactions, and other valuable information sets, then link together the information and act on the data using smart contracts.

Detecting fraud more effectively
When fraudulent information is submitted to a life or health insurer via false claims, falsified applications, or other channels, smart contracts can help determine if the submission is indeed valid.

Improving provider directory accuracy
Unique provider directories could leverage the technology’s decentralized consensus protocols to allow providers and insurers to update listings more quickly and easily.

Simplifying the application process by making it more client-centric
Providing an easier-to-access, more comprehensive set of medical records on a blockchain could infuse comfort and peace of mind into what, for many, is now an intrusive and often discouraging application process.

Facilitating a dynamic insurer/client relationship
Electronic health records securely stored on a smart contract could be the foundation for integrating a wide variety of wellness-related behaviors into the insurer/client dynamic.

I have an existing life insurance with an investment package included, I don't any idea about my records, transaction and other updates from them unless I will contact my insurance agent to inquire it for my self. Using blockchain for recording purposes will give a big help for all insurance client to tracks all the services they are paying. Honestly man, I'm just paying monthly premium just in case there's sudden accident or illness hit me to support me financially. Nice to see this thread and I support this idea.

Does the eToro paper trading has a crypto option for demo trading? I am looking for one too so this is a helpful one because I want to do something that is definitely a big mistake but I can learn a lot from it.

eToro offers a limited crypto option for paper trading. The testnet website of bybit is the best place to do a practice trading because it offers the actual feature of the crypto trading which is perfect for newbie that familiarising the crypto trading.
3274  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Art NFT projects confusion on: July 19, 2021, 06:15:19 PM
Buying art NFT is like throwing your money into the canal, a friend got scammed investing in one of those art NFT, the only NFT projects I trust is in game NFT tokens, they are very reasonable to understand and they are surely well demanding than any other since the tokens are used in making upgrades in game world

It depends on what NFT art did you buy. NFT art main use is for collection purposes only, the price of it is just a secondary. The art value is base on the artist fame just like in the real life. Surely this is a waste if collecting art piece is not your thing but for a collectors. This NFT art is a masterpiece since you can carry and view your NFT collection anywhere while you have the ownership on it.
3275  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Which one would you prefer? on: July 19, 2021, 03:12:05 PM
Which is the best strategy for the future

1. Buy altcoins and hold for the next halving season

2. Build mining rigs and start mining some coins like ravencoin and ergo to hold some for the future

Mind you I don't pay for electricity bill cos I have solar installed

You can compute for your ROI for Mining it or just buying it. Determine the time frame of your investment then compute the token that you will mine during that period of time and compared it when you just buy it and wait. The problem on mining was there is no guarantee that your rig will run smoothly all the time and also the coin you are mining might decrease value too over time. But since you have the advantage of free electricity, Mining might be profitable in your case, Just invest properly on your rig and maintenance.
3276  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Staking on: July 19, 2021, 02:03:44 PM

Invest $100,000 at $12.77 per CAKE

Total Reward Rate: 68.53%

Est Monthly Earnings: $5,632.93 or 438.36965 CAKE

Est yearly: $68,534.03 or 5,333 Cake

So you mean to tell me that if I took out a loan from my bank at $100K at 4%  APR my monthly payment would be approximately $459/month BUT I will make $5632.93 per month.

So a passive income of $5,583.93!!!!!

This is one of those situations that asks...........is this to good to be true.

Am I missing something?

Theoretically speaking, this is right analysis considering that the token you are investing is a stablecoin. Token that usually providing high APY for staking are those who has a very volatile price that's why they introduce staking to minimize volatility by locking the funds.

Let's say you invest on Cake while the price is 20$ then after a year it went down to 10$ while the APY is 60%. So it means that you earn only 10% since the original value of the token you invest went down 50% while your APY earnings was 60%.

I decided to just bet on CS:GO while there are still major team playing on tournament.

CSGO is just a better game anyhow, so time well invested either way.    This result is not really supposed to happen, Gambit is ranking world number 1 but we also have the abnormal condition of missing out LAN finals for a long time and IEM is just now one of the first hence potential for upset results.

FAZE are good in theory pretty much always but also often fail to deliver, here they did the opposite and were the surprise to most.

This is what I'm talking about, Top team being slayed by underdog team making big upset, Betting a handicap pick is the best for this kind of matchup though. Well noted on this team for future reference on my bet.

I just watch last night the grand finals on IEM, s1mple gameplay is so sick, He even defeat 2 enemy at the same time on a close range using a sniper rifle while the enemy has a carbine rushing towards his position. His aim is superb which he didn't even need scope since he is just using it for just split second before he shot. Really love watching this game now.
3278  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Time to buy some low cap coins on: July 19, 2021, 05:17:58 AM
one of the best low market cap coins 2021

1. Matic Network (MATIC)
2. Zilliqa (ZIL)
3. Blockstack (STX)
4. SiaCoin (SIA)
5. Docademic (MTC)
6. SelfKey (KEY)
7. Basic Attention Token (BAT)
8. Linda

What is the definition of low caps coin you are describing on your topic because most of the coin listed on your list was trading above average million dollar volume daily and belongs to top 100 in terms of marketcap. Most of them was already listed on famous CEX like Binance. Classification of low caps coin should be determine on trading volume and where it was listed exchange because your main reason investing on this kind of coin is to catch it before a price discovery happened so if you are looking for coin already exposed to hype and just dump due to hype was over then list is nonsense to me. Maybe the list of undervalued coin on current market.
3279  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][KPHI] Kephi Gallery | NFT Collectibles for All 🔥 on: July 19, 2021, 04:45:33 AM

Save the date: Kephi Token (KPHI) IFO is finally here!

The moment we’ve all been waiting is here! We are so excited to announce that we will be holding our IFO (Initial Farm Offering) on BecoSwap IFO platform, on Friday July 30th, 1 p.m. (UTC).

We will be selling a total amount of 4,000,000 KPHI tokens at 0.06 USD each, and the window will be open for ONLY 2 HOURS! So please, save the date and time and start getting ready for it.

Also, as a show of our appreciation to our initial investors, we will be airdropping a very special NFT to those who participate on the IFO.

So this is the reason why BECO bounce back from a long downtrend then. I bought BECO yesterday when price was below 6 KAI each and my portfolio went up by 20% from then. What will be the total supply of KPHI token on Kardiachain alone and is there any minimum LP amount needed to participate on this IFO? I participate on IFO on defily lately and I suffer huge loss when they burn all my LP tokens while I get only minimum token not proportion to what I stake. So is becoswap IFO is same with defily mechanics?

Guys I need help. I want to bet on CS:GO as it has an active tournament right now since Dota2 is waiting for TI tournament. I'm a player of CS:GO too but I'm not updated on the pro scene especially the teams and roster. I want to know what's the underrated team so that I can watch and bet them with high odds. Your suggestion is much appreciated and I will do my own research, So don't feel responsible for your suggestion.  Wink
You mean the IEM tournament for CSGO right ? The odds are somewhat one sided though so it's difficult to go for higher odds but fwiw I have Navi to win @1.4 here since they're the better team at the moment as G2 was one crucial round away from losing the series yesterday. The -1.5 map handicap is an okay alternative if you really prefer better odds but don't put too much units on it though.

I prefer betting on the underdog team with +1.5 handicap. Usually it offers a good odds around 1.5 and above if they have a crucial fight. I never go for -1.5 even in dota2 since underdog team usually aims to get atleast 1 match  and having a goal means they are more motivated to win. I will try to analyse there next game and might try to bet some safe bet. Thanks to your advice!
