3321  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Where to....Poloniex? on: May 26, 2017, 09:46:47 AM
Poloniex used to have such a good reputation, but it seems that nowadays the Polo trollbox is full of people complaining about the lack of service.

Now...Poloniex make be making extraordinary amounts of money, so they could easily fix the problem....but they don't

So the problem must be that they don't care (unlikely)...or something else...what could it be?

They either clearly don't care or they're not doing that great with money. Maybe they're handling money poorly or got silently hacked and paying the loss from pocket, we don't know but they're getting shittier.
Another explanation could be that there has just been a sudden surge of new users and an increase of tickets in the past few weeks and months.
Perhaps they're just having trouble scaling up the capacity of their support.

I doubt that they got hacked, info like that would get out pretty quickly.
3322  Economy / Economics / Re: why all coins is much more expensive in korea on: May 26, 2017, 09:34:30 AM
Isn't it possible for Korean people to buy coins at other exchanges? Why would anyone pay that much more to buy BTC or ETH?
At those prices, you'd probably not even make a profit unless you're selling on those same exchanges, thus perpetuating the problem.
3323  Economy / Speculation / Re: We're reaching $3,000 soon! on: May 26, 2017, 09:20:36 AM
I believe that the small decrease in price that we just saw was not some sort of "correction" or similar, I believe someone tried to push us down, they failed.

I'll make a bold prediction:

We won't ever see 1 BTC valued at less than $2000.

What we've learned from the market very recently is that the price has been increased not only through speculation but there's a solid base to stand on.

Every day that passes by now for the last 2-3 weeks I've seen such an increase in bitcoin and crypto awareness. Gone are the endless pictures of food and stupid things on my Facebook feed and instead I'm seeing an increase and interest in crypto. Even the news here in Sweden are covering btc on a daily basis.

$5,000 is just a matter of time. I'm rooting for the million dollar bitcoin.
I'll believe it (Bitcoin never going under $2000) when we face another sort of crisis.
If a big exchange gets hacked or loses all of its customers funds and the price doesn't go under 2k, then I'd say you're right.

I'd personally like to see prices go down a bit, just so I could buy some more, knowing that the price would eventually just increase again.
3324  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 7 years ago... you could have earned almost $15,000 at today's value in 3 sec... on: May 26, 2017, 09:11:13 AM
Around 2 years ago or so, it wasn't that hard to get around 0.01 or 0.02 BTC per day from using multiple faucets and getting paid through Faucetbox (RIP).
People would still say they weren't really worth the effort, well at the time it wasn't, but with these prices you would have a really nice amount if you just saved it.

I wonder if todays faucet claims could be worth a lot in another few years? Are faucets still a thing now with these high fees?
3325  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: On what exchanges can I buy Antshares (ANT) on? on: May 25, 2017, 03:52:34 PM
Pro-tip: You can see on which exchanges altcoins are sold by visiting coinmarketcap, they list all exchanges when you click on the coin.

https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/antshares/
https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/antshares/#markets  --> List of exchanges

So in this case, it's sold on Bittrex and a couple of other exchanges that I haven't used.
3326  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you convince people into you using Bitcoin? on: May 25, 2017, 03:45:45 PM
Many people need big proof to satisfy that this site is legit ..whats the best way to convince your relatives or friends
Yes people right now didn't easily believe without showing any proof. So to convince my friends and relatives I will show to them how bitcoin work. I will also show to them some proof that i have that bitcoin is real like showing my online wallet. When they saw some proof that bitcoin is really exist its not that hard to convince them to use it to.
It isn't that hard to point them towards some articles in mainstream newspapers, I've seen up to 3 articles this week alone in a local (nationwide) newspaper.
There probably are even some articles written by professional economists, find some that are written by really reputable sources and share them.

I know my family feels pretty gutted for not investing when I told them a couple of years ago.
3327  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I'm Selling My House to Buy Litecoin on: May 25, 2017, 03:41:59 PM
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5v5y3icu6YY

This is pretty amazing. This guy somehow nailed it and is now 200% up at least. He somehow saw how the simplicity of Litecoin would be it's killer app. Im not sure if he is aware of segwit and he predicted how segwit would fail for Bitcoin and Litecoin had higher chances at getting it activated and moving a lot of capital there, but in any case, this man went all in and he's now making some killer gains.

So almost two months later and while it was/is a risk,
I think it was a pretty good call!

Dollar value today is $2763.71 and back on the 3rd
of April was $1129.90, nice return eh?
Have you even read the thread title? We're talking about LITECOIN here and you're listing the Bitcoin prices....
People selling houses for Bitcoin has already happened btw, found a story of a guy in Canada selling his house for Bitcoin.
3328  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What Happen If Gambling was not introduced? on: May 25, 2017, 03:13:25 PM
The world would have been a better place, full of hardworking and enterprising people and less of greedy fellows.
The world is still full of hard work and those people who know that the real profit is in hard working are doing their hard work and are earning their profit and are happy while in gambling only those people relying for living who do not know about hard working and who cannot do hard work.

Agree with you BUT I have a good friend who is a professional gambler who really into it and gambles like it is his business. He have a book-like of strategies and keep on playing calculated bets. It is really hardwork. He even taught me but I didn't survive Cheesy

I guess that your friend really take gambling as a business, as a way to earn big amount of money. But yeah, teaching you by his technique and strategy on gambling can't assure you that you could also experience the luck that he is having everytime he do gambling. You might want to try another way, like Trading or Investing, it depends on your passion though.
I wish he would have mentioned what form of gambling he's talking about. You don't want people to think that you can be a professional roulette player Roll Eyes
Most likely poker or maybe blackjack I would say, if it's even true.
3329  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: From gambling site faucet to cash out? on: May 25, 2017, 01:09:19 PM
I've done this a couple of times with the faucet on Crypto-games, but I'm a reasonably high level there, so I get 4800 satoshi's per faucet claim, 24 times a day.
I think i've cashed out 0.01 and 0.02 BTC from that, maybe more.
3330  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: which one is best? on: May 25, 2017, 01:03:37 PM
which one is best for trading alt coins? poloniex or bittrex?  Huh Huh
Neither of them, don't rely on 1 or 2 specific exchanging services, that's bad and further centralizes the market, although trading is not as profitable as everyone believes, you can't simply earn hundreds of dollars by a few mouse clicks, I'm speaking from experience as I and my borthers have suffered loss of fund so many times. so please be careful.
I could suggest for instant exchange:
1.Shapeshift.
2.Changelly.

And for day trading having the ability to put your own orders:
1.Cryptopia.
2.C-cex.com.
3.GDAX.
4.Kraken.
5.Yobit.
If you're serious about trading altcoins and want a big selection, you practically have no other option than using Poloniex or Bittrex, they have the biggest trading volume.
I certainly wouldn't recommend Yobit, just look for reviews, many people are experiencing problems with them.

Most of the other exchanges you've listed only have a couple of altcoins to choose from and while cryptopia has a pretty big selection, their UI isn't really the best and they do not have a lot of trading volume.
3331  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin OVERFLOW => If You Are Not Rich Now :) It <Mean You'll Never .... on: May 25, 2017, 12:48:38 PM
I don't want to turn this into a speculation thread, but I think it's pretty clear by now that even $3000 per Bitcoin looks pretty likely at this point.
Though, I dissagree with your title, it certainly is still possible to get rich with Bitcoin, any middle class person could still save up and invest, even when BTC prices are this high.

I'm even starting to believe that those crazy $10.000/BTC predictions might come true sooner than we think.
3332  Economy / Economics / Re: How to invest in casinos? on: May 24, 2017, 03:50:28 PM
I know I'm kinda repeating what 'KuromaYoichi' already said, but Crypto-Games is a really good choice if you want to start investing in a Bitcoin casino.
I'll list a few additional benefits that he didn't mention:

- They have a really low minimum invest requirement, starting from 0.01 BTC, I believe.
- You can cancel your investment after 24 hours, but you pay a small fee for short term investments, they do charge a small fee if you invest for under 3 weeks
- Little variance, there's a low chance of getting a loss on your investment, they have max. win rates in place. Just take a look at the site's stats, they have a steady profit, though it might be a bit slower than comparable Bitcoin casino's.
- Ability to invest with lots of different altcoins: Bitcoin, Dash, Doge, ETH, Gridcoin, Litecoin, Peercoin & Monero
3333  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: If you had 50.000$ what Bitcoin project would you do? on: May 24, 2017, 02:44:04 PM
I would personally hire a web developer to build me a Bitcoin related website, it wouldn't cost 50k obviously, but I think it would be a great source of income if you're able to make it succesful.
3334  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Watch cinemas using bitcoin on: May 24, 2017, 02:38:26 PM
Back in 2015 this was big news, but things might have changed a bit since then. I know some merchants who started accepting Bitcoin has stopped, because there were not enough business to support for it. If we want services and merchants to continue supporting Bitcoin, we will have to use Bitcoin for their services.

Can anymore say if they still pay for movies with bitcoins?
I doubt there are a lot of people who use Bitcoin for actual purchases, especially now that volatility is so high and you'd pay a couple of dollars in fees alone.
On the other hand, with prices so high, people might be willing to 'cash out' by making some larger purchases with Bitcoin, in those cases even a fee of a couple of dollars isn't too bad.
3335  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Happy Bitcoin Pizza Day everyone ! on: May 22, 2017, 10:28:59 AM
Would be fun to know if the pizza seller kept his 10'000 bitcoins or sold them for 30$ days later !!!
He probably sold them, you can look at the address of the original transaction here:
https://blockchain.info/address/17SkEw2md5avVNyYgj6RiXuQKNwkXaxFyQ

This is Lazlo's address, 81000 Bitcoins spent on pizza in total, he mentions it in another thread.

3336  Economy / Economics / Re: Hackers Are Emptying ATMs With a Single Drilled Hole and $15 Worth of Gear on: May 19, 2017, 09:33:02 PM
Most ATM's are still running Windows XP, support for the embedded XP version ended in January 2016...
Once you get inside the machine, it's pretty easy to exploit this.

The article states that the hackers were able to drill a small hole next to the PIN pad, seems like something that could be secured better.
3337  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: why people use dice bot? on: May 19, 2017, 08:12:30 PM
Dice bots are the most stupid thing imo.

Why do you gamble? For the gambling experience I presume.

The dice bot takes all of that away and basically hands over the house edge to the casino. I really don't get it.
Some peopel just have fun by developing gambling strategies, it could be more fun for them to see it all played out by a bot rather than doing it manually.
I'm not saying that those strategies are 100% succesful, but I reckon that watching a win streak in a dice bot is just as fun as seeing it on other games.
3338  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Giving up gambling is not easy on: May 19, 2017, 08:09:54 PM
I tried to quit gambling for good but since im in campaign everytime i received payment from the campaign i can't let my self not to place bets even small bets till i play for long time i can't imagine the money i lose because of gambling how if i stocked them all in my account like web wallet do maybe i will start next month.
Why don't you just get your money in fiat then and have it in cash if you cannot control yourself online?
If it's that much of a problem you really need to work on your self-control.
3339  Economy / Economics / Re: Smart Passive Income on: May 19, 2017, 07:25:30 PM
Faucets are a good model how to monetize traffic, but well if you have a good project you can turn it into an unlimited cash machine, with that said the best is to put a network banners to monetize each visit you get, adsense the best but their rules very restricted.
Probably the worst idea to monetize your website. You might barely make $100 per month if you have a decent custom faucet that's almost completely resistant to bots and find some of the best advertisers.
Add the fact that Bitcoin isn't even useable anymore for micropayments doesn't help either.
3340  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do you guys think about Casino and dice games? on: May 19, 2017, 07:11:58 PM
Well to my opinion casino should not be played for to earn profit from. Yes there are people who are making quite handsome and big earnings from the casino but these are known as the professionals. They work on it. For them gambling is their routine activity to go and to earn some from it. These are the genius and extreme lucky people.
AFAIK genius cannot make profits from casinos, yes your degree will not get you opportunities to beat the house edge and lucky people may not find possibilities to become professionals. Hence I am not finding any chances for those people to be existing in real life. Making profits from casino might be possible only in fictional stories.

People who got inspired by rumors do develop greedy opinions about entire gambling industry and keep trying to copy those fictional stories.
Have you not seen the movie 21 about the MIT blackjack team which is based on a real story? People still do that, just saw a documentary about it recently.
Card counting isn't even illegal under US federal law. Casino's can ban you or try to prevent you from doing it, but you're not going to go to jail for it.

Just stating that what you're saying is wrong, a genius can definitely make money from a casino, legally.

This documentary is a must watch IMO:
The Player: Secrets of a Vegas Whale

Synopsis:
Quote
Don Johnson is known for beating three casinos in Vegas in a single night. In the documentary, Johnson explains his strategy, and admits he needed a little luck, but his winnings were mostly due to smart gambling.

In the documentary, the big whale player explains how he beat the system, and how he managed to turn the odds to his favor playing table games. As most veteran players know, it is almost impossible to win lot of money with table games, as odds are always stacked against you.

The theory explained in the documentary is simple, when casinos in Vegas and Atlantic City were down in popularity and money, they needed big name whales such as Johnson to play. They offered whales benefits, which Johnson used to take advantage of the system.

His system was simple, he managed to arrange a 20% refund every time he lost money, and by splitting and doubling, he managed to get up to $50,000 in free play. Using different methodologies, as well as scaring dealers into committing errors, Johnson is still ranked as one of the top 10 winners in a single night in casinos.
