How many GPUs and in what conditions are you mining with that you need that kind of cooling?
It won't be effectively cooling its maximum load for a month or so, but I expect to cool about 11,214 watts of ASICs and GPUs with this based on my research.

I'm not really sure how accurate this number is because there is very little information on the subject, but I plan on adding rigs/ASICs until it can no longer deal with the heat.  Wink

To get this number I used a very safe (IMO) formula of every watt producing 3.21 BTUs

I expect to be able to cool more, especially since there's already a 5000 BTU A/C window unit there.

It seems like BFL said "screw it" and are just going to ship Jalapenos in SC Single cases for every order.

All images for a Jalapeno through the Single have been changed to look like a Single now:

3265  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: MtGox & Litecoin - Its all a rumor gone out of control on: April 20, 2013, 08:08:40 AM
I think MtGox staff has been busy.

They said they will implement LTC soon, and I believe them.

They have a pretty good rep in the Bitcoin community, I don't think they'd risk it over a practical joke that could cause people to lose a lot of money. (IE. someone hearing the news and investing a lot into Litecoin and them not actually ever planning on implementing it.)

Again,

No will to read or research.

As I have always maintained, I am not immune for typographic or grammatical errors. Unless you wish to actually find out the truth in our offering I.e verifying with BFL or other members, then stop wasting everyone time. This is now seriously childish.

Regards

Rofl- I'm not going to continue to waste my time with you.

Everyone knows by now I think you're a scammer, so I will leave it up to them to decide who is right.

Good luck selling your overpriced "non scam" mining contracts on hardware that won't be delivered until 2014.

I'm sure it will work out really well for your investors.

I'll leave you alone for now.

Adios
3267  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: is cloudhashing.com a scam?? on: April 20, 2013, 07:25:17 AM
cloudhasher, I would like to clarify something...

The "Hero Member" title is not a title bestowed upon someone for their acts or deeds. It is merely a title given to you when you reach a certain post count. (crossposted to other thread)

Actually.. I got my "Hero Member" status after saving 2 babies and a kitten from a burning building.

Hi,

Coinhoarder, I do hope you are aware that the world does exist outside of this board?

Kev, Purely because of one's ethnicity, you decide to judge them a scam. That tell me more of you than anything else. You only need check with BFNL to confirm if the order number I have presented are in fact genuine or fake.

For both your information, we started selling contracts to businesses and individuals we know personally or worked with previously before deciding to take this online. If you can't understand that then I am obviously wasting my time.

Before labelling the post with your obvious racial issues (kev with Nigerians) and paranoia or wish for something to be fake (coinhoarder). Do some research.

1) Call BFL to confirm order numbers
2) Check our verified Paypal status. My organisation has done over $100,000 worth of business with them in a short time period
3) Actually visit the website and read what it days here

Without a will to read or research, you are just blowing hot air on this board and nothing else. I have had 3 senior members vet me. I have sent them bank statements, Paypal statements to show orders before launching the website and many other proofs.
Its general what happens in a search for truth.

this is nothing more than a witch hunt.

You simply cant accept or want to accept that somebody that doesn't sound or look like you can pull this off. Maybe check with members that helped vet us, the calibre of work we are currently employed in. That might incense you further.

Good day to you.

Every time you post I can tell more and more that English is not your first language.

Scam on scammer.

I give Bitcoin businesses and projects my full support... likely scams on the other hand, I will not hold back my opinion.

3269  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Buying BFL debt. $0.10 per dollar owed. on: April 20, 2013, 06:57:46 AM
You guys... don't get me wrong, I've been one of BFL's biggest critics for a long time.

The only difference in between me and you is I think they will ship eventually.

I agree they are liars, crooks, and scumbags. But I think they are liars, crooks, and scumbags that will eventually deliver a product.
3270  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Buying BFL debt. $0.10 per dollar owed. on: April 20, 2013, 06:55:36 AM
I believe BFL will ship. Albeit 7 moths late and way off on their power/speed estimates, but they will ship.

My biggest grievance is that they are liars and continue to lie to their customers that funded their R&D.

Their biggest concern from day 1 has been to keep the preorder money flowing into their bank account.

The problem is: What is your definition of ship? Because technically they shipped a unit to Luke. Will they ship all of the orders full blown, or will they ship a few every month lol.

No, they did not "technically ship a unit to Luke." That was a BS April fools, smoke and mirrors, get out of losing all the BTC we made on our bet kind of deal.

By shipping I mean shipping their product to every customer that still has a pre-order, I actually believe they will do this.

But, of course they will be slow with shipping and not ship anywhere close to the numbers they were suggesting (400/day)... it's BFL.... It took them like 6 months+ to ship all their FPGA preorders. I'm pretty sure they have more ASIC preorders than they did FPGAs because they've been advertising like crazy since day 1. So... I'd say AT LEAST 6 months for them to make it out of their preorder backlog, probably more like 9 though.

My point is:
Personally, Frome the name on the invoice and I think you are a Nigerian,
Please do not offer to send me a scan of your passport to prove otherwise,
I am from UK and have spent years in Nigeria, unlike most on this board. So I have first hand experience of just how intricate and complicated the scams can get.

Many people here have helped me with advice so my purpose is to try and encourage people do their own due dilligence before parting with cash.
Not only is your surname typical of the Yoruba tribe from Benin, SW Nigeria, but Emmanuel is a common Nigerian name too.
You should be pleased that an "Oyibo" is so well versed with your culture.

For all I know, your business venture could be legitimate and if so, I wish you luck.

All I am saying is "Buyer Beware"

Good Day.

Kev.

I agree with your assessment.

This has smelled really fishy to me since he started posting here, I'm glad someone else can see through the smoke and mirrors.

His "proof" he ordered the hardware can easily be faked in Photoshop in less than 5 minutes by anyone with half a brain.

He still is holding onto the fact that he sold 5000+ contracts without advertising ANYTHING here on bitcointalk or even mentioning his services.

What kind of Bitcoin start up launches their business without posting here on Bitcointalk? I'll give you the answer in case you're not sure, NONE!
3274  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Bitcoin Hardware/Mining Services on: April 20, 2013, 06:23:38 AM
Thank you for taking cloudhashing off of the "Approved non scam list".

I am still 98% positive that is a scam, it is just a well implemented scam with faked documents, a legit website, etc.

I was kind of shocked you gave them your seal of approval, but did not say anything. I guess because he sent you his forged BFL preorder proof you did this, I can see your reasoning. But this kind of information can be easily faked by anyone that has Photoshop and half a brain.

3275  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin FPGA Production - Serious Inquiry on: April 20, 2013, 01:19:44 AM
Interesting. Thanks for the detailed post, especially the last part where you share your results.

This is good news as far as I am concerned, the whole point of Litecoin using Scrypt was so it would be difficult for specialised hardware to have a massive performance edge.

Hi mr_random!

I think it's a good thing. Although Litecoin was made so that it could only be mined on CPUs, that has been proven wrong and now GPUs can mine it much more efficiently. This allows the evil bloodsuckers that are bot nets to feed off our Litecoin ecosystem, just like they did on Bitcoin for years.

Specialized hardware will make strides to push bot netters off the network and on to some other ALT coin. Once they can't compete profitably, they'll be outta here. I don't thing FPGAs will completely accomplish this goal, but ASICs will just like they have/will do with Bitcoin.

Also, custom mining hardware for a crypto currency is somewhat proof that you've actually "made it" as a currency, and you'll most likely be around for a while.
3276  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL 5 GH/s Miner Demo on: April 19, 2013, 11:57:05 PM
When is the Jalapeno getting FCC approval?

Maybe two weeks? We are waiting for the test lab to issue the test report.

With the bump in power requirements on the MR and the new screen, we had to make changes, although the new screen is already certified.  We are doing all the devices at once, since they all share the same board.

That quote from Inaba makes me sick to my stomach... BFL are such lying scumbags.

CH, opinions are like ______, everyone has one.  Cool   Was just giving mine. Appreciate what your saying and I respect your 9 months but I think if you look alittle closer you would see an improvement in your U: and WU: per minute scores trying what I suggested.

I guess we'll just agree to disagree.

I have found intensity 18 to be the sweet spot.

You are actually the first person I've EVER heard of that runs at intensity 13. There must be some reason for that, no?  Tongue
3280  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: GPUs can't run at 20 intensity..?? on: April 19, 2013, 11:09:51 PM
When I mine for litecoin I run -I 13. I know everyone wants to have that "super" high hash rate but the truth is you want consistent hashes. When you run a high intensity watch your hash rate. If it is bouncing above and below your average..I would turn it down. Also..check to make sure you have powertune set to 20. If all that fails try to increase your volts going to your pcie lanes in the motherboard BIOS. 1.3v to 1.35v(default should be 1.25v)I have mine set to 1.3v.

zif

I disagree. As long as there are no hardware errors/stales and your rig runs stable and at a decent temperature, you should run it at the highest intensity possible.

Been doing it that way for 9 months now without any problems.
