Now this is just my day!! I placed an order on crypsy and then it disapperared. No open orders, no sign of where my btc or drks went. Have someone tried this before? Its just gone, no sign and i'm not kidding. Freaking a little out here! Undecided

CRYPTSY SUCKS! TAKE IT OFF THE #1 POSITION ON THE OP! STOP FUNNELING THE NOOBS INTO IT!!! IT'S FUCKING DRK ADOPTION BY MAKING DRK LOOK STUPID!

Mintpal #1 now in OP.

Wait a few minutes. Their system lags too much.

Just to inform you after around 13 hours my cryptsy DRK deposit has finally cleared....

Yep. Mine too.

I have spoken with someone at cryptsy. Its not their fault. They are trying to fix a problem where multiple layered TX id's arent registering all the payments within that block. They are working on it, its just a itsy bitsy problem but they have closed deposits just as precaution. Nothing to worry about

Thanks for the update... However, if it's not their fault, but rather something with tx id's, reason dictates that every single exchange should have the same issue Roll Eyes

Why is no-one doing arbitrage between MintPal & Cryptsy? They've been around 5% apart for hours.

Cryptsy is giving me hell in depositing DRKs today. Don't know why. Pending for houuuuuuurs. It's site is also very slow and unresponsive. By the time you place an order to fill an existing order, that offer is gone.

darkcoin is a direct copy of the encryption used in Monero, right? Like the cryptonote algo coin?

No, people were DarkSending money before Bytecoin was even known to exist.

When DRK hits $100 a masternode will be worth 100,000 bucks
Who will risk running such a server besides security geniuses?

Could this become an issue. will future masternodes require less DRK?

Evan said he is not considering lowering the DRK requirement for masternode. 1000DRK is reasonable enough and will make the 51% attack harder in the end

What we need next is someone with some programming talent to make a site like a pool, but you buy shares of a masternode. So when masternodes are much more expensive, they could still be divided down to a reasonable level. This would also allow someone who was not computer savvy to invest in masternodes, which is optimal.

I suggest the software not be based on anything existing, so it could become a darkcoin advantage over the competition. It seems pretty simple though, you buy shares for 1DRK, then it has some screens for stats and it pays out dividends much like MPOS.

Would that not in a way centralise the masternodes?

I don't think so, you share only one masternode in a server not all of them.

Plus, remember the people that have 1000 drk plus will set up their masternodes regardless without the use of such a service. So the idea will only add to the total number of masternodes. Ergo, decentralization will be as good as it was without this multipool type masternode service maybe a little better.

I think we'll always have 70-80% of the masternodes operatored by individuals even after they're really expensive to run. But when they get that expensive, it would be nice to have some kind of alternative for investors/supporters. It also increases the overall capitalization of the masternode network, which is really good for the coin. Otherwise this is going to become something just for large investors really quick, so I think it's a good compromise.

It will also have the side effect of people not parking -even their small amounts- to exchanges, but rather have it in small "masternode pools". This will reduce fractional practices (as exchanges can operate with more DRKs than they have), creating more (actual) coin demand. It will also allow Darkcoin to be less gox-able when massive exchanges go down and take half a million coins. If people have incentive NOT to park their money in exchanges, a serious issue is solved.

may be we should paste the peers dat and this very good explanation also on the webpage or on page one of this forum? is this possible?

I've updated the FAQ and added this in "persistent sync issues", question #69

Can somebody explain from where the masternodepayments come from. Itīs not from transaction fees, but 10% from mining.
Does that mean reward for miners will drop or will these 10% be ontop on the blockreward, which means more coin supply ?
Miners will get 90% of the block / masternodes 10%. So, it's miners -10%.

Thanks, this will make DRK the most most unprofitable coin to mine even it is on a ATH ( since minimum 2..3 months now )
Is there anything i canīt see. Wtf is mining this coin instead of buying ?

Perhaps you are calculating profitability with no power use or with very low electric cost. Otherwise, DRK is usually at the top of the list in terms of profitability among altcoins listed on coinwarz.

Go to coinwarz, use scrypt 333 kh / DRK 1000 kh and then play around with power prices 0.2 / 0.3 / 0.4$ per kwh (while adjusting power consumption for DRK at 50%) and you'll see the part of the puzzle that is missing.

The development program

Old schedule...

- RC2 (magic numbers changed to darkcoin, DGW3) : May 14th
- RC2 (masternode payments) : May 25th
- RC3 (10 DRK limit and denominated change) : June 14th
- After this, I'll find someone to vet the code and open source.
- RC4 (Bugs, security issues)
- Testing, then opensource

The masternode issues and the 3rd fork for the 25th actually messed up the schedule. I've been rewriting much of the code masternode technology (released yesterday, if you haven't updated please do!)

There's still some oddities with the election voting system that I'm going to tackle this next week. This I'll start working again on RC3 .

+ ring signatures + IP obfuscation in v2.

i really start to enjoy this show Smiley so Mr. X likes to play, follows our talk, he is most probably not an exchange.

And he is in a good mood, definitely, since we all know he started acquiring around 0.0014 Grin

Yeah, seems pretty "locked" right now that the #1 guy is not mintpal cold storage. They'd probably go out of business if they started handing DRK out, or play around with numbers that are meaningful in the context of forum discussion.

As for mood, yeah, pretty playful alright... there's nothing wrong with having fun while getting rich(er), lol Grin

poolsz values are getting much larger than they used to. Watching my log tail, there were rarely blocks with double-digit tx quantities a month ago. Now it's easily 30+ each block... DRK is getting a lot more use.

And, according to some theories, transaction volume and coin price go hand in hand.

Ok now you guys are just messing with me

I just received 1.503 DRK ... 1503 --- the same amount the biggest wallet created in his balance three times in a row, the number of my btctalk username.

Ahahahahah I just saw that I received 3.1415(....) DRKs...

Finders of clues gets DRKs Grin

Intersting analysis so rise to 0.043 is quite possible or may be more  , is it ?

They are just patterns. Could replay themselves, or they could not.

Blockchain bloating... for a couple of months the size is ok but in 2-3 years it'll be a nightmare. Faster times don't mean anything really, because in order to have adequate protection from forking, exchanges and merchants will require multiple confirmations to compensate.
